Hi Julie, I've posted the following on the community tab regarding how the step counter works in my videos and hope it could some light on how it works: Hello everyone! For those concerned that the step counter seems faster than the actual steps, the method I use is counting as 1 step each time the foot strikes the floor to make the step counter accurate. If there is a knee high, glide or leg curl that is also counted as a step. The steps may seem a bit faster, but I count it according to the beat (1 step per beat). Since I step according to the beat, when I edit, I sync the count to the bar of the music and that's where the published step count is based. For those using wrist-based fitness trackers, I think it just happens that some steps don't get counted at times especially with some arm positions or non-movement. If accuracy is a critical factor or especially for long distances, I have suggested to others possibly considering a shoelace pedometer. . Thanks again!😀👍Enjoy your workouts!
