    I see some people have a issue with Kosem’s tactic’s. But have you ever considered this… She was taken from the safety of her home and family. Young girl, all by herself. She lives in a palace where her life and position is always at stake. She has fallen in love with the Sultan and cares about who he is surrounded by. She has saved him, comforted him, has been patient and strong despite how he still sleeps with other woman. Also, another side to it is if something happens to him- it happens to her and her kids… and that’s exactly what happened when he died. Aside from her strong love for him, she had to establish a safety net and that required power and loyal people around her.
    She had to be smart. We have to use perspective. Granted she lost her way, lost herself and she winded up hurting her children, but she was poisoned by her surroundings and he knew that could happen because he eventually says (paraphrasing) that he thought her innocence was strong enough not to be changed by the palace. Obviously that place filled with people who you REALLY couldn’t trust- was like a black hole. No peace.

      True and especially since Kosem was always honest with Ahmed when she heard about some wrong like the concubine Katerina and Yasemi who was sent by Safiya to kill Ahmed. Kosem has always fought for Ahmed and his throne. Handan, Halimé, Safiya, Humasha, Dervish, Farya and others were dishonest with Ahmed unlike Kosem who always told him the truth

    Forcing Handan to confess and have her love murdered and orchastrating Fahriye's death were the only 2 things I felt (Young) Kosem did that were cruel and unjustified. The only thing Dervish and Handan threatened were her power and superiority. She caused Fahriye's death not because she poisoned Ahmed but as revenge against Safiye for threatening Mehmed (Little did she know how it would backfire, as for this reason Safiye would aid Mehmet's execution in the end 😢)

    Kosem is so cruel here. 😒 There was NO reason to do this to Handan & Dervish. They did what they did to protect Ahmed. Had they not, Kosem's spoiled behind wouldn't even have a husband to begin with!
    Instead, Kosem could have made a close friend in Handan, by keeping her secret for her! Handan would have appreciated that kindness.... and would have been in Kosem's corner from then on!
    But just in case that didn't happen, the information would have been something that Kosem could have held over Handan... just in case Handan ever tried to go up against Kosem. Either way, it would have worked in Kosem's favor. But doing THIS to Handan instead, was just cruel, short sighted & stupid.
    By keeping the information a secret, Kosem COULD HAVE been close friends with Ahmed's mother! And then Ahmed wouldn't have lost his mother so early.
    This was truly a despicable act of Kosem. I hated it.

    The dervish was the most loyal, the most trustworthy, the best, but unfortunately, the king killed his Darvesh and he fell😢😥😭😭

    • @random_thoughts5343
      @random_thoughts5343 Год назад +5

      Not loyal nor trustworthy...you never kill a sultan. And let's face it..he was in love with that sultans wife, so we can say he did it only to save Ahmed but it most likely was done for some of his own personal reasons and gains.

    kosem didn't do right with handan... the previous sultan wasn't good and executed his own sons, handan wasn't involved in his murder,dervish pasha told him later
