To me one of the greatest songs ever! I remember hearing this fantastic song in 68, in high school I knew it would be a big hit. I dig the psychedelic guitar sound. When she did Cry Baby at the Monterey concert Clive Davis was in the audience CEO of Columbia Records signed her on the spot. Ball & Chain another great song. I dig much of her music
Janis was an extremely talented and energetic singer as exhibited in this song. She worked hard to keep the blues alive and well. Too bad you can't see a video reflecting the emotion in the singing of her music. In addition to "Me & Booby McGee" which would be a great listen you might want to try "Summertime" just to show the contrast of her voce. She made it look easy but it wasn't. She was one of the highest paid performers at Woodstock.
Thanks again, she has such a unique vocal, is amazing, and her life was short, sad. Newschool liked it , cool. Suggest: .."Sylvia's mother" by Dr Hook......"Hello hooray" by Alice Cooper "Without you" by Badfinger....."One tin soldier" by Original Caste....."For what it's worth" by Buffalo Springfield..............."Universal soldier" by Donovan

Speaking of Pentatonix, they did a cover of this song when they was on the Sing Off. I think it was week 2 or 3. Worth a listen 😊
