Really really appreciate you taking the time to make these detailed essay deconstruction videos. Followed some of these tips for my essays last semester and managed to get first-class honours for all of them! Also, it is a shame that videos like this have 3K views and random phone unboxing videos have 3M+ views.
Just a little tip. Word will do references for you, select style and just fill in the name, date, type of reference. And keeps in a whole book for you to put in any reference easily. This also starts your bibliography, just add extra articles you read but didn't reference.

Loved the idea of putting a white letter in your Bibliography instead of a space to keep the word count down. Of course, you could do that for your whole essay... *head-spin*
Mind maps good forming structure for introduction. You have to know the topic well to do it. Don't frame personal opinion in an essay.... like saying "I think".... say "current evidence / literature / research indicates .....
Andrew Boilson saying current evidence states etc. is a good way to present pre-existing research on the topic however in select circumstances (not consistently throughout an essay) it is perfectly okay to say ‘I argue...’ when presenting you’re own contention in order to stress that this is your new take on the subject as opposed to the general consensus or existing scholarship. This can be seen in numerous academic papers.

Good job Rosie. ☺☺☺☺
but if it’s your opinion why would you word it as current research/research indicate?- you’re opinion is not research because it’s not tested
@@sassybish9121 exactly so don't state opinions in academic essays or papers unless you were instructed to do so.....
@@BoilsonA my point was to write your opinions about the sources e.g. if it is too out of date, not to state your own views as academic fact
