You look beautiful with short hair. I recently shaved my head when my mom lost her hair during chemo. I’m in month three and it’s finally getting to where I can comb it. Thanks for posting this video.
Your pixie cut is so cute!!! I shaved my head for the first time last month! I never thought I could pull it off and always used my hair to hide. I only shaved it because my mom started losing her hair from chemo and I didn’t want her to have to go through that alone. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs with my insecurities coming to surface now that I do have short hair, and so many people stare now. But at the end of the day I just have to remember why i did it. My mom’s reaction to seeing my head shaved matters more than anyone else’s opinion 😌
i shaved my hair the exACT same way you did just two weeks ago. you definitely explain those little details nobody tells you about doing it that just make it feel right and relax more about your looks, and even though i do feel a little self conscious sometimes your video really gave me hopes to what´s waiting for me the next months; you look super adorable and pretty 🥰🥰🥰
Your hair in this video currently looks amazing, the pixie cut super suits your face. I shaved my head to a zero two weeks ago but I am blonde so it doesn't look as striking as yours, I just look sick lol. But it FEELS SO GOOD that I honestly don't care I look weird & its a bit annoying that people think I am an anarchist but seriously its so liberating & confidence building I love it.
I habitually shave the sides of my head and dye the top fun colors - usually blue. Sure, my family has things to say about this and try to get me to pick a more traditional style, but the maintenance is great, the short hair feels great, and looking in the mirror every morning to see my hair looking awesome is a pretty great ego boost! I highly recommend people experiment with their hair all they want until they find the style that makes them feel great about themselves. It doesn't matter if other people like it, as long as YOU like it!
I’m coming up on the two month mark from shaving my head with a five guard and you and I have had almost the exact same experience, lol. From doing it because my hair was so damaged, to feeling like people are staring at me, to feeling like I have to pay more attention to my face and body, to the awful bed head lol. I can’t wait to see how it grows for both of us!
I shaved my hair for almost Two Moths when i did it. Im at 6 Months now of growing it out, my hair still Sticks up. Everyone that i know likes the way i look with short hair. So im good, and i would probably shave it again in the future.
What you said about hair affecting your body and face really got to me. I once cut my hair to shoulder length, and I remember being soooo insecure because I've always hated my face and body. I thought I'd become more confident and get used to it eventually, but I didn't and now I'm traumatized of cutting my hair. It's like I cape I can wear to help hide my ugliness.
Yes, I wish there was more focus from a lot of people shaving their head with what it does to your bodyshape. I shave my head years ago, usually had it short, and it looked cute with my face, but with my figure (broad shoulders and all that) I did look a lot like a boy. I didn't mind, being a tomboy, but it's definitely not something everyone would want.
I had an extremely short pixie- and it made me completly look like a boy. I mean when I was wearing a dress that showed my actual body shape, sure, girl. But as a girl getting away from being a tomboy to more feminine, it sucked. But after growing it out to shoulder length I cut it right back off again. So i guess i just didnt care. (I love my hair now, its a much more feminine cut.)
well i don't think shaving your hair makes you more secure with yourself, but it's like if you wear makeup everyday, you feel unconfortable not wearing it, but if you don't you may still think ur ugly but you feel normal yknow. At least it was for me.. there was an adaptation period in which i was super conscious but now idgaf even though im insecure. i've kept my hair pixie for 3 years now
I did shave my head and by the 4th month I was wearing wigs. I’m still wearing wigs and will continue until I have a bob. The growing out stage is beyond hell.
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT MONTH TWO!!! I shaved my head August 22 so I’m only my second month and my hair is only growing up and i haven’t heard anybody else talk about it... thank you for making me feel seen!!
I'm at the phase where my curls start coming back (I do have it a bit longer that the girl in the video now) and it has to be styled in order to look decent, haha. Before it was just 'I hardly have to do shit about my hair, just comb' and done xD
I’m so sorry you get the “ you look like a boy” comments I’ve gotten them since elementary school 🤣 You’d think such juvenile comments would disappear over time
@@cristina8868 I'm going to do it because I want the liberation that I've heard comes with shaving your head, especially for women. Even if I only do my hair once a day or don't even do it at all, my hair occupies a lot of my mental/emotional space. I don't even know how many times a day I look at, feel, and often criticize my hair. I also want to have a few months without major dandruff (something else that occupies a lot of my time) and I want a fresh start on having healthy hair. To be able to do just wake up and not have my hair play a major factor in my day is something that I want to experience at least once in my life and I want to do it while I'm young enough for it not to just be an old lady cut.
I buzzed mine a few weeks ago down to a five, then a week later to a 3! My quarantine buzz cut. I love the way it feels. I think I’m going to keep it buzzed for a while. I’m older and don’t have the perfect face, but I’m older and don’t care. My husband helped me buzz it! 💕
i really wanna shave my head bc hair is so freaking annoying,, my mom will 100% not let me so my plan is to shave it once i'm in college 👍 shaving my head is literally on the top of my bucket list in life
You are cuter than a bug's ear!!! And as far as me shaving my head: I spent my whole life (I'm 55)wanting long thick hair. (I have fine, straight hair) So no wouldn't shave my head. I think it's cool that you learned so much about yourself doing this! You go girl. 🌹
i shaved my head around 3 weeks ago on impulse and it has already grown SO MUCH it's interesting to see. my hair always grew fast, but damn. i completely agree about the body thing, and - now that it's winter, it's A LOT colder, i constantly wear a hoodie w the hood on.
I've shaved my head multiple times and had long hair too. I like it short and long ,but in between is rough sometimes. Also, you look great with a pixie cut.
I'm three-ish years out from shaving my head (after having had it short for years, and now growing it out as long as I can). My tips for the early phases are to use gel for styling (takes care of the weird things short hair wants to do on its own), and to undercut your hair for the awkward lengths. Once you start getting into the mid length stages, then inverted bobs are your friend because you can let them go for a lot longer before they get mullet-y. After a while with the inverted bobs, you can start working towards getting your hair all one length and really just let it grow. My hair is now to my collarbones after more or less following those methods for less awkward growout for three years!
I had been wanting to shave my head for years as a bucket list kinda thing but I always chickened out until one time at around midnight I just went for it since I was feeling bold haha. Did not regret it and YES! I TOUCH MY HAIR SO MUCH NOW! LOL I love touching it, it feels fluffy and just overall cool.
I shaved my head last month to the same length you did. It’s spiky... I hate it. But I’m glad I found someone who had the same thing. Hopefully mine flattens at the three month mark too😓also, you look absolutely gorgeous with any length hair and you’re actually dealing with it better than I am🥺
i shaved my hair around your starting length at june 6th 2020, so its been around for 6-7 months. my hair is around 3 inches (7,5 - 8 cm) now and i was intended to not cutting it till 2025 but seeing your video made me kinda miss the look and the feel of a shaved head honestly lol. you look so gorgeous btw ❤️
I shaved my head completely bald a couple months ago and instantly regretted it. I hated it and avoided looking in the mirror and wouldn't leave my room. I was so glad everyone was in lockdown lol. But it was weird because I've shaved my head before when I was younger and I loved it. I think that my self esteem has really gone down since then, but I think it is giving me an opportunity to work that out with myself. I was in the exact stage as you in this video when I went to the hairdresser and got the sides shaved so that it's floofy just on top and I am much more confident now. Not a lot of people talk about it, so thank you for sharing! You look amazingly adorable with short hair by the way 😊
I've shaved my head twice and both times I had the top of my head hair rising up to the heavens whereas everything else lay flat. For me it only happened while it was super short, at around 2 cm in length it was defeated by gravity, but before it grew that long I looked like I was in the military.
I wouldn't shave my head because I have a weird mole on my scalp which stays hidden. But also, my face shape would not suit it. But you look SO GOOD. It suits you.
you are adorable and you are beautiful both inside and out! please ignore those who lack manners and are rude with their words. what they say and how is is said says everything about them! not you! their words are about them - you are beautiful with or without hair nothing can change that
I did shave my hair once. Not completely, it was just 9mm cut, but it felt soooo liberating. I've never been a "feminine" girl, but when I did that cut I was overwhelmed by a sudden "feminine" feeling, if it mKES any sense. Also, for me it turned out pretty addicting, there's no going back for me after that experience, having even medium length hair is too stressful, so I'm going to shave it again soon.
If it means anything to you, you look really cute with this hair. I know it's weird to have short bangs, but they look fine when the rest of your hair is that short, too. You're rocking it :)
Im in my 14th week of growing my hair out now and it feels like its almost stopped growing :') this video has given me faith that next month will be a good hair month cause honestly your style in this video is such a vibe with the microbangs and little headband :) bring on month 4!
Had a shaved head for about a year and a half now! I’m currently leaving it alone (started fresh with my virgin hair) and growing it out 😊 Can’t wait for the awkward lengths haha!
My hair is almost to my butt now and I didn’t realize how much I liked to touch my hair until it was this long and now I never stop touching it... it’s like a thing I do now to help with my anxiety
I shaved my head bald september 29 of 2022 due to trich and i have a lot of videos of my journey on my channel. it was the best decision ever, i'm so glad i did it. it felt so liberating and empowering, truly life changing 😍 plus, wigs are great you can switch up your looks so easily without damaging your hair. I don’t plan on dying my hair and keeping it virgin all the way.
I looooove having super short hair (my length is the same as this pixie cut here). I remember feeling like I wasn't allowed to cut my hair shorter than chin length bc I'm overweight, and I've just never seen any character in media or person in daily life be overweight and have a pixie cut at the same time (unless they were the butt of a fat joke). So what you said about feeling self-conscious when one's hair is cut short rang so true for me. Ultimately, the absolute joy of having my hair all chopped off vastly outweighed any stares or glances I might've felt on me.
I’ve wanted to shave my hair since last year…but I’m insanely self conscious I’m worried of what people would say And I kinda wanna get a cute boy cut.. 😟😟
No one ever talks about the issues growing it out, so thank you for this! Btw, your hair is VERY cute! You look great with a Pixie cut! And, as for the guy who commented on your hair--how incredibly rude! What a jerk! It's okay to be abrupt with people who make unsolicited comments about your appearance--it's none of their business!
I know this is an old video but i imagine your hair isnt that much longer so you'll probably like this tip! I shaved my hair in 2019, and to avoid it boining towards the sun i would just leave a towel on my hair when I get out of the shower. Just let it hang there, works for bedhead too (if you just wet your hair and leave the towel on it)
Awwwww! Don’t worry about your body! Its perfect just how it is😌💗 (ps: don’t think I’m some kind of weird old man acting creepy, I’m just a random girl taking inspiration from you! Your amazing🥺💕)
I buzzed my hair off just before x-mas 2020! Went from 20” to less than 1/4”. It’s been a breeze! Helps the most ‘not caring’ what others think. I have other issues that have taught me to ignore looks and opinions. My hair defies gravity still after 3 months 😂😂😂

Just shaved my hair (yesterday), I'm loving it! I was so concerned of it looking bad, but it turned out quite nice, actually. It's amazing!
i shaved my head 6 months ago and it was the most refreshing thing i have ever done. i felt so beautiful and it pushed me outside of my comfort zone in a great way!
My mom’s reaction to seeing my head shaved matters more than anyone else’s opinion 😌
omg pixie hair suits you so well! you have such a cute face
i shaved my hair the exACT same way you did just two weeks ago. you definitely explain those little details nobody tells you about doing it that just make it feel right and relax more about your looks, and even though i do feel a little self conscious sometimes your video really gave me hopes to what´s waiting for me the next months; you look super adorable and pretty 🥰🥰🥰
THIS HAIRLENGTH LOOKS SO GORGEOUS ON YOU OMG. You have the cutest face ever and this hairstyle compliments you so much ♥
I think the style you have in this video really suits you!
I shave my head yesterday... I love it!
❤I get it same here but your not ugly ugly attitudes
SAME
Yes, I wish there was more focus from a lot of people shaving their head with what it does to your bodyshape.
At least it was for me.. there was an adaptation period in which i was super conscious but now idgaf even though im insecure. i've kept my hair pixie for 3 years now
im on month two and im having the same crazy hair growth thing happening and this makes me feel so relieved it gets better :)
I did shave my head and by the 4th month I was wearing wigs. I’m still wearing wigs and will continue until I have a bob. The growing out stage is beyond hell.
Ohh gurl just discovered your channel, your smile is soo cute ✨ and love your hair short, fierce 🔥
Welcome here! Thank you so much🥺
I mean its a look girl, not everyone can pull it off the way you can, amazing as always 😍❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT MONTH TWO!!! I shaved my head August 22 so I’m only my second month and my hair is only growing up and i haven’t heard anybody else talk about it... thank you for making me feel seen!!
i’m growing out my hair and i’m at the weird phase where it sticks up, but this made me feel so much better
I'm at the phase where my curls start coming back (I do have it a bit longer that the girl in the video now) and it has to be styled in order to look decent, haha. Before it was just 'I hardly have to do shit about my hair, just comb' and done xD
@@FlowersOfSuicide666 how long is it now? :]
how long is it rn?
I’m so sorry you get the “ you look like a boy” comments I’ve gotten them since elementary school 🤣
You’d think such juvenile comments would disappear over time
The world would be a better place if people learnt to mind their own business 💔💖
It’s a double-edge sword for me, cuz 1. I’m trans and 2. Girls with pixie/short hair get these comments that aren’t so nice :(
The pixie cut is absolutely your style.. You look fabulous!
I'm so glad you acknowledged the fact that removing your hair makes you focus on your body and if you don't like it, it's hard.
I have plans to shave my head in 2.5 years, around my 40th birthday. Thanks for sharing your story!
i really wanna shave my head bc hair is so freaking annoying,, my mom will 100% not let me so my plan is to shave it once i'm in college 👍 shaving my head is literally on the top of my bucket list in life
Lmao Im planning the same thing. Hope it goes good
I also shaved my head around the same time you did!! It’s so fun going through all the different stages :D
My hair is now to my collarbones after more or less following those methods for less awkward growout for three years!
i'm shaving my head post-pandemic with some friends and this was super helpful! you look amazing
Hopefully mine flattens at the three month mark too😓also, you look absolutely gorgeous with any length hair and you’re actually dealing with it better than I am🥺
i shaved my hair around your starting length at june 6th 2020, so its been around for 6-7 months. my hair is around 3 inches (7,5 - 8 cm) now and i was intended to not cutting it till 2025 but seeing your video made me kinda miss the look and the feel of a shaved head honestly lol. you look so gorgeous btw ❤️
you need to trim your hair approx. every 6 month keep in mind
This length looks amazing on you x
You look somewhat similar to Audrey Hepburn.
Whoever said you don't suit a pixie cut is obviously jealous, you look so cute with short hair! x
you are adorable and you are beautiful both inside and out! please ignore those who lack manners and are rude with their words. what they say and how is is said says everything about them! not you! their words are about them - you are beautiful with or without hair nothing can change that
So sweet, I really appreciate it!💜
So pretty! I imagine it looks so classy too with a nice red lipstick. But HEY where did you get that necklace, it's cute as hell??
After seeing you I am 100% decided I am going to shave my head!!!!!!😁😁 Thankyou so much for being the inspiration I needed💞
i love your hair both ways you honestly ROCK the short hair 😍🙌🏽
What? Who said you look Bad in a Pixie? I think you are sooo cute and short hair suits you so much!
You're rocking it :)
now im on the stage of high hair, and its soo much fun! i love how fluffy they are
Im in my 14th week of growing my hair out now and it feels like its almost stopped growing :') this video has given me faith that next month will be a good hair month cause honestly your style in this video is such a vibe with the microbangs and little headband :) bring on month 4!
I have just shaved head because it was in such bad condition! The comments you get are not that great but I can take it xx
girl this is so tempting
I recommend it, but only if you want to!
Hair wachs is my way of making my hair do what I want when cutting it short. Love it!
I think you look so beautiful with this short hair! And I definitely want to see more of you!!
Girl I am in the trees growing upwards stage right now you're not alone!!!! It's the worst!
I think shorter looks fabulous. It really shows off your face, and your face is adorable!
i shaved my head on the 1st of november, and its a really cool experience so i recommend anyone who wants to do it to do it, its worth it
You look insanely beautiful with short hair!
I’ve wanted to shave my hair since last year…but I’m insanely self conscious
I’m worried of what people would say
And I kinda wanna get a cute boy cut.. 😟😟
Me: shaving my head
RUclips literally 3 seconds later: You might be interested in this video
honestly, you looks so good with short hair, your face shape and features look so beautifull!
I'm excited about shaving my head cause I've wanted to do it for over 2 years now. Thank you for doing this video!
Just let it hang there, works for bedhead too (if you just wet your hair and leave the towel on it)
you look so beautiful in all phasessssssss
