That’s great to hear man, I hope you enjoy it. I have no desire for other quads after getting the grizz. I recently installed a 1.3mm shim in the clutch which pepped it up a bit. I would recommend rerouting the gas tank breather tube that is running down the frame in the rear ending near the diff to somewhere higher or towards the front. Mine was filled with mud which could make its way into the gas tank.

Was this your first time riding an atv? It sure looked like it the way you were going up that hill halfway and back down near the begining. I kept saying just go up the hill lol.

Which machine you like better, the Kodiak or the grizzly?

Overall, I like the Grizzly better. It gives a more plush ride and feels peppier. Add a Grizzly seat and Grizzly clutch weights to the Kodiak and I’d imagine it’d be pretty close.

@Chasin' Trail what about the way they turn, are they the same there?
I had a 16 grizzly when they first came out with this new style. Main difference is at that time yamaha was using a 708 subaru motor. One issue it had was it didn't turn real well, it had bad front end push. Acted like I had a bunch of weight on the back rack. Tried several different kinds of tires and sizes, dealer checked the toe among other things, all seemed good. Front end never did follow through as tight as older grizzlies or the king quads I had. Even the wife complained it didn't turn real well.

@@curtisbull1583 I personally like how it turns, no issues. I feel like it is the most balanced ATV I have ridden. I always land flat on all fours when jumping. The zillas aren’t the best for fast turns of course, others have had better luck with more trail oriented tires. I had to stiffen the suspension a notch to reduce body roll on turns, that was my only issue. I weight around 155, not sure if rider weight has anything to do with it, but the machine itself is light. It’s definitely lighter on the turns than my outlander was.

No helmets? I have seen and done things on dirt bikes and ATVs when it can in handy, seen someone die on a 3 wheeler, he was not wearing a helmet…….it’s cheap insurance to wear one

Very true, applies to any activity in life. Technically there are more head injuries from walking, hiking, even working out… but it will be a hard sell to get everyone to wear helmets while walking.
