    I am a new sub to your channel and I have been enjoying your painting tips and tricks enormously. I am fairly new to WC painting and long to do it well. I work mainly with acrylics and I am an abstract artist. But I want to get better at realism and I thought beginning with flower painting in WC might be something to give me some good practice at mixing, etc. Thank you so much for all of your videos. I find them informative, easy to follow, and with wonderful detail and excellent explanations of your techniques. I love your aesthetic! Bless xo

    This was super helpful, especially how you came up with the shadow color for the pink part of the rose. I have always struggled on what color to use for dark /shadowy red.,now I know 😉. Thank you!

    Really helpful tips Louise. I really struggle to see the colour that’s created because I know the colours that are used so I still them. Even watching you I was thinking oh that’s too blue or that’s too yellow but when it was finished it looked beautiful. I just can’t get past the separate colours to see the blend. I’m not sure if I’m making any sense 😂

    How do you keep the Ultramarine Blue from separating out in your mixes when you apply it?

    When you say “I take the paint off my brush” does that mean you dip it in your water or just wipe the brush off on your cloth?

      I usually give it a quick dip in the water container and a quick wipe on the cloth- it takes about a second.

    Hi Louise,
    I’m wondering how you remove the paper tape from your gator board after cutting the painting off. I tried it for the first time and the tape stuck quite a bit 😳🙏

      Hi Melissa, I soak my gator board in the bath for about ten minutes. It floats so I put the side with the tape on it facing the water. It comes off easily after a quick soak.

      @@LouiseDeMasi thanks for your response Louise. I wonder if my Gator board is different to yours the one I have is coated in a cardboard/paper coating where as it appears that yours is covered with plastic. I wonder if it would be okay to soak mine?

      @@Lissajayne75 I'm not sure. If you put paper on the board when it's wet and the surface is ok with that maybe try wetting it with a spray bottle and scraping it off with something.
