sylvester is new years eve ;)
Btw: you Made it into a german newspaper with your reaction to the Wuppertaler Schwebebahn. 😊
@@marcelkissmann7380was?? Wie klasse! In welche denn?
sylvester is new years
Pls no more Memes videos... you rarely get them and the translations are not very good often either.
the whole point of the "Mien Jung" joke was that it is a german dialect and therefore hard to translate... also this specific dialect is the only 1 in german that calls you "my boy" so if it was not in that harder to translate dialect the joke would not make sence
yes you are allowed to draw swastikas for parody... but you gotta trad carefully with that in germany.... if you do it wrong like that guy did it is definitly fine XD
"Mien Jung" is a northern slang for "Mein Junge" thats why you probably didnt find it, Silvester is the german word for New Years Eve
It means "my boy".
"Plattdeutsch" ..
also Mr Krabs calls spongebob "Mien Jung"
Actually, Plattdeutsch is NOT a slang. It is its own language.
dat geit!
Next time you have a lesson sponsor, see the memes with the teacher and let her explain and teach you at the same time, that would be awesome.
what no! He cant acually educate himself about the things the memes are about to deepen his learning about the stuff he made a channel about!
Fun aside, sometimes I feel like he just doesnt care
@@unnameduser5647or he gives up too easily because he feels like he can't comprehend. I know what you mean tho
That teacher only recorded 30 seconds of his life pretending they are theaching him but they will never see him again
The Bob Ross parody is funny, hadn't seen that before. You are right it is illegal to use the Swastika outside of art and history context. Parody counts as art of course. But depending on how edgy you're trying to be in your art this can be a slippery slope and can get you in trouble with the authorities.
The sketch is making fun of street grafity. You see a swastika sprayed on some stuff occasionally. And it is surprising how often it is painted wrongly. Also calling the guy Bernd Ross is most likely a joke about a high ranking party official from the AfD.
shahak shapira has israeli roots and had a show on tv some years ago... i've seen this video a while ago, but nice to see it become popular now :)
its probably also the fact that he never draws the swastika correctly. therefor, he never "actually" draws a swastika.
"You see a swastika sprayed on some stuff occasionally."
Yeah, on "some stuff" like Jewish gravestones and memorials!
"Some stuff" indeed! Please be more respectful!
Those idiots also spray it on walls...
@@marcgyver677 Where I live I most commonly see it sprayed on these gray boxes, that have something to do with electricity or below bridges and such. Let's not exaggerate it. These idiots who spray these botched swastikas are probably not hardcore Nazis, but stupid teenagers.
As others have said, Silvester = New Year's Eve, but many people misspell it as Sylvester (Stallone) and that's why your translator didn't pick it up.
Mien Jung is no mispelling. It´s in a dialekt fom the north of Germany.
Strange it was hidden on google!
Can confirm this as a „northern light“. 👍

Exactly my first thought!
In case you didn't know already. You actually made it into a German online newspaper, mate 😄 Seems like your video about the suspended tram in Wuppertal caught their attention 😁
The 100km/h thing felt so real - I study in the Netherlands and 100km/h is the speed limit during the day on the motorway there, it always feels so slow when I come right from the German one XD
Slow but relaxed. I love driving in the Netherlands (I live in Germany about one hour from the border ).
@@jennyh4025 Oh yes! Sooo relaxed, so that i falled asleep everytime, i've driven there! And well, the Netherlands are a really small country, but you need always two hours to reach your destination. From one point at any border to the extreme farest point in the same country: 2 hours. From the Border to a point only five Kilometeres further: 2 hours too!
During the day? Is there a different speed at night?
@@CiaraOSullivan1990 yes, 120 at night.
@@CiaraOSullivan1990 This is because of the CO2 pollution. There is less traffic at night, so you can drive faster. Maximum 130 km/h.
Fun fact: The most valuable streets in Monopoly are actually the orange ones. While the blue ones net you more money, the orange ones get landed on so much that they will statistically make you the most money out of all of them over the course of a game.
Also the Green and Red ones
@@grimfistgaming7694I don’t think the green ones are very good actually. You pay the same for building houses as for the blue ones and get less money if someone lands on them. Also, other players don’t pass that often since they are quite far back, so if people have to go back because of jail or the mystery cards (don’t know how they’re called in English) they won’t land on the green ones.
@@GabTheKing
its pretty easy, the top ones are the ones between the jail and the go to jail corner.
with the ones around the free parking zone beeing the best.
that beeing said if there is a heat zone coming right up you can gamble and down trade for some unoptimal ones but when everyone gets a shot on landing on those it might still
be profitable.
also 3 houses on each befor even thinking on going for hotels.
there is nothing fun about this and doubt its e en a fact
@@Orbitalbomb That answer is literally one Google search away. The orange properties are middle of the road in terms of cost, however, because they are 6 and 8 squares away from jail, and 6 and 8 are both the second most likely outcome on a 2d6 roll (7 is the most likely, but that lands you on a community chest) Due to this, the chances of landing on the orange properties is much higher than average (the expected value is 2.5%, as you have to land on one field every roll and there are 40 total fields, all included; however, the orange properties have likelyhoods of 2.8, 2.94, and 3.08%, respectively). Of course, one way to get out of jail is to roll a double, but there's only 6 possible ways of rolling a double on a 2d6, so your chances of doing so is 17ish percent each time, thus you have a pretty good chance of remaining there for three rolls. Other options are paying a 50 dollar fine or using a get out of jail free card, or to fail to roll doubles for three turns. In either of those cases, you continue rolling as normal.
Is it weird, that I want to see more of that German lesson? I guess I would watch the whole thing 😄
I agree. I found myself winding back after I forwarded to skip the advertisement, when I saw that Ryan is shown learning. And I very much enjoyed how much his teacher was laughing - no offense! 😇 And I agree with some of the other comments, that he should watch the memes together with her as a lesson. Would be great for all of us, right? 😆😂
The last video is a German/Israeli comedian Shahak Shapira who does a lot of edgy(ish) comedy (some of it in English, too). Seems like a cool dude
The joke of the last meme is, that he does not even need to worry if it is allowed or not, since he is not able to draw one! :P
However, yes in this case (parody, satire, art,...) it is allowed.
4:09 Also because our german driving test is much harder and longer 😂
As long as youre not GLORIFYING the swastika (or any other nazi symbols/gestures/ideology for that matter) its allowed..
otherwise you could never use it in education or art..
and this is quite obviously satire and therefore art..
So entirely legal.. context of portrayal matters..
And some people believe Germans don't like Nazi-Jokes which I disagree with. I don't like bad Nazi-Jokes. The skit at the end wasn't really funny but wasn't bad neither. So, no complaints from me.
@@hansmeiser32 i didnt find it particularly funny as well but also nothing to be offended about.. unless youre a nazi..lol
"Silvester" is the German name for the 31st of December (New year's eve) ... so, all memes with a reference to Silvester are about New year's eve (or maybe New year).
The meme with the dog was surely referring to the animals being very stressed by the fireworks that are burnt everywhere in Germany.
And 110 is the emergency telephone number of the police in Germany, therefore a German police department using the hashtag #Silvester110 is roughly comparable to an American PD writing #NewYearsEve911
I died a little on the inside when he said that Germans use WeChat
Really enjoyed this video. Good to see you energetic and actually taking German lessons - we'll be along for the ride, even if it's only at 100 kph ;)
it was an ad, he wont take any german classes tho.
"only"
whoever claims that driving at 100 kmh is "slow", "boring" or "tiring" got a clear attention/discipline problem that they just are trying to mask behind talks of "personal freedom" and "personal responsibility" at the expense of countless injured and dead traffic victims every year.
People like that shouldn´t drive at all in the first place, let alone over-engineered PS monsters more fit for the racing track than highways...
"Mien Jung" is a dialect of "Mein Junge", like "me boy" instead of "my boy"
Attaboy!
Learning the language is the key to not guessing so many things wrong.
5:20 In Central Europe, we have a name associated to every day in the calendar. Sylvester day is on 31th of December, the last day of the year (named after Sylvester the pope, who has designated January as the first month of the year. Before that, March was the first month). On that day, fireworks are going off all day everywhere, which is not that good for the dogs.
Finally Ryan is really learning german!🙄😆 ...If you're finally here at the baltic coast , I would care for your hosting here.;)
But so far ... deliver !🤣🙋🏻♂️🤟🏻
6:21 According to the latest IMF figures from October 2023, Germany already passed Japan in nominal GDP and is now the third largest economy in the world (behind USA and China). A major factor in this development is the current weakness of the Japanese Yen.
Silvester means New Years Eve in German
I love that Ryan is on the way to 100k ❤
Deserved. :)
The guy in the last Video was Shahak Shapira, a Jewisch comedian. He makes comedy in German and English.
WeChat is Chinese and barely used outside of it. In Germany we use WhatsApp.
4:03 when you spend 1000 Euros (and more) on taking driving lessons with a certified driving teacher and have a written and an actual driving test with someone, who does nothing but take driving tests, for about 45 minutes each, you should expect quite good driving. I know that many drivers don’t follow all the rules in Germany, but they tend to follow the important rules, because they know the risk of not following (from paying money to killing someone and losing your license forever).
Two technical aspects probably help as well: road signs, that follow the international standard, and regular safety tests for cars.
In German words, "ie" and "ei" are usually reverse of what you think :)
2:42 into the video: it is not misspelled. It is northern dialect. Mien Jung is pronounced "mean yoong".
Silvester is the 31 December. And New Years Day is the 1 January. Silvester is also used for the celebrations and festivities to celebrate new year.
It would be 'Mean Joong" in my part of Northern Germany. There are many different accents of "Plattdütsch'.
@@katpet74 soweit so klar.
To be fair: Low German is not a dialect, it's a separate language. Btw: The person saying Mien Jung is a famous German Advertisement Figure, Käpt'n (Captain) Iglo, wanting you to buy more frozen rectangular fish.
Mien Jung is low German (= northern German) for "my boy" - and he is not a train master, but a fisher (wearing a captain's cap).
5:14 Silvester is referring to New Years' Eve (it is also Saint Silvester's day, who was pope Silvester I back in the 330s; his biography was later modified to justify the "donation of Constantine", the medieval forgery of a decree - allegedly made by emperor Constantine back then - giving the pope sovereignty over Rome), and the meme is referring to the wild fireworks all over Germany at New Years' Eve, spreading panic with all pets. It is also a night where all emergency services and the police are in red alert.
great ad. i like that you showed yourself actually using it and not just say you did use it
Silvester is New Years Eve and the Name of the Cat which hunts Tweety. The Date: 31.12. We call it Silvester. Maybe also named after an Pope, Bishop, Priest or so.

The "Mien Jung" thing is actually Low German but used by all people in the north and means what you found out, but based on usage of that slangword the meaning behind is huge, even more though if you consider that northern folks may take a serious while before will accept you as a friend or build a relationship to foreigners.
You call hin Trainmaster? :-) A man with a Anchor cap XD Thanks for your Videos.
Regarding German drivers: it helps that not everyone needs to drive.

8:45 Yes, the public use of symbols of the Nazis or banned organizations is a criminal offence in Germany. Gestures such as the Hitler salute and specific phrase are also prohibited.
The use and public display is permitted if it is satire or documentary.
Provided that the symbols are used for a critical depiction of the banned organizations, the depiction in movies is permitted after examination and for video games since a few years.

Painting Swastikas is illegal with two exceptions: Art and education.
3:56 - German autobahns are specifically engineered for such high speeds! Transferring this velocity to other countries is not feasible. It's quite amusing to witness someone driving at speeds exceeding 300 km/h in a car in Germany for the 1st time.
Specially engineered? I highly doubt that. I feel our Austrian highways are the same, if not better on some stretches and we are limited to 130 km/ hour (approx. 80 mph).
Designed by the same guys ;-)@@mick-berry5331
Ey, good for you Ryan.
Learning some German with a personal teacher,
since your so interested in our culture and way of life.
Even if it is only the free lessons with his sponsor...🤔
Information, due to the swastika from a German citizen:
It is illegal, and you can be imprisoned for up to 3 years if you draw it. Besides that, due to our history, it is not really amusing to see this, even though it's a meme. But for Germans, given our unstable political situation currently (the increasing prevalence of right-wing populism/extremism, and the presence of the "AfD" in our politics, which is now considered a right-wing extremist political party), it is considered inappropriate.
Seeing these memes is a huge black pill for Germany. But your reactions are gold!
To answer your question, the questionable symbols are legal to use for artistic work (which should include satire like the video), and historical documentation, etc.; its mainly a problem on demonstrations, use by organizations, glorifying/propaganda, and selling flags, or similar items - nonetheless you always run the risk of someone trying to sue you and having to have a judge/trial confirm you are using it in a legal way - which is why you see a lot of media - typical example being video games - avoiding it ... But the guy who made the video cleverly avoids any grey areas by only painting them wrong ^^
"Sylvester" (New Year's Eve) is the celebration at the turn of the year when Germans traditionally set off lots of fireworks.
The pictures is meant that pets had a night like in a war zone by all that firework explosions.
Right, but the guy who created the meme misspelled Silvester. 😂
Mien jung is indeed a misspelling. Correct it would be myn jong for frisian or meen jung for platt.
Spell it like "mean Yoong"😂
Bob Ross is fantastic😂😂😂😂
so you raised the the bar for yourself with the german lessons in understanding german memes (well bad luck the first one used a heavy dialect in the punch line).
Fazit: Not sure if it was already the german lessons taking into account, but you stand your ground much better already (experience might help too).
The 60 dollars seems well spend how fast you have recovered, which i like cause it means more interesting videos about germany from your perspective.
8:05 😂😂😂😂😂 ROFL😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂
Please continue with German on italki!!!
I have to watch an American reacting to German Memes to learn about this Shahak Shapira skit😂. No it’s not illegal to do this.
The law provides exceptions that allow the use of the swastika. It literally states that the use is permitted if it serves "civic education, the defense against unconstitutional efforts, art or science, research or teaching, reporting on current events or history or similar purposes". And a parody is a form of art and protected by the "Freedom of Art" which is part of the German constitution. The Bundesgerichtshof (German Federal Court of Justice, the highest court in Germany) further ruled, that a swastika is legal to use when used as an anti-Nazi symbol ("Freedom of Expression" is also protected by German constitution), e.g. when used in a red circle and dashed out or when displayed as getting destroyed (smashed, hammered, blown up, etc.), which symbols that you are against Nazis and you are free to express that.
Swastikas are just legal in germany if used for educational purposes or in art. But it can be tricky sometimes like with Inglorious Basterds by Tarantino. Swastikas in the movie were fine because it's art but they had to alter the movie posters because the posters are advertisement.
On the 1st January, Japan was hit by an earthquake + tsunami. On the 2nd two planes collided on a runway and while everyone got out of the passenger liner alive, most of the people in the smaller plane died. The smaller plane belonged to the coast guard and was scheduled to deliver supplies to the area hit by the tsunami. So yeah... great start into the year.
Silvester is the 31 December.
"Mien Jung" is from a dialect from the northern region of germany and from men to the sea. And therefor correcty written. It's actually spoken like "min jung" (with a german "u")
Can you do further videos of just you getting taught German? 😁
Min. 2:00 ... the north german lady would probably say something linke "mean young" ... which means "my boy"
Roadblocking should become a crime in Germany. It is unacceptable that everyone who doesn't like something starts blocking roads until they get what they want. This has nothing to do with peaceful protest; instead, companies are being harmed and private individuals are being restricted and coerced in their freedom of movement.
Sylvester = new year's (all the fireworks)
funnily enough, my cat enjoys fireworks, but he also enjoys thunderstorms and he enjoyed the EF1 tornado, so yeah, I think he's crazy. But eh, then again, he's my cat and I love storms and can't help run around in them, so that probably checks out.
The "Mien Jung" thing is a northern German saying, and it's spelled correctly. It's Plattdeutsch, and you would pronounce it sth like "Mean Yoong". Hope that helps 👍
the chatgroup-stuff with parents who need to show their babies all the times is so true for me. i leave or mute. i can understand the joy of fresh parents, but it's so annoying to get bothered with it all time.
Northerners have a reputation for being as cold as the weather up there. Being called "Mien Jung" (you'd probably spell it "mean yung") is almost like an adoption.
Farmer subsidies are a pretty hot topic at the moment: On one hand, the current gov't wants everything to be as environment-friendly as possible but then, they also want to abolish those old subsidies, some of which were introduced before WW1 (yes, one).
Silvester is New Year's Eve. Sylvester as a name is pretty uncommon here, that's why many people misspell it.
AfD is a very controversial right-wing party - closest thing is the US would be the MAGA/QAnon portion of the Republicans.
The road blocking meme is about those farmer protests vs. "Letzte Generation", the latter being another controversial group that wants to direct attention towards climate change. While the intentions of those road blocking kids might be honorable, they recruit and brainwash members like cults do. That part at least can be compared to Jehova's Witnesses or Scientology.
Drawing a swastika is illegal, unless for parody or in historical context. The latter must not "glorify" the 3rd Reich, however.
Correction on the swastika part:
It’s allowed for art (including, theater, movies, satire and parody) and in historical context.
@jennyh4025 You're right, but then the "must not glorify"-catch applies, too. Still, there are forms of art outside of parody/satire that do not glorify the 3rd Reich, that I forgot about. My fault.
@@The_Mole together we get pretty much all (relevant) aspects 😉
Are the AfD extremists or is it just the media calling anyone they don't like one? I heard too many media outlets call wolf.
the first one isn't misspelled it is northern dialect and written that way, because of that also it is closer to how you would pronounce it in the dialect
The thing with the agricultural subsidies is: The government plans/planned to get rid of the reduced tax rate for agriculturally used diesel fuel. This would mean a liter would not have a 21,5 ct. rebate anymore. This is the reason why our farmers are protesting the last weeks with road blocks an such.
The huge discussion about this is: climate protesters that started glueing themselves to the roads last year were incarcerated, prosecuted and, in some parts of the country, preemptively put on house arrest. The farmers have extended their demonstrations without permit for, in some cases, two days. The unloaded heaps of manure onto main roads. A few days ago, they tried to block and force entry to a ferry transporting our secretary of commerce, trying to 'talk' to him (btw.: his ministry is not the one abolishing the subsidies. It's jus because he's from the Green party.). For the 08.01., a concerted efford to block on- and offramps of parts of the Autobahn has been announced.
And all that because, on average, an agricultural operation stands to loose 3000 Euro per year. As a non-agriculturally active person, I'd say if you are dependent on a 3k handout by the state to not loose your livelyhood, something else is massively wrong with your operation.
"It does help that your roads are smooth."
Hehe, cute idea.
Giving some unasked context wherever i think is needed.
2:00 The train man actually is a sailor. Think of Mr.Krabs calling for "me boy Spongebob" and youll get it. Accent is strong in coast regions, hence misspelling.
5:18 Sylvester (actually Silvester) meaning 12/31. Private fireworks and firecrackers will be blown all day long and ofc at midnight. Dogs / Pets / Animals in general hate it.
7:40 Close enough, germans use WhatsApp mostly but insta dms are becoming a thing for chat as well. Or Snapchat.
8:15 Yes. Its hilarious. No German will publicly say so, but thats because we go into the "basement for laughing". And the history overshadows the laugh.
8:50 Jein. Its right that its illegal. For any form of art, such as parody, its fine to use it. It was drawn wrong again btw.
8:46: It is allowed for art and education. And in this case, parody is considered art.
6:28 Actually, Germany surpassed Japan in october 2023 😊
As others have pointed out, "Silvester" means *New Year's Eve* .
Technically it could be Sylvester in English, too. Why? Because it's a reference to a pope who died on December 31st and is celebrated as saint- however the name became synonymous with the day, whether you're catholic or not.
If I'm informed correctly, the naming only even happend in the 16th century, so a time when there would've been some turmoil around religion . This is remarkable, as the day is called Silvester even in mainly Protestant regions. the answer as to why the term isn't used in English may lie somewhere there, too😅
So there's a whole history lesson, behind why it's called Silvester and where - and why it's called S. in those areas and not in others, even if it appears illogical considering the main denomination😂
That driving picture is wrong btw. We in Germany yawn while driving at 200km/h. Last week I drove back home from Berlin. 330km (205m) in almost 2h:20m. 😀
Hey :)
Happy new 2024
Mien Jung is a dialect. It has something like "my small Boy".
2:07
it is pronounced like "m-e-a-n y-o-u-n-g" or " meen young" means something like "my boy" or "my son"
hope that helps^^
oh and there was no letter forgotten, it is some kind of northern germany dialect, which you sometimes can hear at the west-coast and east coast spoken by the elder people. most of the younger generations can´t even understand anymore, what the elder people say. it is called "platt-deutch".
Funny on that: The same protesters blocking the roads to make noise for climate protection did block an airport as well..
But the almost daily blocking of streets in the rush hour get's way more medial attention (as a lot more people are annoyed by it).
But it's funny, that people are really pissed by protesters wanting to help to save the climate and not by the farmers blocking the roads, because they now have to pay taxes on their fuel... (yes, that's all the farmer memes about. The farmers where subsided by not paying any taxes on their Diesel.
5:17 They once again misspelled "Silvester“. The name is written with a y, but the festivity is written with an i. That’s probably why it didn’t get translated. Silvester is New Year’s Eve.^^
Mien (me with an "n" at the end) and Jung: young translated to english, relatively similar pronunciation, but instead of speak the "ou" as "ah" you are pronounce it as "u", so it ist similar to "me(n) yung" (Took the "Y" because it is pronounced, in a word, most of the time similar to a "J" ). "Norddeutsch" is a dialect form of Germany. German itself is hard enough, getting all the dialects would be nearly impossible if you don't really need it, for example if you stay in Germany or will be staying for a long, long time :D
Mien Jung is a north German dialect. It is written correctly. It means something like "my friend" or "buddy".
5:15 New Year's Eve is called Silvester in Germany because it's also the death day of Pope Silvester (December 31st 335). Which also makes it the name-day of all people called Silvester.
4:10 Nah mate, our roads are shit too. But we spend loads of money (think it's around 2-3k Euros now) on driving lessons before being allowed to take the test. Also, speed doesn't automatically mean reckless driving. It's about where and when you drive fast. Another point that helps is that you're only allowed to overtake from the left, so (most) people actually return to the right lane after overtaking if available.
We older people are a little spoiled because we still know the condition of the roads when Germany built its current road network and everything was still fresh. The years I spent in the USA and other countries have brought some things into perspective in this regard. Our roads are not optimal, but in fact there are few countries in the world that have a better overall condition. Or in other words, "shit" is not a constant, but a range.
Weirdly satisfying watching you learn German with her
As a side note, i don't know if that was ever mentioned here or not, but: German dialects can vary MASSIVELY across Germany and some Germans have trouble understanding all of them. Depending on how old a particular Person is, the more "pure" these dialects are. Nowadays though, "Hochdeutsch", High German is watering down these older Dialects more and more, and less and less people are speaking them. Which is a bit of a shame. So if you search for translations for certain sayings, try to the spelling exactly to get the best results. But don't expect everything to be translatable through google.
Just an FYI the "Mien Jung" isn't misspelled, it's basically how a northern german would say "Mein Junge"
Woa! It's not a train master, the north German captain who says "mien Jung" (mean joong, pronounced). He shows to be a captain of a boat! North Germany is coast with fish and ships 😂
in germany there was a big demonstration, in which the farmers blocked almost every part of the Autobahn

It is Low German, which isn't a dialect, but a language. Which btw. is closer related to English than to High German:

It‘s not generally illegal to draw the Swastika in Germany. It always depends on the context / what it stands for.
If it’s obviously meant to be the buddhist/jainist/hinduist/(…) lucky symbol, it‘s perfectly fine. Also if it‘s for documentary reasons or art projects.
Right now, I’m looking at Art Spiegelman‘s ingenious "Mouse" in my bookshelf. Just like the English original, the German translation does have the Swastika on its cover. That‘s not illegal, because it‘s not meant to praise the Shoah, WW2, Hitler or something like that.
So what this guy did in the hilarious Bob Ross meme, was most likely not illegal - even if he had "managed" to draw the Swastika correctly 😉
The farmers are protesting because new requirements are issued every year, but the subsidies are continually being reduced. The government needs to save money so they recently cancelled the tax refund for diesel fuel. In Germany there are 47cent per litre (=1,95$/gal) tax on diesel fuel which is supposed to finance road construction. Since most diesel fuel by farms is used in the fields farmers could get a refund of 21cent (=0,87$/gal) and the government announced to cancel that. For the majority of farmers, mostly smaller family farms, that was the last straw and they started a campaign 'enough is enough'.
Moin, mien Jung!
Mien Jung is not misspelled, it is written in a dialect call plattdeutsch. Mien means mein which is my and Jung is Junge. We "swallow" the last letter and don't speak it.
That's all. And for a learner in german, don't dive into our dialects. We have some that are nearly undecipherable for other germans, too. And also, especially in the north we have different dialects that are literally deemed as unofficial different languages. Frisian comes to mind. Hope that helps :)
The Bob Ross Meme guy is Shahak Shapira, a jewish german (born in Israel) comedian btw.
Mien Jung isn't misspelled, Its my boy on "low german" while Mein Junge is my boy on "high german"
'Mien Jung' isn't misspelled. It is right in that way. It is something like 'my son' in a German dialect.
