Putting in Alabama this year just wouldn’t be fair. They may be a better team than SMU but the problem is, they didn’t play like it against Vanderbilt and Oklahoma who btw, barely made a bowl game. It would be unfair to the team that came to play week in and week out and actually beat the teams they were supposed to. Letting Alabama in would basically disvalue the point of games. “Oh you didn’t perform well against two 6-6 teams, well thats okay because you are Alabama and we know your better so those games don’t matter” I don’t care if Indiana gets blown out, they beat the teams 6-6 teams on their schedule. Putting Alabama in would just be disvaluzeing the regular season and it isn’t good for the sport.
Commentators made a good point. They mentioned how that last spot came down between bama and smu and they was asking why Indiana wasn’t also in that conversation
Because Indy went 11-1 and are a better and more consistent team then Saban-less Bama. Bama had a team that could have beat anyone, but they could have also lost to anyone just as often because nobody knew what version of the team they would get.

UCLA who fired it’s OC and finished 5-7 in the mid 10 conference. 4.) Charlotte who also fired its coach (I’m sensing a pattern here) who finished… you guessed it 5-7 in the American. 5.) Purdue… the worst power 4 team in America who finished 1-11 on the year. The one regular season loss was 38-15 to Ohio State and anyone who watched that game will tell you there was never any doubt Ohio State was going to win. Just admit it. Indiana was a media darling because they we’re different. Nobody actually thought they were a legit contender for this thing. Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, heck even Miami all deserved it over Indy. No offense. I like Indy personally. They just didn’t deserve it.
And Georgia beat Kentucky who was 1-7 in the sec 13-12. Georgia was only up 31-21 in 3rd quarter vs umass a 2-10 team. And also lost to 2 teams not in the playoff. Georgia barely beat Texas who's best win was vs Michigan a horrible offense this year.
We're judged by our worst performances during the qualifying rounds to get into the main event. Bama screwed up in the qualifying phase (regular season). It happens. They does not has no one to blame but themselves.
The travis hunter/jeanty analogy is funny, seeing as how Colorado also played ass competition. I guess the best is just whoever we want it to be huh? If the big ten is dog shit, who is good exactly? And if all other conferences are lower tier, why did big a 12 school nearly sweep the SEC immediately upon joining?
It wasnt that bad dude how many championship and playoff games have been massive blowouts by teams that appeared to belong. Oklahoma whipped Alabama a lot worse than that.
As someone who watched this game, Indiana was an absolute embarrassment to the sport of college football. So many plays in this game could have been avoided if they had coverage. Notre Dame read them like a book and they deserved the win. Congrats to Indiana for a good season at least.

Bro I can understand the argument, but even if we utilized the BCS ranking system, Indiana would've gone into the CFP lmao I understand you wanted Alabama to get in, but your beef is with SMU.
Alabama should had been in this championship. The two teams in the championship will 100% be SEC teams. Watch and see! SEC is the strongest conference.
Eh, we have had quite many semi-final (1st rnd) games that were lopsided blowouts. Not really a huge deal. I am more interested in how these teams handle the passage of time and attrition as each round passes. Which team could possibly show up and which one doesn't with how there isn't a CLEAR CUT favorite to win the title.
BIG BAD SEC until Texas comes along and everybody says it’s a cupcake conference . Every conference only has a couple of good teams if that’s the case ,

According to all official data the SEC is an NFL caliber conference. Indiana is a glorified bad high school football team.
Notre Dame is Indiana too lol
lol just a little better . Notre dame will be Indiana when they play Georgia tho
@@jetcloner3033fr😂
@@jetcloner3033it'll be decided by less than 7 points, close game.
They lost 1 game and Alabama lost 3.
Matt, if you just put in the teams that you think are the best without regard to who deserves it, then you make the 3 months of the college football regular season games just meaningless exhibition games. That sucks. We don't want that. We want the exciting regular season games to really matter.
Regardless of what happen a 3 loss team shouldn’t be in the playoffs
Bro I can understand the argument, but even if we utilized the BCS ranking system, Indiana would've gone into the CFP lmao
I understand you wanted Alabama to get in, but your beef is with SMU.

You think Indiana looks bad I remember a certain team getting blown out by a .500 Oklahoma
I was preparing myself for an SEC bias rant before the I watched the video.
Alabama should had been in this championship. The two teams in the championship will 100% be SEC teams. Watch and see! SEC is the strongest conference.
Only Georgia is a really top team.
Sec is overrated
Dont lose to vandy and Oklahoma
According to all official data the SEC is an NFL caliber conference. Indiana is a glorified bad high school football team.
And you know what Notre Dame would beat the snot out of Alabama
Hey Marvin. Great video. But we’ve seen stuff like this happen with 4 teams. It’s football.
Terrible game
Bama lost to Oklahoma worse lol 😂
@@jetcloner3033I didn’t see any mentions of Alabama in the original comment🤷♂️ rent free?
@@Ddddjjbddd why does that matter ? Rent free . I was stating another terrible game
MattBeCaillou That Notre Dame Indiana game took us back 40 years. Sad the first expanded playoff game looked like that.
Every conference only has a couple of good teams if that’s the case ,
So serious he even skipped the intro begging for subs
Edit. Just noticed you actually hit 355k, GRATS
Alabama would have lost like 45 to 3.....there broke damn tide now......
