Okay but like, aside from "dad died, I'm king now", I view the period of Mists of Pandaria as one of the really crucial periods of Anduin's character development (doesn't hurt that's where he met and befriended Wrathion tbh), so the use of the Erhu feels like it's drawing that up into now and acknowledging its importance and I just. This is beautiful and gives me many many feelings about my boy.
Imagine a final battle for Azeroth against some final ultimate baddie after Anduin has sacrificed himself in some giant and epic way. A battle with all of the Alliance and all of the Horde. And right before the charge of the people of Azeroth, you've got one of the main characters yell out "For Anduin, and for Azeroth!" And the battle begins playing Anduin's theme.
