Thanks for the video! I got the LED headlight but I could not get the old bulb out! I could just get two fingers and part of my thump in the hole and just could not get the light bulb to twist off. Did you have problems with this as well?
@@starkruzen Use two fingers from one hand to hold the bulb and use your middle finger from the opposite hand to start twisting from the wire harness. I had trouble too but as soon as I tried that it came right out
I also temporarily unclipped the hood release cable thing that is attached right behind the light assembly. Just two simple clips on the underside, use pliers and they'll come right ou.

Do you know why the newer fusions have that wavy headlight cutoff? My grandmas 2014 fusion headlight cutoff is dead straight. My 2020 has that same wavy cutoff as the one in the video and it drives me crazy.
Hello, the output lighting cut off is something to do with the OEM headlight projector. The newer fusion headlight projector is different from older OEM projector.
There are adjustment dials on top to adjust the aim of the light. Check out your owner's manual as it goes over how to adjust it, I'd also check out a video on a how-to or just pay a Ford dealership to

A little late here, but I just used a small pair of channel lock pliers (I think mine were the 8 inch, crescent brand). The angled jaws fit around the socket on the light if you adjust them large enough. Slide the top jaw in first and around to the bottom of the lamp socket and grab it across the wider cross section of the socket, then twist. I couldn't pull the light out, but could at least twist the light to be ready to remove, then I used needle nose pliers to grab it and remove it from the headlight housing.

Step1: To reach the fog light position, and twist out the halogen bulb Step2: Disconnect the power plug Step3: Align the housing socket, insert the LED bulb into it and lock it in place Ste4: connect the power plug with LED bulb DONE! Hello, as the engine bay is small or the water tank obstructs, it might be difficult for you to remove the factory halogen bulb directly. I would recommend removing the entire headlight housing to install aftermarket LED bulbs. but this process may take some time.
It’s possible on both, it probably depends on your model year though. Mine’s 2019 so it was enough space to work with. I’m not sure about the other ones how they are
@@alanthepianomanyeah was for me too. I have a 2020 and had direct access to both sides. No screws or bolts, no removing anything except the dust covers. LEDs made a huge difference. Almost embarrassing that ford puts halogen bulbs on a 2019 2020 vehicle

They just want people to buy the highest trim (Titanium) which of course has everything as LEDs. We didn't do the video for 2019 Fusion fog lights. You can share the video with us. 😂😂😂 It's not hard to replace the fog light bulbs. 1. To reach the fog light from under the car. 2. Twist out the OEM light, unplug the halogen bulb 3. Install on the LED bulb, and connect the power cable. Done!

It's not letting me post a link but on page 320 of the digital owner's manual, it does state it can be W5W or LED so the higher trim must use LED. my 2019 Hybrid SE uses the halogen 194 bulb like I stated and its extremely easy to change out

Ive had a 2014, 2016, 2017, now 2020 Fusion. In 2019 , the front fascia and upper core support was redesigned. You can now reach your hands behind the headlight assembly on the 19-20 models easily without removing the bumper cover.
I found that my 2018 Ford Fusion has the new redesigned headlights that can be replaced by hand without removing the front bumper fascia. I watched the older video for the 2013 to 2017(?) Fusion headlight assembly and compared it to this one. Thank you guys for updating the light bulb replacement instructions. It's very helpful.

This is only possible on 1 of the 2 sides. You can’t get in both housings without being blocked by something.
