    How long does it take it to dry for use, and once completely set, is it heat and scatch resistant at all?

      It is very durable depending on the type of epoxy you use. There is a craft epoxy and a countertop epoxy and they yield different results, cure times, and durability. So it all depends on getting the correct product for the correct project. Stonecoat countertops' website could probably give a more specific answer.
