Regarding the headshake you noticed, my GT never showed this behavior, it doesn't wobble at all. What I saw in the video, the front tyre doesn't seem to be the original Avon Cobra Chrome, maybe that's the reason. I use the factory front shock adjustment with the original Avon tyre and, as I mentioned before, never had issues with headshaking.
yeah i have the R3R Black and never had any headshake, stock Avon front tyre also, even at 158mph (in 5th, missed my shift into 6th before having to slow down)
Mine rides superstable too but I had to school myself in the whole suspension matter. It took me a season and noticed the trick is writing everything down and having notes ready when on specific roads but man... Did I come to appreciate this thing afterward!
@@thomasandrewphd.5844 In case of this Rocket 3 I would suspect the front tire as the reason. But I can't say whether this could also apply to a current Honda. In 1982, my Honda CB550 at the time also had the problem, but it was due to the poor chassis.😉 At that time I was able to improve this behavior with a steering damper.
It's nice to see some work on more cruiser type bikes. Everyone tunes sport bikes, but you don't see too many cruiser tuning videos. That wobble is a bit concerning and doesn't seem normal. I do 140 pulls on mine with no noticable wobble, fortunately.
Never had the head shake on my 2020 GT. Did move the pegs and add the Werks exhaust. The changes you made make sense to me. Top speed should have been put at 180 and a little more power in the gears because there is plenty available. I never put the quick shifter on but everyone says that is a big improvement when accelerating. How do you find a reputable shop to make the same changes? I live in Virginia.
Nice video. It's so nice the explanation and numbers, that I was thinking all time how to change rpm in my Rocket. Have you tested times at a drag race? Many of us are so interested in those numbers... I think that those new numbers make a difference in quarter mile.
in the same condition air pressure temp inlcine wind rider weight position suit asf if stock do et 11,0s than on this flash be around 10,3 sec 👍🏻 terminal sped 123-124 vs 132 -133 mph more less 👌🏻
I have a Rocket GT. I suspect the head shaking is caused by the tire’s interaction with the road surface. I haven’t experienced this problem where I live
Didn't see that ammo canister on the side first time I watched the video. Love it. How did you mount that? Will definitely be getting your tune after I put in a couple more miles on mine
Is balance, maybe tire pressure, maybe sitting position, maybe tire width, perhaps front suspension not calibrated for his weight? Is a balance situation it varies from bike to bike and person to person.....
@@baetech1982 most likely the suspension hasnt been tuned to him, like he said its first ride/impressions for him so yeah. Man has big balls to make runs like that without adjusting the suspension for him. You can see the death wobble so clearly

Very informative, professional video.....well done! I ride a 2021 Rocket 3 GT which I love, but always felt it to ride a little "rough" in the first 3 gears. So I thought I would get a Dyno-tune assessment and possibly tune done. We live in (Southern) Thailand and there are not many places who perform this service, but the one place we could find (about 150km away) advertise as the latest and greatest in Dyno Technology. After sending several emails we received a short reply, telling us that they hadn't done any work on Rockets (fair enough) and then asked if we had the cables and software...????? This left us puzzled, we do have an OBD2 Adaptor, but these are more or less universal fit - my inquiry for further details remains unanswered. Sorry, to bother YOU with this now, but WHAT cables and software would we, as customer, customarily need to supply (to a "professional" Dyno shop) to get the job done......can you enlighten us....? Thank you so very much for your time and troubles
We provide you with everything you need to flash your bike at home. We email you the tuning to load into the handheld. It’s very easy. We do the research on bikes so you don’t have to head to a dyno.
I have your guys tune and the extra rpm is awesome, I feel like the speed limiter was only moved to about an indicated 158mph though cuz I haven't gotten it to show passed that.. but on a different note, idk if I've just gotten used to it or maybe it's cuz I have the stock bread box exhaust but mine doesn't seem to pull as hard as the video.. guess I should find a dyno and see what numbers mine puts down
wonderful video. are the 3 throttle tables attached to the rider modes, or attaches to gear groups (1&2 3&4 5/6)? what is the new rpm limi you set for this bike? 7400? thanks for the feedback
I have a TFC Rocket with titanium valves and standard redline is 7,000, this will work just the same in mine I presume? I’m keen, so I need to buy a handheld device to sync it Blutooth? Does the App work on iPhone? I’m ready to go but need some hand holding on details lol.
Man this looks great! Is there a blanking plate that was used when the backrest was removed? I notice this is the GT version, but without the backrest--I'm looking to do the same. There is a hole in the rear passenger area once you remove that backrest and it looks like it's covered on this bike?
Did that to my GT - had to wait 2 and a half months and the cost was 516 dollars! For two bits of brushed ali. Anyway, the accompanying brackets and bolts dont fit so i glued them in with contact glue and filled the groove flush with black RTV. Looks great but quite a mission...
I've just ordered a rocket 3 storm GT and it seems like triumph have remapped to get similar gains for the 24-25 models.. I wonder what my new "cruiser" .. lol.. would achieve after retuning. Love the videos btw
I have you guy’s flash on my rocket 3 but it didn’t remove the top speed limiter. Is there a way to get another file from you with the updated flash? Also does shifting that high over redline damage the bike? Running hard I shift mine right at 7k. You mentioned shifting at 7400?
Great job, how that should have come out of factory 😎 Roadster version way more chuckable, peg height adjustable, loved mine 🤙 never had any head shake on the flatter bars, used to bang my limiter with no tail off, full throttle quick shifter made such a huge difference, maybe the Werkes without map to blame. Have you mapped the CB1100?
Raised pegs , 1 inch up , 2 inches forward , reverse gear pattern now , 1 up , 4 down , 2003 complete transmission , go big ? Or ride a scooter , 13.2 to 1 compression
Thought this bike was faster. Guess the weight needs more power to move it. But the off the line and low throttle passing with that TQ has to be crazy. Pretty sure u can get this bike over 200whp with mods
Under inflated or worn rear tyre can cause head shake a lot of times it comes from the back of the bike. Best stick with original tyres or specific to model. Looks sounds great I want one before Iam too damn old to ride one it will be the perfect weapon in Cambodia where I live to terrify tuk tuks and other odd things on the roads here.😎😎😎😁😁
A bigger 3 into 1 header, mid head work, street cams, and a little more compression and this would be maniacal but with stock driveability and reliability. A 250hp cruiser that'll last 300,000 miles, lol the future!
I ran a buddies modified previous model Rocket 3 with 260 rwhp at Bonneville Speed Week in August 2023. The salt was pretty wet so we got 164 mph but the bike had a lot of weave in the first two runs in fact on tne 3rd run the front end weave was accompanied by a rear wheel wobble and chucked me off. ruclips.net/video/9zseiUjGS8U/видео.html I have went to the drag strip with my Thruxton R and had good luck against 145 rwhp older models and 165 rwhp new models . However, I do think a 165+ rwhp new model properly ridden would beat my 11.678 ET. I won't do roll ons against a Rocket 3 with my Thruxton R because I'd be crushed.😄😄😮
I owned 3 of the previous version and they were tanks and I was running over 200hp from Carpenter racing, at that time Jardine made a mean exhaust. This exhaust is such and ugly desing, it doesn't got with the flow of the rear tire
Whatever tire is on the front of that bike needs to go in the trash, immediately. That fork is TERRIFYING to look at, it was absolutely trying its best to get into a tank slapper ☠️☠️☠️

How much of a difference does that aftermarket exhaust make on the performance though?
