At the point where Switch is, I am seeing this at a last attempt for Gameloft to end Switch and iOS since those platforms have the lowest amount of players. I still want to make content on A9: Legends Unite since most of the time spent is MP, and since I will play for series score, it makes sense. I even had an idea, that if I were to make a name, I would invite a group of other RUclipsrs who haven’t touched this game to challenge them out bracket style. The last one that stood among the others, will go against me, 4 laps per each class. Like I said, being the best isn’t a goal for me. I want to show others why cars are not a form of transportation. Even your style of content does make me laugh whenever you crash or someone knock you down, because it does put a smile on my face. That’s something I’d like to do as a hobby. Yes, there are other games, I’d like to play, so with Switch being on a dry spell, it does give me the opportunity to try to finish up Forza Motorsport 4 to think what country of cars I’ll play, finish up my courses, find an internship for work experience, and move from there. This is something I had in my mind, back in 2021 during the First Black Friday season. I want to somewhat follow what Nick is doing on his channel, but follow what Afiq and Ferrum have with their real world jobs. Work from Monday-Friday. Chill on the weekend. So the Barcelona team better find a way to get the patch ready for Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft first, because if they can’t get Nintendo done first, clearly they will struggle with the others, meaning those console stores, will pull the game off the shelves.
I do believe they will have to delay the switch version of Unite. Again, no hate to the devs, since I get it's a massive task, but if they could barely get the game working for this patch alone (the one that just released), Unite will be a whole new level of nightmare I think.
What about Asphalt 8? Is it going to be dead? What will be happen of our investment of time, money, industry? Please, save the game. Same event types, same phase, same race tracks, same vehicle ranks,no team or clan of friends to play together, challenge or chat!!! RUclipsrs already do what they can for the game by making videos constantly about it. It's the company that needs to invest into the game for it to come back alive.
Hey, I love the ford GT. It's one of my favorite looking non-lambo cars. I love the sleek look of it, and that's why i was so disappointed when I played with it in this game and saw how bad it is :(
So the Switch port is still in their own update progress compared to the other platforms, but they will subjected to cross-play. That's a very good compromise, considering that Switch port is very slow in terms of updates. Well, i can't wait for my Android progress to run on my PC!
The switch was supposedly going to catch up to global for the release of Unite, but then we had a period of around 2 months without an update to keep bringing cars and events to actually try to catch up. It was blank space those 2 months, and now 3 weeks before Unite, finally we get an update on the switch, but it's clear we're not catching up with global in that time, so we'll see what happens. It's likely Unite will be delayed in the switch
I read it as that the gass-less drift from the Nintendo switch is going to come to the global version that what understand, adopting means to carrying over to other devices
Yeah, though I misread and it says "adapting" not "adopting". Still the wording was confusing. They could've been much clearer if they just said "for that reason, the switch's driving physics will be changed to match the global version" or something like that.
Allegedly we'll be getting an update tomorrow, it got delayed originally because they found a bug in the update so they had to send a patch and was supposed to come out last week but got denied by Nintendo so they fixed it and resubmitted it, and is now supposedly approved. It didn't come out today because it's a public holiday in Romania.
Regarding *Nintendo Switch Control Changes* I had to read that section twice to get past the ambiguity. It appears that whatever controls advantage the Switch version has, will be adapted (not adopted) to (not into) the global version, which means the Switch version’s controls will be replaced with the global version controls, thus removing any previous unfair advantages to match the driving experience across all platforms. They even sympathize by saying they’re aware that this could take getting used to, and was the only solution. Do remember that these details are specifically under the “Nintendo Switch Control Changes” section.

It is useless in multiplayer. Nobody ever uses it, not in global, not in the switch. It's a class S car that can't even hit 390. It gets devoured by all those much faster "bad handling" with crazy drift cars. So yeah, comparatively speaking, it's useless, much like so many other class S cars are just not competitive.

LOL I definitely understand the "going against the grain", but for the time being, given how incredibly unbalanced class S is, these agile cars don't have much room to shine since there's MUCH better agile cars as well in the high tiers of the class.
