well, it's been 7 or so years since evn cataclysm, even if time in wow advanced at the same rate as we do (i believe it's faster even, but don't quote me on it.) if we assume varian was say 11 at cataclysm(actually, he'd probably be like 14 at that point, so i figure he's something along the lines of 20-21 yrs old now.
Genn just looks so proud of Anduin. Can't help but feel like he sees a little bit of Liam in him.

Just one thing I want to add: Velen has been a mentor to Anduin since before Cataclysm, and Velen lost his son in Legion. So both of Anduin's top advisors are fathers that have lost their sons, while Anduin is a son that lost his father.
Liam is Genn's son right? Haven't done the Worgen intro thing in ages.
That would make sense in a way and Genn does help Anduin when he can to help him learn how to be a king. In a sense, he didn't teach Varian or aid him as much from what I've looked up.

This joke could be actually true :D as it is the blood of Azeroth which is full of arcane energies, arcane being the most addictive substance next to fel in the Warcraft universe. When Anduin touches the piece of it he looks pretty high or almost as halucinated and then he is kinda aggressive...

Remember when it first looked like BfA was going to be a grey on grey resource war filled with nuance and intrigue? I miss those days.
I like how Anduin waits for Genn's approval to take the item.He seems to completely trust him and heavily considering his advices.
Not like that's a good thing lol.
Genn was varian's right hand man and would sacrifice everything for gilneas and by proxy the alliance. He's an old man who learned from his mistake betraying the alliance and would never do so again. While Velen taught Anduin how to be a priest its very clearly Genn was his mentor after Varian's death when it came to leading the alliance.
He's also a hot head who still holds a grudge.
Probably just checking to make sure it's not a trap. Shaw was captured and replaced by a dreadlord who proceeded to give false information that lead to the debacle on the Broken Shore.
As it is, I still really hope Genn dies. Dude has been a douchebag since the 2nd war, effectively locked out Lordaeron citizens trying to escape becoming undead in the 3rd war. And finally he's literally the dude who re-ignited the coming war by allowing his thirst for vengeance to lead to him attack a Forsaken fleet from behind, which basically lead to him attacking the Warchief of the Horde.
Genn did nothing wrong? He attacked Sylvanas because he thought that the horde betrayed the alliance on the broken shore, when it was obvious that it wasnt the case. So with the Legion threat in the doorstep Genn thought it would be a great idea to attack the hordes warchief in Stormheim. he didnt have a single clue as to Sylvanas plans, cus her plans were actually "revealed" after she left Helheim where Genn never was.
So to make it more clear. It was Genn that forced Sylvanas to go to War, because hes an old retarded wolf that holds a grudge and doesnt care about the greater good. that character needs to DIE yesterday.

The Alliance gets a rousing speech at the monument to a beloved fallen king.
The Horde gets a quite and awkward lunch and two of them don't actually need to eat....i think.
So.....this is off to a great start.

Vanilla is almost never used as derogatory in most games-it's simply the standard gamer speak for the original released content- so basically it's just version 1 before expansions or mods in any game

You know a character is developed amazingly when they are absolutely hated at first like Anduin was but now everyone loves him. The only character I can think of that was developed this nicely was Ashoka Tano in Star Wars. Everyone thought she was an annoying brat at first but now she’s one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise.

Genn lost a son, and Anduin lost a father. Now they have found each other..and gained a new father and son. Very beautifully done.
K. T. Actually in the book Genn tells Anduin that he considers him like a son. But Anduin rejects the idea telling him that he can't ever replace his father, but he appreciates his wisdom.

I love the Alliance, ever since I played as the Humans in WarCraft 2 (plus Blue is my fav color). But I feel like its time we have someone else as leader of the faction, its time for other characters to take command and make decisions.
Anduin sure does look very similar to "good" Arthas (berfore he became evil, or Lich King, or whatever). Coming from a Wc3 player. (Haven't played WoW, but have played Wc3).

Notice the difference? Auduin is a leader, Sylvanas is a warlord. One is beloved by their people, the other rules over them with an iron fist. One has the love of their people and their allies, the other is simply feared and 'respected' by them.
The dark lady is no Warcheif! Sourfang is the rightful, honorable choice.
Anduin is the only real faction leader out of the two.

Ok so the end of this next expansion is Alliance and Horde forced to work together to fight some the void. In doing so every piece of Azeroth's life force they had had mined will have to be put back.
that's what I think too, I also think that the title of the next expansion has little to do with the battle between horde and alliance, but more with the fact that azeroth itself is actually dying and both horde and alliance have to fight to keep her alive.
1:55 it seems like as soon as he holds the Azerite he is overcome by something, as well as the sound of a faint whisper. Could the old gods be connected to the Azerite? Or could it be Azeroth speaking through it? This next expansion will be a wonderful lore bit either way.
Edit: With the Azerite source so close to C’thun, it could be something similar to the Saronite of Yogg’Saron.
And then it only showed up on two islands and not the rest of the planet.
