  • This was our first weekend where we were able to take the quads (Can-Yam?) out with no passengers. It was so much more fun riding together on our own ATVs. I failed to get a good bit of our mud riding footage as my camera (DJI Osmo Action) decided that it would just stop recording whenever it wants. The Kodiak beats me in the mud.

      We liked it so much that I traded my Outlander in on a grizzly. Thanks for watching.

      My goal is to keep the videos under 30 minutes and I typically have 1.5 hours of footage, it's hard to squeeze it in sometimes. However, if my cam keeps shutting off randomly it will be much easier...😅. Thanks again for watching.

      Thanks man! Yeah we were limited on choices as the bed of my truck is 47 inches wide, the Kodiak is 46.5, so it's a squeeze. I have always liked the 700 engine and my wife liked the smaller size. Hope all is well up your way.

    I have a 2021 Grizzly EPS and my wife has a 2021 kodiak EPS . She traded up from a 2019 450 Kodiak and I had a 2019 kodiak 700 Eps. She said the 450 was to whimpy and didn't have as good of Guage cluster or diff lock. I agree with you, no rock music blaring over the machine going or no obnoxious loud pipes. They get so annoying 🙄 I did get us both whiskeybent exhaust tip 1.5 and 45 degree bend. It helps on bottom end and I deleted the AIS which stops the popping exhaust. We put on EHS tuners but I can tell you don't waste your money on those. Tried them for 2 weekend trying different settings and they made the machines run worse. We both run the Zillas and really like them and I put ITP wheels on mine she's still running the stock black aluminum Yamaha wheels. Where did you get your mirror? We both have the Koplin but they wobble while riding. Keep the videos coming and I subscribed 👍

      I did the same thing to my grizzly. Deleted ais and I now have a whiskey bent tip and love it. Just right, not too loud. I also added a 1.3mm clutch shim which made it a bit more peppy. Our mirrors are Kemimoto, wife took the right, I took the left.

      At the end of each week she starts monitoring the weather for Friday because she is itching to ride now. We have much more fun with 2 and I love the Kodiak, it's a little beast.

    What tires are you running on the outlander? And how have the mud lites worked on the Kodiak? Any extra wear issues like wheel bearing issues or anything?

    • @chasintrail
      @chasintrail  2 года назад

      In this video I still had the ITP Terracross stock tires. The mud lite XTRs seem to be working great all around. They are a bit sensitive at higher speeds with turning. I think with the next set we will go with a more square setup, maybe 10 wide all around. No bearing issues whatsoever.

      We are rather timid riders. However, the percentage of head injuries from ATV and small motor cycles is the same as the percentage from exercise equipment. May want to hit up the workout channels and let’s get them wearing helmets. Even higher in walkers/runners.

    Cool video. Not sure why u would ever put a 4wheeler in low gear for. Only to pull someone out of the mud or going down a steep hill is when u use low.

    • @chasintrail
      @chasintrail  Год назад +1

      Gonna assume you don't ride much as there are many reasons to use low when riding a belt driven vehicle. Putting it in low allows the CVT to grip the belt tighter to avoid slippage.

    me gustan tus videos gaba más lugares , me podrías ayudar con una duda ? quiero una can-am no hay vendedores en mi país ya busque mucho. solo hay yamaha pero yo quisiera una outlander max para andar con mi novia muy cómodos y más seguros. pero veo que yamaha no tiene una versión max para otro pasajero 😢 pero veo que tu novia anda atrás en tu outlander pero no es la max.. entonces es o no peligroso andar así.. ? que tu moto se levante mucho y se caen de espalda? esque tengo mucha duda y tendré que decidir por una yamaha

      Hay otras marcas que quizás desee consultar, como Polaris y CFmoto, que ofrecen vehículos todo terreno 2up. Creo que dependería de tu tamaño y del tamaño de tu pasajero. La mayoría de los pasajeros que he llevado son más pequeños y he estado montando vehículos todo terreno toda mi vida. A mi esposa le gustan los vehículos todo terreno normales más que los 2up, ya que puede enfrentarse a mí en los vehículos todo terreno tipo pasajero, que están separados. También creo que, en muchas situaciones, un ATV normal puede ser más seguro ya que su peso está más centrado que los ATV de 2 plazas. Lo mejor que puede hacer sería sentarse en ellos con ella o montar un vehículo todo terreno de amigos si es posible. No viajo agresivamente con un pasajero, por lo que en cierto modo podría ser más seguro.

    rock them. even if its a leisurely ride. I'm guilty of it as well. But I'm also putting around my yard, not in the woods and water holes. Cool videos nonetheless.

      Hey man, thanks for watching and I do appreciate the concern, I really do. I put proper training and/or experience plus good judgement ahead of protective equipment as that can prevent the accident or occurrence all together. I understand we should all take available precautions regardless, but I'm not wrapping myself in bubble wrap 😅. I do wear a helmet when doing anything that could end up out of my control, but honestly, I'm getting too old for that. Mostly flat grounds and lower speeds here.
