My Filipino friends parents served this one time when u was visiting and oh man it was one of the best things I ever had. So good and sour and a splash of soy sauce takes it over the top
I wish that it’s not late at night because I would love to eat this food NOW. I have just finished eating kofta and I am hungry AGAIN. I have cooked for my family for 30 years and asked my daughter to cook this for me tomorrow and she said no. Excellent dish and I’m cooking it tomorrow. From a Cook Islander
Thank you for the recipe!!! I started making this Xmas and posted on my FB; I received so many orders during the holidays! People here prefer the healthier version, boneless skinless chicken and no lemon grass nor chicha, but I'll try that next time! I don't slice my ginger, it's easier to peel, freeze and grate... that way it doesn't get wasted as not everyone eats the ginger! You should try it...another great cooking TIP. McKinney, Texas
I add grated or finely chopped fresh turmeric root to give the "Arroz Caldo" a nice yellowish colour and also a fragrant aroma to it. If it is available and can afford it some saffron. This will give a great taste and aroma as well. It is abundantly available here in Spain. Any rice dish is always good with saffron.
First time ko nakakita ng arroz caldo na may tanglad. Tamang tama meron kami nabiling lemongrass plant ngayon nasa garden. Will put it to use with this recipe. Thank you for posting this.
LOOLLLLL!!! what a coincidense, click from my notification news feed...while prepairing ingredients for my arroz caldo as well;;hhehehehehhe FIghting! Hello FoodNatics from Europe!!
Pero mas masarap talaga kapag 50/50 (sweet rice and regular rice).

I use lemongrass when cooking steamed rice. The aroma is great.
@@mryowtwo Without pandan leaves, lemongrass it is. In the US, you go to an Asian store and buy pandan leaves in the freezer section.
