      Haha yeah in the end it's more about the playing than the instrument I guess ! But some have a jazzier oriented tone. Thanks a lot man !!

    _I love how you can feel the vibrations of the strings through the body. 🎵🏆 Cool upload!_

    Sounds nice with the flats. SG’s can make a nice jazz guitar, especially the fact you can play up high really easy.

      Yes and with the tone knob rolled a little bit it really does sound more jazzier than in these clips ! Super versatile and comfortable instrument

    I can’t believe this tone 😮 especially where you stroke around 0:06 but the sg is so calm and smooth sounding.
    With me playing a sg the sound will be to loud

    Damn I'm gonna put flats on mine. I guess the tone makes sense, because the pickups and pots are very similar to what gibson put in the big jazzboxes

    • @etiennechagnon
      @etiennechagnon  Год назад +1

      Exactly! And this particular SG has a Gibson 57 neck pickup and it is very well suited for jazz even on roundwound strings. Very round sounding pickup. But the feeling of flats is weird on this instrument, I honestly don't recommend it! I've done a video about it and put the link in the description of this video if you're curious

    Awesome sound! What kind of jazz chord progression is that you were playing in the beginning? And those licks, what scale do you call that? I'd love to learn those scales!

    • @etiennechagnon
      @etiennechagnon  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey thanks man ! I'm just comping and improvising over the standard "What is this thing called love". If you wanna learn to play jazz, don't learn scales, learn phrases at first !

    J'hésitais entre acheter une SG ou une guit pour jouer des trucs avec un son plus clean. Je pense que la SG va faire l'affaire ;)

    supposedly clean tone but you clearly use A LOT of compression.
