Thank you all for you lovely words and well wishes. :-) I found it hard to sleep whilst in hospital and I would wake up in the middle of the night and read all your lovely comments. Thank you.
So glad you are back home and healing. "There's no place like home," said Dorothy. You look wonderful.. I can tell Louise is happier that you're home, too.
Glad to hear you're on the mend! You and Louise are the sweetest pair of humans on RUclips and very blessed to have each other. Take care and enjoy that grandbaby! Thanks for another great video!
Thank you for showing us step by step how to paint. But especially for giving reasons for why you chose to use certain techniques. It's one thing to learn by copying an accomplished artist, but it's even better when you impart understanding to the process. That's what makes your videos so helpful.
You have a special talent Louise. Not only as an artist but also great teaching ability. I've been soaking up your techniques and tips for about 6 weeks. Today I tried painting 3 leaves using triadic colours following one of your videos from a few years ago. I am quite pleased with the result. I'm new to watercolour and totally agree with all your tips regarding quality materials and just having a go! Thank you for inspiring so many souls. Blessings 🙌
I'm SO glad to hear your husband is doing better! Prayers for his continued healing my friend. We LOVE your tutorials here. Of all the watercolor videos and teachers I've learned from in my career....I honestly glean more from your teaching every single time. God bless!
My mom grew purple irises when I was a kid. I just lost her last month and it was wonderful to see you painting them. She would have loved this piece. Beautiful work as always.
You are so sweet. I love watching and learning from you. But your bloopers are the best. So now you and Dom have a new big fan in your corner. Wishing you all the best and love.
I love your videos and your soft, mellifluous voice and humorous outtakes. You are a remarkable artist and teacher. I’m happy your husband is feeling well. Cheers from Maryland, USA.
So glad your husband is doing better. Love your iris, I have them all over my property and have been wanting to paint them. It is so true we will never stop learning in watercolor, I am a beginner and LOVE the way you teach. Thank you so much Louise
Louise, thank you for sharing your gift with us and helping us to hopefully achieve something even a tiny bit as lovely as your work. I switched to watercolour after l fractured my shoulder and found my oil painting demanded too much pressure on my arm, l also developed a tremor (now gone), and watercolour gave me a freedom to just experiment and take away the fear I’d never paint again. And l found my medium! You’re helping me to become the artist I really want to be. Thank you so much❤️
Absolutely stunning. I look forward to following the tutorial. I love painting irises as they are so intricate and varied in petal shapes and colors. Peace, love and good health to you and Dom.
I am learning so much from you! Thank you and please know all rhe hard work you put into the videos and paintings do not go unnoticed! My first attempt at watercolor was botanical and I gave up because they were terrible. Now I paint beautiful flowers thanks to you and your encouraging words keep me going when I become critical about my work. You are amazing!
I really love your painting lessons : I learn a lot, I like the large size of your watercolor painting and the minimum of the colors you use : I really am not able to paint on such large paper ! And also your lasts words are extremely funny!! Thank you for all.
Thank you Louise for sharing your wonderful talents and wisdom. I took up watercolors over 30 years ago with a couple of classes at a local Art League in Alexandria, Va. After some life changes and a move back to my hometown, I dug out my brushes and paints which had been in storage for the past 20 years. At age 70, I've had to learn things all over again and have been struggling with this difficult medium. But your words of encouragement and you amazing demonstrations have given me a new positive outlook to keep on trying. I no longer view each failure as a point of frustration, but instead see it as a valuable learning experience. All the best to you and yours.
Hi Larry cheers from Western Australia 🤗 I hope you are still continuing with your watercolours...now tell me 'who says you are a failure' are you comparing yourself/work to others? Or are others telling you that? You have to stop critiquing your own work. People dont paint failures they just paint different things, different ways/styles to others. Enjoy what you do. Dont continue to paint people if you're not happy, paint animals, birds, landscapes or whatever...try different subjects. Take your own photos and paint from them, dont try painting something someone has already done because then you will compare...have fun, it doesnt matter how many courses you do (Louise is self taught) fun is the key word. Try different mediums if you find w/colours to difficult or demanding...do some sketches, try a bit of fluid art thats fun, messy but fun. Not sure where Va is..maybe Vancouver? You must have stunning country around there...Im jealous...have a great day🥰👍
thank you for this tutorial i keep rewatching it as well as the other ones before i get started to get as much as background to glazing to prepapre my materials. Thank you for making it free💗
Your work is so inspiring and your encouragement makes me think all things are possible....even for me. Also, It was so good to see Dom up and about. I enjoy his antics in the boopers.

I always “snort-laugh” at your bloopers, they kill me every time 🤣🤣🤣 Wiping tears away....what beautiful beautiful work, I love to see that you’re still human like the rest of us!! Hahahah
You two are sooo cute. I just wanted to say I was about to give up watercolor, but your stunning works inspired me to continue. I am still far from where I want to be, but I am practicing. Thank you for the inspiration.
