주말 잘 보내셨나요? 시애틀은 갑자기 추워져서 8월 말인데도 후리스 입고 다녔어요. 좋은 여름 날씨를 한참 즐기다가 이제 드디어 시작된 비 내리는 시애틀에 조금 울적했는데요, 다행히 좋은 친구들이랑 시간을 보내면서 너무나도 즐거운 주말을 보냈어요. 미국에서 유학생활을 오래 하다 보니 이렇게 왁자지껄한 주말을 보내는 게 너무 소중하고 감사해요. 나이가 들수록 마음 맞는 사람들을 만나기가 어렵다 생각했는데, 이번에 정말 좋은 친구들을 사귀었거든요. 어렵지만 가끔은 어릴 때처럼 먼저 다가가 보고, 보고 싶을 때는 보고 싶다 표현하면 조금 더 빨리 친해질 수 있는 것 같아요. 공통의 고민거리도 한쪽이 먼저 마음을 열면 다른 쪽도 이야기를 시작하기 쉬운 것 같고요. 사람 관계에서 생각해야 할 게 많아지는 건 맞지만, 가끔은 솔직하게 표현해보는 걸 추천해요! 저도 노력 중이에요!
우리 모두 다음 주는 조금 더 즐겁게 시작해보아요! 영상을 봐주신 모든 분들께 소중한 새로운 인연이 생기길 멀리서 응원할게요.

Hope you had a great weekend! It suddenly got colder in Seattle, so I ended up wearing a fleece jacket even though it’s late August. I was feeling a bit down about the rainy season starting in Seattle after enjoying so much good summer weather. But thankfully, I had an amazing time with some good friends over the weekend. After spending so many years as an international student in the U.S., I really cherish these lively weekends. As I get older, I’ve realized it’s harder to find like-minded people, so I’m especially grateful to have made such great friends recently. It’s tough, but sometimes taking the initiative like we did when we were younger and expressing how much you want to see someone can help build connections faster. When it comes to shared struggles, it seems like if one person opens up first, the other feels more comfortable to start talking too. There’s definitely more to think about in relationships as we get older, but I recommend being open and honest sometimes! I’m working on it too!
Let’s all start the next week with a little more joy! I’m sending my best wishes from afar that everyone who watched this video makes some meaningful new connections.
