I have been trying new techniques lately, getting away from complacent habits like only using worms, power bait etc... I went to Prado yesterday 2/3/2021and used the double drop shot set up you demonstrated in your last video and it worked like a charm. Gaining confidence in using artificial baits on all levels now, keep it up and ill keep on watching and learning... as we say "No task to Great" Essayons.

Fishing in the rain is great - also the fish go deeper cuz of the visibility of the roiled up dirt and mud. When I go in the rain I shorten my leader to 6 or 8 inches of the bottom. That is why you where catching the trout on the bottom hook of the double drop shot - Fish on and good luck .

Not very far, 10-15’. Most of the fish are usually up close

Yes. I use all different ones but I almost always use something. Smelly Jelly shrimp, Bang garlic, Smelly Jelly garlic liquid are some of my regulars

What size are you using on the minnows length wise
I mainly use 2” minnows on a rare occasion I’ll use a 2.5”

@@runninassassin9147 if your talking about the Mini Anarchy it is 2.25 inch length. Not a minnow but a slug style bait that resembles a blood/sand worm. Have minnows to that are 1 7/8inch or 2 1/4 inch in length
I’m thinking of going out there on Tuesday. Do u think there are a lot of fish out there still? I know they stock on thursdays and are closed. But that place is always packed Friday Saturday Sunday. Do you think on Tuesday there will be much left??
There are definitely still fish in there they just get tougher to catch. There is a large amount of bait fish in both lakes so the trout use that as their main food source and may turn their nose up at normal bait presentations. I always run bait in the early morning; micetails, trout worms, and sometimes powerbait then late morning into the afternoon I start drop shotting
