I had that same sled with a 399 in it. Sold it. Bogies got no worries on gravel. Giver. Sometimes that ball in the valve can still shake around, but it's worn oval That can cause a LOT of dicken around.
I must have a horse shoe up my azz, I haven't had to take a Tilly apart in years. Use non ethanol fuel, change my filters regularly. They sit for months and I use a squirt to prime them but once in a while one won't take off- I have a short line with a primer ball and I will force feed the carb and you can feel that sticky needle break free. I have nine tilly equipped machines at last count. '72 Oly is my fav looking of that generation of 'em. That hoods in great shape. You know they are yellow all the way through and you can wet sand and buff that thing back to nearly original shine. But like me you are more of a beat it around the woods kinda guy. This is the first year I won't get to ride, flu cancelled my trip up to ERX and now there ain't nothin' but mud!

Pull the return line on carb and blow on that if you want to get fuel to carb.
