In a duel to the death, who would win-PB&J or grilled cheese? Are you team whole wheat or sourdough? It does not take much thought to realize that a great sandwich and a good life have a lot in common. In this session, we’ll explore the vital combination of ingredients for both.

As far as the last Q. Once the tears are shed, once the days, weeks, months and years of trauma relived, then it serves me no good purpose to revisit. Yet it frequently visits me, without my consent, and THEN and only then do I sit inside the dreaded emotions it all conjures up (as if I were once again 7 and hiding under my bed) and refuse comfort. That's when I ask hard questions: "What is my part?" And often the answer is, "You return to broken cisterns seeking, always seeking. I understand com0ketely why Israel wandered for forty years within a few miles of home.
Often, after there is no more but a sharp stab of recalling, I intentionally focus away from those elements that preach death.
News is mostly gone. Music is on and uplifting. Poetry here, piles of books, all being picked up throughout the long days of winter.. I count those things that I am grateful for. And when I once again, rejoin my whole self -- body, mind and spirit, a calm stays. It stays. That is the best of all feelings. I think it's love.
