In this video, I'll show you exactly how to solo run the Icecrown Citadel Raid from Wrath of the Lich King for a chance to obtain the highly sought-after Invincible mount!
Invincible is one of the most popular and coveted mounts in WoW, making it an excellent starting point for your mount farming journey. It has a less than 1% drop chance from the Lich King on 25-Player Heroic difficulty.

I was so lucky after 118 attempts to get it about a month ago.
Imagine farming this back in 2010 with another 25 people and on heroic so it was pretty difficult to clear the raid and make it to Arthas. Anyways good memories and great guide, hope it drops for you soon!
We manage to clear 5 times on 25man heroic in wotlk before the drop was nerfed... 5 mounts and i did get the last one 😉 it was super rare atm, our served had like under 30 mounts Back in wotlk end.

I am not farming this one yet, but it’s on my list. I tend to farm a couple at a time over a few characters as I am an altaholic. And right now Rustfeather is my nemesis.

like so many people say this was amazing. i have only played dragonflight so i am super unfamilar wtih all the other places prior to dragonflight. i watch guides and get easily confused on how to get to a place or what to do. so thank you for this walktrhoguh! an ACTUAL REAL WALKTRHOGUH as well. not some walkthrough where the poster just assumes people know where dalaran is at .

Beastmastery hunters can heal the dragon with a spirit beast. It used to take a few times to top her off, but now it is one use.

u can skip this part with an glitch.
If you can't heal and need a way to heal this boss you can use an item called Pump-Action Bandage Gun.

Great guide! I've been running it for sooo long and still no mount. lol. You get slowed in the walk between Rotface and Festergut because of traps. Back at level we had to disarm them, if you notice when you get slowed a pack of those jumping zombies will come at you. The horde RP after the gunship fight is longer than the Alliance.
A Rogue can disarm the traps in Prof's wings when they invis

@@LadySurvivalWoWIf you hug the wall near the pipes, rather than running down the center, you are much less likely to trigger the traps. At least that has been my experience.
This mount still eludes me after over a decade and countless runs!

Took over 250 runs for Invincible. Build a army of alts, so you get more them 1 chance per week.
i feel you, i think im over 300 attempts
i have a TON of alts, i used to run it several times a week but nowadays i only get around to it a few times a month
took me only 14 years to get it on my EU acc and on my US acc i got it after 7 weeks lol . different story for mimirons head from ulduar , still running it and i'm so sick of it but im staying on it . good luck everyone -cheers

I'm a wow player since the beginning and since I was in WoD I started to farm him with like 2-3 or even 4 alts every week. Today I'm still playing the expansions for a while, like few months... and I always do tries to him. Nothing! Never fking happens! I really know what you feel at the loot. :)
BTW my main became a DK at WotLK so I've ever dreamed that mount, I don't care of other mounts at all. So sad.
The only rare amount I’ve ever gotten was the tiger from the old ZG. They removed it when cataclysm came out.
The two mounts from the new Zul Gurub dungeon are pretty rare as well. Go get them.

The slow is the ghiest trap, from my information its basically random where a bunch of spots are put down and if you stand on one youll get slowed and some dudes will spawn

The tab next to the achievements is statistics, it will tell you how many times you killed the Lich king, you don’t need an add-on that might be glitchy for that.

I should run this to try for the mount....back in the day when WOTLK first came out I soloed Strat on my very first run the Rivendare mount dropped for me, lol.
The reason you get slowed by Rotface or Festergut is because the mob of zombie things that come through. They send out a blast of slowness to find you. You can't avoid it, but sometimes if you're fast enough you can get to the bosses and kill them before they show up.
I have a second DH and they are perfect for this. Immolation Aura and run through stuff as they die. I'll park him here, pray to RNG the Pagan God of Random drops and see what I can do. Great video, excellent presentation which was informative and fun to watch. You have a new sub. Thank you!
yea DH are great for any old content! so speedy haha :P lmaoo i love your praying to the RNG Pagan God XD im into Wicca so that resonates with me :P i also recently found out DHs can skip to Sindragosa platform after killing Lana'thel. u just jump/glide through the floor where the chandelier drops. you'd probably have to look up a video to see it (unless u already know haha)

Thank god for remix. I was farming all the Drakes Horidon Ondasta etc. Now I got hem all and can start farm Invincible again. Got Ashes on less than 30 trys and Galeon pre remix on 4th attempt. Rag's mount though! Year after year.

You can heal the dragon boss with 1 or 2 ticks of a dragonflight bandage - useful for classes with no heal if you need a mog or achieve from that boss.

I ran ICC ever since it was soloable for Invincible and Ulduar for Mimiron's head on my main. Neither dropped and I probably did well over 500 runs of each raid. Then I started doing the Shadowmourne questline on a warrior alt. Invincible drops on the last run I needed to do to finish the quest line. Go do Ulduar straight after thinking it might be my lucky day. And the damn head dropped. RNG is a strange thing indeed

My favorite mounts have always been the flying horses. HH might be my fave. Only one I never did get before dropping the game some time back was the Love Rocket. :(

You should always loot “precious the dog” it has an ultra low chance to drop a pink shirt…and when you have it equipped, it gives you a “best in show” buff. =)
You can only loot Precious if she has the shirt. Otherwise she is unlootable. Unless it has been changed. It's been a few years since I have been there.
There are stealthed rogues that use Sap on you that cause it. You can detect them with flare with a hunter.

I feel your pain... I used to run Stratholme at about the time this expansion was out iirc. I was after the Barons horse,, I did it several hundred times. I saw it drop once as well... For the first time the player had been there as well. He was a new guildy and ultimately it caused so much grief about him getting it first time (still find it hard to believe there is not an algorithm at work here for first time players) that it destroyed the guild in the end...... Sad :(
that is soo painful to see. i totally feel you. its even sad cuz im seeing SO many people, at least 10 people already have commented on this video being like "got it on my first try!" or "second try!" its like how?!?!? i've been farming for 12 years it will not drop. it seems like theres some weird algorithm for sure :P i mean there probably isnt but HOW?? ugh :P im happy for them but man im just so jealous
only took me 8 years running it weekly on 5 characters. Punishment for getting Ashes on my third kill lol.

Twinsies! I got Ashes on my third try as well. I didn't even realize it and couldn't understand why all my guildies were congratulating me. They knew before I did because the achievement popped up in the guild chat and I was not passing attention. 😂
Great video, i did this on my level 45 rogue today for the first time, didnt get the drop but i'll be doing it 5 times a week with other characters, i didnt one shot the bosses on level 45 but it was easy to do still

Thanks for a very nice description. I thought there was some awful plant thats a pain if it picks you up. I also believe you can somehow save this so your other tunes can just come kill the Lich King and skip the rest
2nt time i seen your videos today! lol first was from googling how to unlock red draenei skin and saw your video pop up in results and then didnt even realize this video i had already in a tab opened alongside other mount farming vids xD very nice love your tutorials! glad to have found a good quality source for info as i try to rekindle my collecting addiction lol cant believe i dont already have this mount, 14 year old me would be so disappointed! adding this back to my rotation xD coming up on 19 years of playing wow with like a 5 yr break and then havent really played played since wotlk ended just pvp and collecting here and there and find your videos very helpful still and also inspiring to scratch that itch! thank you! Don't be disappointed if it doesn't drop fast for you. As soon as this was soloable back in the day, it took me about a year of weekly farming on 10 different characters. A friend got it on his 10th run. Make your sacrifices to the RNG gods and good luck.
As for the trash in the begining hallway you dont have to kill anything if you're precise enough you can walk right past all of it at lvl 70. For Alliance you have to kill Frost Wyrm coming down right before Gunship otherwise you cannot start the event. For Horde you dont have to kill it for some reason. Before Sister Svalna you can just run all the way and kill everything, you dont have to wait for them to catch up. It's kind of a shame that back then there werent boss skips like in Nighthold or Tomb of Sargeras where you can do a quest to skip right to the last boss. ICC was pretty good raid back in the day. Played it for over 12 years and never saw Invincible drop and we were there every week on WotLK.

Your going to be pissed at me but using your advice I got Invincible after about 7 tries with various high level chars. The only thing I did different was I watched the ending video. No idea why that would effect the odds but you never know. Now I'm working on the Ulduar mount. 6 try's so far. You were right about the tram. Looks cool!
Just dropped for me today on the third attempt, I subscribed because I wanted to get back into wow and I like your vids, you look cool too, I looted everything until I tried with my rogue, then I just looted and killed bosses no one else, I did not heal the dragon either, thanks for videos.

You can easily complete Dreamy by using any Dragonflight bandage, it'll heal her right away and you'll get the loot for transmog.

took me 12 years to get this mount i finally got it last year i ran it every lock out on 4 toons
Finally got inv last year. Going after Argus mount now, many many attempts so far to no avail…
I usually do one or twice a week mount runs where i visit a couple of dungeons back to back. To keep track on what i need to do i use an addon called Ny's To-Do List where i have made a list of mounts i am going for. Currently on my list are both Karazahns for old and new Midnight mount and Ember Wyrm mount. Utgarde Pinnacle for the blue protodrake. Buying the egg for the green protodrake at the oracles. And some more.
I hated this raid, and I’ve not played it since WoD. We used to farm it as a guild in Cata. Everyone in my guild quit in WoD, I might start again.
I got this a month or two ago after running ICC like 70+ times xD Eventually I leveled up enough alts to where I was running it like 7 times a week for a good 3 weeks. Definitely glad I never have to go back there again (Unless I want to quest for deathchargers for extra gold). Love your videos, great guide :D

Its a lot of work to do it 7 times a week especially if you have a 9 - 5 to deal with XD I wish you the best of luck, and hope you get it on your next run! I definitely thought it would never drop for me after the amount of times I tried. My roomie heard me yell "OH MY GOD NO WAY" when I finally got it 🤣 I mainly play plate wearers so now most of my characters are rocking the Legion mythic Emerald nightmare/Nighthold DK transmogs+Shadowmourne because that combo with invincible is just a chefs kiss combination
Also, forgot to mention, you can avoid the slow effect (if I remember right) by sticking to the left side of the hallway running to the guy on the left in the plague quarter, and the right side going to the other guy. I might have them mixed up, but I know you can avoid it by sticking to one side or the other on each one :D
but you forget about Wotlk TW event where is cache which contain mount form icc
im just giving the regular way of farming it. TW isnt always around, and this is new player friendly cuz you can do it solo. grouping up can be very scary. i've been playing for 17 years and even im scared to group with others
@@LadySurvivalWoWThe chance to get the mount is much higher with TW raid. And you might get duplicate pets, but the mount will always be the one you do not have.
Man this took me back! I haven’t played wow since cata, but yeah this was awesome watching. I’m going to have to renew and try to farm the headless horseman mount and invincible.
Oh and for the being slowed part, its traps. A rogue can disable them, if I recall correctly.
Theres an invisible trap on the ground near Professor Putricide which slows you and releases more adds when you step on it. You can do the Valithria fight with a hunter if you have a spririt beast and use its spirit heal to heal her.
19:07 You can heal the boss with your pet, just need a spirit beast.
Your voice is so soothing.... I have been playing WOW since 2005... used to try and accumulate mounts. After I had so many arguments with Blizzard over the fact "we" players had to purchase, grind rep,... purchase again.... farm gold,... to purchase again and again... only to have to grind rep... I gave up. Got sick and tired. Now with the new expansion, you have that annoying "dragon flight" effect (thankfully you can switch it off)... anyway,... back to you... you are gorgeous... if I had a friend left to play WOW with (especially someone like you who still has a sense of purpose)... I might log on more... I used to own a fetish magazine called Mirror Mirror and was the editor and designer for Bizzarre and magazine.... those were the days.
Dropped mine 2021, finaly stopped playing wow 2 weeks after started this week again😂

13:35 You get slowed because there are traps on the floor. Its kind of rng if you will hit a trap or no i am not sure if the traps spawn on different places every time but it should be at the beginning of both halls.

I have been farming ashes for years lol I always start out good running it with like 6 char then I get bored and quit for like a year lol
I FINALLY got Invincible last year (still trying for the Headless and Kara mounts)! My guild years back got through the (I believe) 10 and 25 man cheevs so I got both mounts from there. My huge wish for legacy raids is that Blizz would add a portal to take you to the end for mount farmers. I mean, it could be something like you have to clear the full raid to get the portal and it's per toon, not per account. I'd totally be happy for that.
1 of my fave cheevs of this raid was Once Bitten, Twice Shy for Blood-Queen Lana'thel. It was a lot of fun. I have the Transmorpher Beacon and am always stoked when I get her appearance. :)
I think at 1 point I had 10 toons at ICC entrance! But, I ran this with my hunter and lock mostly. At least with my lock, I have Burning Rush and that was really nice.
I also love the ICC dungeons. Running with Sylvanas makes it feel so epic.
Sorry you didn't get the mount - totally understand that pain. It is sooo long to not get it and makes it more disappointing. Hopefully you get the mount soon.

ahh yes that was a fun achievement! i liked doing that one too, Lana'thel is the best i adore her. i also have the transmorpher toy, i havent gotten her yet tho!! but everytime i use it im like "i hope i get Lana'thel" (mind you i dont use the toy that often i always forget about it lol)

the slowness is a trap, when you get slowed there will be a pack that comes to you, as you saw as you left the room after killing Festergut, there are two usually, one on each side, (rogues can see them , or could when this was relevant content) though you only hit one.

Been farming that damn mount since mid Cata (at least once a week on 1 toon). By the end of Cata, I was soloing it on a few toons every week consistently and have not missed a beat since then. Still no mount. At this point, I am pretty damn sure it doesn't drop any more, but I am past the point of no return. Now I have 2 toons who just sit outside the place specifically to farm there that are useless every where else (spriest and hunter as both classes suck and are extremely over hyped and I will never take them beyond there. Probably delete them if and when I get that damn mount lol)
Hundreds of runs and no horsey. I have never gone the route you take bc I have never farmed it on horde and just now realized it.
- Invincible was a fast drop for me the one that was hard was the alar mount.
