I followed your instructions exactly and bent the mounting plate exactly as you did it. The horn then fitted perfectly into the space provided. I also sprayed everything black. Now my Triumph Rocket 3 GT sounds much better. Thank you for your support.
I bought the split Denali sound bomb horn and just couldn’t see where I could fit the two parts which is odd as they sell a harness for the Rocket. Expect it was for the old style of Rocket. Anyway I bought the mini and it fits great. The split one I’ll install on my Sprint ST daily commuter as there’s a ton room behind the fairings. Thanks for sharing your installation 👍🏻
Hi Karl Definitely sounds better. But the first one suits you more 🤣 Gotta say great cinematography at the start and end 👍🏼 Good touch with the hot cowgirl at the end 🤪 Keep up the good work 🛵🏍🦼
Nice!! Other than the two wires ... Did you need to make sure the bracket was grounded to the bike's frame by scraping away a bit of the black paint under the bolt? Just curious.
Thank you for posting this. Question; Do you think the proximity to the engine will melt the plastic ? The OEM horn is all metal. May be not an issue as the fans in the front will be blowing air straight to the horn. Just wanted to know based on your experience
Hi I noticed in your video a red bike lift could you please advise brand and where I could purchase from? Would it be suitable for my Rocket 3 GT? Thanks again excellent video.
hi, ye it came from Total Tools, I've had it a couple of years and it works very well on the Rocket, in fact I used it just today. I just lift both wheels about 50mm off the floor and it's so much easier to clean the wheels it's worth it just for that. I think it was about $200, but well worth the money, it's very solid (slide it under the Rocket from the opposite side to the side stand and as far back as poss).
@@Carlshandlebarsandholidays Hi thank you for your reply I think I have found it on Total Tools website brand TTI 600kg ATV Motorcycle Jack ATV2211S2. Could you please confirm? Thanks again Chris
@@Carlshandlebarsandholidays electric cables are very exact, but it is ok for now. i hope, it will last.the horn is only modification i did on my gt. nothing else is needed. the bike is simply perfect!
A relay is not needed for the SoundBomb Mini, but is required for Denali's larger Air Horns like the SoundBomb Compact or SoundBomb Split. Both of those come with a relay and there's a Plug N Play Horn Wiring Harness available if you don't want to make your own horn harness. The Air Horns are much higher draw than electromagnetic horns so they cannot go on the stock wires.
Pathetic penny pinching by Triumph especially when you consider that the bikes don't come cheap in the first place. Safety as well because the daft peep-peep horns just don't carry into cars' interiors, Even the wife's Fiesta sounded better. - I fitted an Oxford Foghorn to my T100 because the original horn sounded so silly. Soundbomb looked a bit too big for the space available.

Excellent, glad to hear my vid was of some help. 👍
I've the same unit on my bike and now I'm not quite as concerned that someone won't hear me. Nice installation, BTW. 👍

Nice 👍🏼 video!!
Just put my Soundbomb in - little trouble bending the bracket, but got it done ✅ - what an improvement for my GT - thanks a ton!!!

Shouldn't you be working ? .... LOL (cheers mate)
Great content,
What luggage do you use for the rack ( weekender )
Nice video. I wonder how 2 horns would sound if you could find a place to mount the other one. Maybe I'll try it.
I'm sure it'd sound even better, but there's not much room !
Thanks for watching.
My thoughts also.👍🇺🇸

No, no need, I just connected the wires and it worked perfectly.

Doesn't seem to be an issue, several rides in now and no problems at all.
@@Carlshandlebarsandholidays Thanks
Has it melted yet? Just did mine and have about the same clearances from engine casing and headers. Thanks
I don’t have the bike anymore, but no it was fine for the year and a bit I had it. 👍

@@Carlshandlebarsandholidays Thank you purchased one yesterday 👍
@@christopherireland5235 great, you'll find it very handy I'm sure.
Have you also sprayed the back of the horn with black color?
Well spotted, yes I have … LOL

Tinkering with motorbikes and a dog - what more do you need from RUclips?
This horn to worn you or others 😊?
I want to pull the 30lb's of can on my Triumph but I dont want ear piercings exhaust system . Still want the db to be low
Great. I'll get one. 👍

Good job, thanks for that. Will be doing the same mod, as the Road Runner "meep meep" horn doesn't float my boat... ;-)
Ye it's terrible isn't it, an easy mod, well worth doing.
