Genn is such a well developed character. He starts out relatively indifferent to other kingdoms, insecurity made manifest by trying to be his father rather than his own man, thinking that accepting help was weakness and being verbally abrasive. Yes, he was harsh on Anduin initially but once Anduin expresses that he's scared of being king, Genn realizes what needs to be done. He explains to Anduin that he only needs to be inspired by his father to always try his best. In this moment we see Genn rise above his flaws that I listed earlier. Not going to follow the Lich Queen, I'm going back to the Alliance.
Genn: "My boy, you don't need to see this." My character who has been around since Vanilla, watching Andiun grow up: "Yes he does. We can no longer protect him. He is the King now."

@@galten7361 Forgive me for answering almost a year later, but I have to agree with you! In my opinion Genn is one of the most 3 dimensional characters I've seen in the game so far. He will go and do what's right but what he is dealing with personally can also get in the way. So he sometimes says or does things that were not the best. He's willing to stand by the king but also has his own opinions and doesn't seem to be just waiting around for orders. He's got a lot of good in him but there are demons hiding as well. I've learned and become pretty invested in his story ever since Legion dropped. I've always gotta wonder what's coming next.
Keydiam as a Horde, I agree wholeheartedly. After the events at Teldrassil, I like him more than Sylvanas (and Sylvanas was a favorite of mine since WC3)
My father taught me many things; strength, devotion, courage, but the most important thing he taught me was sacrifice.
By Milestone the greatest Alliance cinematic ever imo
Same
Genn: "My boy, you don't need to see this."
My character who has been around since Vanilla, watching Andiun grow up: "Yes he does. We can no longer protect him. He is the King now."
This scene deserves a acadamy award.
"what am i supposed to do now?"
"Farm ap you noob"
Man, i'm really interested in how anduins role during wow plays out, and i also love how genn became so important - well, i like him mostly for ruining sylvanas plans over and over again, but i think he will be a very good advisor for anduin.
Like Vol'jin was for Garrosh?
Genn is more or less one of the only faction leaders who isn't garbage.
"The boy-king serves at the master's table, three lies will he offer you..."
1:22
My king, i will follow you to whatever end.
I came her after watching the "Battle for Azeroth" cinematic. At this point I can say: Anduin Wrynn is the best character in WoW.
Keydiam as a Horde, I agree wholeheartedly. After the events at Teldrassil, I like him more than Sylvanas (and Sylvanas was a favorite of mine since WC3)
@@NinjaFlibble Illidan is the Best he sacrifed everyting to safe Azeroth !!!!
Manduin. the day old WoW died and a new era of manliness was born.
My father taught me many things; strength, devotion, courage, but the most important thing he taught me was sacrifice. Without his sacrifice, the Alliance wouldn't have survived and our world wouldn't have been saved. His actions will echo throughout the ages and his roar will strike fear into our greatest adversaries.
Wait wait wait one aecond
How is there another ME
Mist of Pandaria Ending Cinematic
Anduin: Father, what are you doing?
Varian: What a king, must do.
7.2 Cinematic
Anduin: What am I supposed to do now?
Varian: What a king, must do.
That music buildup at 2:22 gave me the Alliance pride I lost long ago when I had to stop playing.
He kneeled an Anduin, and arose a Manduin
"What a king must do!"
Proceeds to loot Varian
I’m proud of my King. For the Alliance!
Legion had the very best story of all expansions
2:39: Varian: "You got the look of a strong man, now. I'm glad. I can go knowing it's OK... to leave the rest to you now."

im not sure but i think the sword splits, so that should be both of them. all we need now if for him to go full rage split the sword and go 1 on 1 with the big guy in the next raid.
Martin Topliss Where did the other sword go?
Dear Blizzard: Just confirm that Anduin just class changed to Paladin. You ain't fooling anyone anymore. He wears full plate armor, has a TWO-HANDED Sword (Something Priests can't use) and likely got some serious melee skills now. You might as well.
The timing of that vocal song when anduin leaves his thoughts.
The flute when Anduin walks in.. omg :'(
Last words of his father... "Son... bubble early". -dies
This cinematic actually brought tears to my eyes and rivals the Wrathgate in my mind. Amazing job Blizzard.
Soundtrack nailed it!
I saw this boy grow up to be a king. My how time passes.
Very nice cinematic! Probably one of my favorites! I am really liking Anduin a whole lot now!
THIS FEELINGS EVERYTIME AFTER NEARLY 2 YEARS. BROKE MY HEART!
I like how female singing is smoothly switching to male chorus when Varian speeks.
This is my favorite scene from Legion. It’s when we see Anduin die and Mandiun born.
Gods, the cinematics were strong then!
I love this Cinematic. It like watching the part in Lion King where Simba talks to his father in the clouds. Those same feels all over again.
Whoever their composer is - makes this an amazing cutscene. Awesome stuff seeing this boy turn into a man.
Anduin: " What am I supposed to do now? "
Varian: " What a king must do. "
Anduin: " I WILL SPEAK WITH YOUR WARCHIEF! "
Just saw this for the first time in game and it gave me goosebumps. Good Job blizzard. Anduin has had the best character development in the game. It feels very much like the the fabled Heros Journey and I can't wait to see him become the king he is destined to be!
Man, the quality of the Legion cinematics is so much better than the Shadowlands cinematics
Honestly, this is one of my favorite cinematic from the whole game. It is powerful in its message and music
When that sword glows I get chills every time. Play horde until wotlk then switched to alliance until I quite playing in WoD my heart still has the alliance in it
Velen and Genn Greymane: two old advisors who have each lost their son to evil. Anduin: a young man who has just lost his father because of said evils. These three are an interesting character dynamic now, and hopefully they'll continue to be so.
Anduin is now He-Manduin
BY THE POWER OF GRAYMANE!! I mean.. GRAYSKULL!!
WoW's best cinematic ever imo, and also where lore died. After Legion, lore went south only :(
that look at the end, where you see an echo of Varian. the little lion has earned his mane.
Peak wow moment..
