I think it's important to remember where 70-80% of the market is.... They're not racers, or hard-core offroaders. They're just weekend warriors, farmers, etc. They're not meant to be peak performance machines, they have whole lineups dedicated to that. These are machines for the masses. The 650 single is going to give you that low speed torque, wich is what most people want on the trail. The added storage features are huge. And the price points are a major factor. Especially when you consider CF moto moving into the space. As an average guy rider with limited funding.... This is a homerun.
Durability improved? Shifter engagement and tranny whine improved? If these few issues are ironed out in the new models a new 50/700 DPS model would be at the top of my list!
They said that they did in fact improve those on the new ones as well as the excessive heat that you get on your legs with can ams. It was in one of the first videos that came out about the new 500/700 quads.
Wont know about Durability for a few years, but the shifter is now flawless. The whine is gone, as are the squeaky shocks. It's like riding a totally different machine. Love mine.
Best thing about this new 700 is that it might convince Yamaha to improve the Grizzly / Kodiak. Probably not though since it really just matches the Yamaha with a few added bells and whistles. Maybe not enough incentive to take the chance on the longevity, dealer network, lack of parts, etc. that people complain about with Can-Am.
Yes I will be keeping my vtwins thats why I went from grizzly and rincon to can am vtwins . Looking for different crowd for these single cylinders. Not bad looking
Join a highlifter group, batteries, starters, front diffs seem to last 6 months at best. I really really wanted one but owners convinced me to pick my rubi
Sorry if I offend you, but that was the worst review of the new mid range quads that can am has come out with. Unless this channel is exclusively for racers? The pro 5 and 7 base are great machines that blow away everything else in those segments. And the pro xu 7, which I have is just an unbeatable machine. 3 power modes, 13 inch ground clearance, suspension travel, IEB, PS, true front locker and speed control are just a few things that not one other brand comes close to. Add the ease of being able to do maintenance or add accessories and can am just destroyed every other brand.
I see your point, However its best to remember where these atvs stand with the company. Can-Am is known for hi performance machines. Every other machine that doesn't fit that, isn't too good. Why? Because they are heavy, make a lot of noise, and aren't reliable. That is the truth. I'm not hating on canam. The whole point of what I do is to tell the truth and push people to save money in the long run. I don't side with any company including my own when a lie is told. That said I do believe these machines aren't too bad so far. The xmr 700 is the best of all of them. That machine is doing well on the market. Unfortunately for the rest. There a little bit off, but that's because they lack performance compared to the rest of canam's lineup. Especially the pro models. There not selling very well due the the price. That's why it's always good to look at the facts.
The manual is out for the 500/700. Some interesting facts in there. The air intakes for the XMR and the non-XMR seem to be the same, under the console in front of the handlebars. That would be simple to snorkel. Also, for some reason, the XT is the heaviest version at 858lbs. Wonder why?
while i do occasional trail riding i mainly use the hondas at work for plowing and they are terrible 400cc is not enough for heavy snow this however i feel would do a great job at plowing for an affordable price
The highlifters compare to the 850 outlander and 1k outlander. The 700 is in a class of its own due to its low ccs. As for the sportsman 570/450. Their is no competition. The 570 sportsman alone could barely compete with the 570 outlander, and the 700 is an upgraded version of that.
comparing the new g3 models to the g2 is pointless.the whole idea of the new machines is to get new people/budget buyers and novice riders into a can am.nobody with an older model 570/650 is going to give these a second look when it's time for them to upgrade.that's what the can am big bores are for and probably why they were left alone.plus they just streamlined all the entry level machines into one platform which all the g3 accessories will fit.the whole debate is a non issue for a new rider/budget consumer, who these are most likely geared for and hp won't matter once the tuners get busy.
I see what your saying but these aren't G3. The G3s won't be out for another few years. These are just the replacement for the 450/570s. I made the comparison because most people like the V twins over these.
@@AmotorB well,i am looking through the just arrived dealer catalogue for the '23 models and they are all listed as g3L models.all accessories for these are listed as g3 not g2.a lot of the g2 stuff will not fit the new model, and none of the g3L will fit a g2,so please explain this.
@@AmotorB Can-Am is calling this the G3L in all their literature. Check the accessory page. I believe these will be first and a new upgraded 850/1000 will be released next as the G3 line.
The 700 Outlander doesn't make any sense when you take a 650CC engine and call it a 700 and cut It's 62hp down to 50hp i think they should have have left it at 62 horsepower an made the 500cc class to a 45hp. Just my thoughts.🤔

Outlander Pro XU has the visco 4 lock , extra low low range and 6 ply 26 inch stock tires as well !
I bought a XT MAX 700 and so far all is good. Only thing that I miss is differential lock that my Arctic Cats had. Very smooth operating.

They still have the 850/1000
what’s crazy to me is i bought my new 2018 850xt was $13.200 out the door a new 700 is $10.800 before our 13% sales tax
You watch they will be a good quad and a good seller
Prices for machines have tripled since 2000. Wages haven't. Guess I'll walk.
Nice,more knowledge on the 700 xmr,I was able to find a 570 xmr,but also a 22 850 h.l. for 200.00 less,what do you think about the two?
The highlifter 850 will definitely have more power then the 570 xmr. Also the highlifter comes with much better mud tires then the can ams do

@@davidforsythe3037 true, but the pro hunting addition has the winch and skids but weighs 20 lbs less. Strange

How do these compare to CFMOTO cforce 4, 5, and 600 models?
Miles ahead of the cfmoto junk
The outlander 500/700 use the same 650cc just different tunes and camshaft’s
The Xmr also brings a winch and bumpers
Sounds like a Honda sorry people only bought for the v twin..
Your HP rating for the grizzly 700 is definitely off, it's 48.6Hp, essentially 49hp.
The 450 uses the same piston, head as an 850 and same rod as an 800/650. It just uses one instead of two.
