To be honest this scene Is priceless. It shows their intensions and they own view on world and ruleing. So Its actually pretty interesting Conversation
And you can see that osman Is only telling thinks that Murat thought he Felt. For example part with Kösem because murat hated her inside and was Always cruel but Osman in his last minutes of life didnt hate her.
It was exceptional except the sorcery part... the nature of which is going to tell him his future holds negative stuff, so he'll believe it and make it come true (through faith in it) (him killing his brothers).

Actually in Turk languages we say Happiness, welness ,tree been chopped- when turks described a man or someones dynasty been killed dead or vanished,they tell it-in this case the it doesnt mean anything good. We(turk languaged nationalities)believed in divine dreams from spirits of ancestors or relatives who always shows the way and talk to us. Muslims dont believe in spirits. They call it shirk-and it is forbidden by Qoran.But turks ( nott only todays turks from Turkey, but all turk languaged nations as well) were believers to tengri and spirit world first, after islamization, some part of those beliefs still stays with us. So Murad’s dreams show it to us.
In that case Murad sees his future-future of his reign and children. Sad.
This is high quality production...the cinematography, the dialogues, the costumes, the acting, the soundtrack...everything is on point. If you want historical accuracy watch documentaries. MC and MCK are TOP!
The life and death of Osman II portrayed in this series moved me to many tears, superb acting, without reading their history, I concluded Osman's immaturity caused him to make many mistakes that cost him his life
He's a child, the fact that he was let to make many foolish actions tell a lot of his incompetent ministers and advisors
No man he wanted to restore order but janissaries killed him as restoring order would mean end of their power
The reasons for Osman fall are numerous both factors inside and outside of his control

@@lpsvevi254 well historically Murad hated Osman for killing his brother Mehmet, he always thinks Osmans cruelty extends to them also as any time Osman will kill them too, murad suffered too much from this that's why he grew up as a tough and heartless sultan

It is quite evident from the conversation between Osman and Murad that Osman never understood Kosem and her intentions!
Kosem was not blameless, she was partly responsible for what happened as well. Dont forget she was pretty ruthless as well.

Actually it wasn't osman... It was the reflection of murad's mental conflict. He thinks kosem may dethrone him with the help of army. Osman's last situation put him into a trauma
Kosem is pretty f$$l. She should rule like empress wu of china and appoint one of her child to be crown prince than everything will be good for dynasty. When she die and pass the throne to crown prince and yet she didn't do that or clueless.
This is not Osman talking to Murat. It’s Murat talking to Murat.
The concept of "death-and-rebirth" was first used in the legendary Matrix, where Neo was killed only to come back as the One. But in here, there are so many layers of hidden awesomeness. Water symbolizes purification in Islamic tradition. But Murad drowning in muddy water (after running away from a water stream) is showing that instead of purification he in his rebirth he became a darker version, whose hate no longer was no longer balanced by his heart.

Soul of Osman speaks Murad thru Socerrer
Love these series. God only knows how many I have watched these. Trouble is the writers/producers hid little gems/things in the film, somewhere in the background, secondary to the main dialogue. I keep finding them left right and centre. Like when Murat got stuck in the mud (obviously led by the other him. He was sinking and sinking, indicating theat the good Murad was drowning in his feelings and finally died.
Excellent observation! Also the part where Osman cut the tree down, that is also a symbolism. The Ottoman founder, Osman I, dreamt that a tree sprung from his chest with many branches, symbolising him being the progenitor of a glorious dynasty. When the younger Osman cut the tree down witnessed by Murad, it is the foretelling that the Ottoman reign was declining and they were responsible for it.

I'm happy she got told to her face, even when she tries to turn it back on the mother, lady if you hadn't went and gloated and told the mother then it wouldn't have happened.
This was I tough episode for me to understand, I watched it twice trying to understand the symbolism and the sorcerers place in the episode. You could interpret this so many different ways. It was a challenging episode for me.

Unfortunately Osman, like Murat, Bayezid, Iskender were influenced by Safiya, Gulbahar and pashas who were bad. Kosem always wanted to stop the fratricide by saving Mustafa and the others but now she left kindness to Halimé, Dilruba, Gulbahar and others who wanted to kill the other children

They are neither rules nor traditions, but necessity of time.
To excuse a traitor is to get death yourself in such scenarios. Survival of the fittest in most cases. And it was the same way all around the world. In Europe, Far East, Middle East, Africa etc.
Every royal family lost thousands of valuable princes/princesses in battles of ascensions. If a traitor prince was not curbed early, that would result in a civil war in few coming years, which meant more bloodshed. This was the price royals of all dynasties and kingdoms used to pay in return for the life of luxury they lived.
I saw some English history documentary in the past and I think there was once the English had this tradition. Brothers would kill brother for the throne. It all began with one of the king which I forgot the name. He is the first king to kill his brother for the throne. Then his descendent follows and it become a norm. It all started with one bad example and later generation use it by example to justify their action. But at some point they stop.
and that was when it wasn't Islamic anymore, they set themselves up for that decline, forgot just what they were fighting for.
