Nagbake ako nito kahapon but using oil instead of butter(don't have butter on hand) and muscovado sugar (reduced amount) instead of brown sugar, and increased amount of white sugar. A bit sweet but Still delicious! I also baked some double chocolate cookies by adding cocoa powder and choco bits, didn't spread that much. Glad that I don't have to chill the dough first! My children loved it! Thanks Chef!

Tried out this recipe yesterday and here are a few notes: 1. We made two batches of these, the first batch, we baked them on the spot and the other one, I let them sit in the freezer overnight. If you bake them the same day, it's a bit too sweet even if you cool them for 40 minutes. But if you want a chewy cookie, then bake them if you're impatient. Lol. 2. Overnight cookies taste waaaaaaaay better! I swear to God. Also, it's also okay to use bread flour. The cookie taste? Perfect! The overwhelming sweetness gets neutralized and you can pair it up with coffee and milk. Thank you Chef RV! You're the best!

1/2 cup salted butter (see note)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 whole egg
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
Note: If using unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon iodized salt into the flour mixture
