Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on Print on Demand on Amazon vs. Offset Printing helpful. The examples will already reflect KDP's upcoming price changes that are planned for mid June. Be sure to find me over on Instagram & TikTok, so we can connect there as well!
Thank you for this information that you took the time to gather. I have already self-published one book, using an off-set printer. If I ever publish another book, it will be a P.O.D. I was fortunate that I had a niche market, but my extra room had boxes of books for several years, and I had to take the time to ship them to purchasers. Never again. You have made a very clear comparison between the options.
Thank you so, so much for sharing your experience and for your kind words, Deborah!
I really appreciate you covering this topic!!
I’ve struggled with accepting the hardback limitations of POD, but as a new author, offset is quite intimidating.
I think I will move forward with POD and if this first book just takes off, I can always do an exclusive/special addition hardback run through IAPCs offset printing service.
It sounds like you've got a fantastic plan, Lindey!
This is exactly where I'm at! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I also had been wondering about a Kickstarter campaign--I am so happy to cross that off my list and instead I purchased your 30-Day Launch Kit. Just so you know, I've watched 20 of your videos so far and I transcribe them into Word while I'm listening. I refer back to them ALL THE TIME. I am a HUGE fan of yours!
I'm so, so happy to hear this, Laura! And I love that you have already watched 20 of my videos! I hope the other ones will be just has helpful! Have a beautiful launch!
Thank you, you clearly explain what I am trying to understand. I am new to it all.
You're so, so very welcome, Laurie!!
Hi Eevi, I just came across your video and I can’t thank you enough for your great advice. Looking forward to following you and learn how to get started… I don’t have a clue… I know in my heart I’m going to self publish a book I understand I’m better off publishing on demand but don’t know how to start. My journey begins! 😀
That is so, so wonderful to hear! I hope my videos will be helpful along the way, Lilian!
Thanks Eevi for that information. I have been trying to decide which is the better option for me. I think now POD is the better option. I was leaning that way anyway but the monetary table has really pointed out the advantages of POD. Many thanks for your time and effort. Have a beautiful day.
I'm so happy to hear this helped with your decision!
Thank you Eevi, this was very helpful I am just in the beginning stages myself creating a coloring book co.
You are so, so welcome, Caroline!
Thank you so much for this information. I am in the beginning stages of my research for my book and I appreciate and value your insight.
You're so, so welcome, Jacqueline!

I'm so, so happy to hear this!!
Thank you! I’ve been working on making this decision and this really helps!
I'm so happy to hear this helped, Kelly!
excellent break-down! thank you!!
You're so, so welcome!
This was very helpful! Many thanks.
Hearing this makes me so happy!
Thank you! Do you have a video on the how-to of a kickstarter campaign?
You're so welcome, Cara. Since I mostly share about Print-on-Demand, I do not have any kickstarter-related videos.
Eevi thank you for all your videos. They have been so helpful! Who do you recommend to go to
for offset printing?
Thank you for sharing this. Very useful. One question: in the offset printing calculations, wouldn't the customer pay for the shipping?
I'm so happy to hear you've found this helpful! Yes, we can definitely set it up that way. Just keep in mind that adding shipping might influence buyers' decisions.
Thank you!
You're so, so welcome, Bianca!
Great info Eevi!! Thank you! So with all your books do you us POD only?
You're so welcome, Pam! Yes, I use POD with my own books
Thanks for this. How about publishers. How do we get a publisher to want our book?
You're so very welcome! Nowadays, having a large following already seems to do the trick. Keep it at! Our books can be successful even without a publisher behind us!
I see so many bad reviews on Amazon for children's books because there were upside down pages or the book just wasn't printed correctly as well as poor paper and binding quality. Has this been your experience with p.o.d.? I'm trying to build a brand with my first book because I plan to write more so I was leaning toward offset but I know the shipping will be a pain if I start selling a lot of books.
BTW I'm a new subscriber.
Hi Kathy! For every negative experience, there are usually hundreds (if not thousands) of positive ones. It's just that oftentimes, people are more prone to speak up about what didn't go well, while those who had a great experience do not. I so hope this helps, Kathy!
question for you, Eevi: I read on a post on FB that if you use offset printing overseas, the printing company can reproduce or use the content without your permission. Is that true? Have you heard of such a thing? It sounds scary, and I'm not sure if I should believe it or no. Thanks!
lol anyone can use it without your permission in any country. lol
Print on demand is trash. And no one does offset printing anymore. lol Are there ANY real book printers today? I have looked in literally every nation in the world! ..

Unfortunately, something like this can always happen - in any industry, really. I believe that's why it is really important to only work with a reputable printer. So doing our research beforehand is crucial.
Have you done offset printing for any of your books?@@EeviJones
