- This week theres more damage and “nobody knows who did it Dan”
There is plenty to do in the yard as we prepare for a train delivery of new materials and get signage up to date. A legal battle is pending as the software issue saga continues and Daniel gives his thoughts on being a busy fool and pricing construction projects.

Well as for the pricing it is really simple, you ask them, "You want the free estimate, or the accurate estimate?" If they say the free one, then you just pick a number up high that you think it will roll in at (Experience will tell you, then you add a little on top for contingency) and if you don't get them, they are usually customers that are more work and harder to get to pay up in the first place, not a loss.
Accurate estimate, you know how much it will be, you know the legal fees and you say "Yes, this estimate will cost you X, but gives you the Y ability" (Such as owning the drawings)
Usually if they get it up front, you can get a contract down and then you are on much more solid foundation later.
For car repairs it is common to pay for the hours of diagnosis, just to tell you what is wrong, and in some cases that can be quite a few hours spent.
No garage is going to do that for free, and then the repair costs extra on top of that.
I’m trying to remember a week where Liebherr didn’t come to fix
Ben deserves more recognition for his hard work like you did flow, solid dude doing some demanding work I feel.
Haha Terry trying to stitch you up in the wheel wash 😂🤣
🎉 It's Ashville Sunday Weekly time. Thank you to all the teams for the great content.
It's right in front of your eyes Daniel. Get more block molds and become the Block King! Sell dem blocks.
Liebherr reliability on your 20 ton and 14 ton 360 is terrible. I know you like to keep with the same brand but I'm sure it would've been cheap to change manufacturers. The work they do in the yard just get the cheap 360 you can.
Time to get a cat
Or get his own in house mechanic and that will save him loads on call out fees and labour charges
Agreed he should’ve got a Volvo or cat
Sennebogen best for his Job
I'm sure there's some 13 tonners than don't require as blue so that removes any problems there. And get a zero tail swing 20 tonner for the yard.
It's Monday morning and I'm in Tobago watching Ashville 😁
Thank you for all the videos in 2023 - Merry Christmas to the whole team 👍👍
Daniel ,just buy some more block moulds .seem the new guy is doing good selling them 😂
Merry Christmas and Health and Happiness in 2024 🎉🎉
Put the Ashville logo in the mould - Ashville Blocks
Thanks for the videos in 2023 Dan. You’ve kept me focused. Have a blessed Christmas.
Daniel, the Liebherr machines are they not on warranty or service plan? Seemingly, they require senor replacement every week😢
21:14 nice cup there, who doesn't like them, they're very cute 😂
Buying more block moulds should be a priority in the yard, Daniel.
Presumably, all of your fleet is equipped with modern location trackers.
Watching fancy builds in Dubai is always fun. All the same, I'm glad Ashville is only filming it and not actually on the hook for the construction.
Watching this channel motivates me to get up and use every single minute of the working day to make money because ash is always on the move always working always making deals. Hopefully one day every subscriber gets the same drive.
Why I'm I always happy to see an Ashville upload, glued here every Sunday 😅
Hey Dan - RE pricing a job and asking the customer to pay for the initial piece, perhaps offering to take that cost off of their final invoice (should you win the project) would put them at ease.
Sand for construction in the UAE is a very interesting subject Daniel. Let me assure you, you can certainly sell sand in the UAE and you can do very well from it.
I've heard the natural sand there is too fine of a particle to be used in construction - is that the case?
@@adamp9348Not too fine, too round. The grains easily slide against each other, but for concrete, you want grains that are sharp and hold together.
@@HenryLoenwind Interesting!!!
Please please buy a rigid low loader for moving plant, rather than that roll-on roll-off with its metal wheels, that’s designed for other stuff. Plus…. You’ll be able to get under more bridges!!
I've just been following your postings for a couple of months and really enjoy watching the work you're doing. The behind the scenes shows how much goes into making the business run in all its sectors. Great to see you expanding your firm and growing it surely and steadily into a major player in your sector.
Looking forward to seeing more interesting videos through 2024. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and successful New Year.
Brilliant video keep up hard work you put in Thanks Daniel
That house will be incredible, Merry Christmas to you Daniel and the Ashville team
Sunday routine. 30 minutes till I leave for work. Ashville Weekly for some motivation.
Lets do this! Keep up the good work.
Dan, you should have a UPS on the QNAP. Then if the mains power is interrupted the system does not go down.
Not every UPS will provide continuous power though. They are usually installed to allow a gracious shutdown of the kit.
It's Sunday morning, and Ashville weekly is out...😊
that sign erecting bit, classic micromanaging. Trust Terry ! Love the vids
It's really nice to see some footage of Daniel driver working,. Keep up the great work ❤
Brilliant video as always ashville merry Christmas to you all 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Morning Daniel, All. Glad that you and M. O’Donovan are well. And, Get Well Soon once again to Yianni too. Congrats to Baz on recognition; and Congrats Daniel and to Fox re. Road Transport Ball. In deepest appreciation, Thank You Daniel, and to all, for your hard work re. Ashville, along with all the Ashville Weekly’s. All will be well. Long live Ashville! Take Care Daniel, All😊❤
You need a yard broom that attaches to your machines
Your concrete areas will be clean
Happy Christmas from Ireland
Why dont you get more block molds? Isnt it more expensive in labor to keep cleaning the trucks than to just be able to pour more blocks? Seems like it would pay for itself pretty quickly.
Regarding charging for quotes. Charge them and tell them it will be a line item credit if they move forward with you.
Cant wait to see this build.
Its Sunday and its Daniel time Happy Christmas Ashville team
Just thinking out loudly, but wouldnt perhaps a rigid flatbed trailer that is tailored for the hook crane help out for transporting taller equipment allowing you to have a stock of larger machines? It could also be used for transportation of bags, pallets, concrete walls etc. We have a couple of those at the company I drive for, funnily enough also sporting mainly black and yellow ish colours, however we also have a semi flatbed to move around the biggest machines we have.
The only channels videos I hit the like button on before it starts 😂
Same!😂
Excellent work experience thanks 😊 👍
Ive worked out from watching these weeklys is not to buy a liebherr. They just seem too unreliable
Amazing. Loved it all. Watched it twice.
Amazing how you watched a 30 minutes video twice when it was only released a few minutes ago 🤣🤣
Run beads of hard face weld along the edges of your cutting blades on your machines, you can weld it on your new blades before they are fitted, it will double the life of the blades !. Ive seen it done before
I own a software development agency and have the same issue with clients asking for a free quote. I usually tell them: Before working on it, we know the least about the project. That means, a blind quote is risky. To be able to stay in business, we'd have to price the risk in. Companies that don't do that might not be around to maintain your project; and if it comes to that, you don't usually own the plans (or, in our case, the source code) so it's hard for others to take up the work.
Happy holidays to you Daniel
Mornin bro, first channel I watch every Sunday lol
Why don't you make sail tracks for the signs so you just slide them in and out as you change around bays
mr Daniel ...obviously u need more ashville outlets in different parts of london..i know mangement is headache but u can train them same way
Good luck
Hi Daniel, in your continuous improvements, plan in fitting double door set up on your accounts office, or in the summer the place will be full of dust. 🤔🤔
21:48 The cup owner is a Chad.
I was in building a long time and always thought hardwoods were exactly that wood harder than other woods and softwoods were physically softer than hardwoods, but this is the proper definition, Trees with seeds that are enclosed, such as within a shell or fruit, are categorized as hardwood. In contrast, trees with seeds that are not enclosed are softwood. Additionally, trees with enclosed seeds are known as gymnosperms, while those with unenclosed seeds are called angiosperms.
😂 I'm here for the Baaaaatatuushh!!😂
6:12 nice Rolex man!! Well deserved stay humble
love the signs
F.Y.I The yellow on your new bay signs are a different yellow on the older signs and trucks 😬😬
Keep up the good work...
Alright then Titan jackhammers for the money, didn’t expect to see one on here though
Is O'Donovan good?
My man just vanished.
He retired and sold his firm
Be really interesting to see about the building materials used in Dubai for building with the heat and dryness etc. will be a good watch
Did I hear that right in Dubai ,, The fences have to be see through, so there will be no privacy.??😮
Your boy is getting international recognition 👏 🙌 👌
Daniel what you are doing is ordinary around the water ornament you shouldn't apply a glass fixture, because of the environment you should read what is important how will visitors enjoy what you've created. With everyone reading content we love to watch you work on new Builds share blessings with the little ones involved.Good Work!
early and the house is going to look beautiful
love the Rolex Day-Date. big up Daniel
Great episode 👏 🔥🔥🔥
Good morning ASHVILLE gang.
Again Daniel loved the episode. Top Man
Let's do this
Top one as always
@ashville
I’m just wondering
I had one of your hoodies for about 18 months now.
I love this hoodie only time i bought RUclips merchandise.
The Yellow ashville and A on back hood is becoming warned out. Do you do anything to re attach the letters that are peeling off or put new Patch on.
You should tender for work with Places for London, London’s newest property development company.
Sick episode 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Damn i love those Ashville chairs in the editing suite, Will you sell them when you start selling merchandise again?🙃🤙
Time to up grade you hook lift to carry a lowloader trailer to up your plant empire. Great video
Brillant video Dan getting shorter your top class
28.50 scaffold Tube Dan😂
Good video
concrete pumping holy smokes
You seem to have a visit from Liebherr weekly, I know construction equipment will not always be reliable but surely you ought to look around the market?
Cam we have a series of how different houses and buildimg are built in different countries?
Like the way you say sticker mans house when talking about new project 😂😂😂
Omg my forklift and my townie
You must say "excuse me", after you burp😅😅
Some people don't deserve second chances,if i was like u Dan i will go after that company with full power and sue them for loss earnings.
Why don’t we see or hear you with micheal o donavan anymore ? He’s the legend we all want to see
Does Daniel still have the wraith? lovely vid as always!
I'm slightly surprised the Finance Office isn't still in Ashville Colours.
just a thought, wouldnt it be better to put those signs on the side wall at the front facing in the direction that people are driving rather on the back wall. if you get enough of the material in theres a chance it will get in the way of the view.
Nice.
Been seeing loads of your trucks on the road and i have got to say u really need to tell the drivrrs to clean the trucks
How are your lads still using old cables man 😂 red and black T&E. you guys must of pulled that scrap out of stormzys house
aside from costs, are there any other reasons why you wouldn’t just use a gravel down in the yard instead of dirt?
Can anyone tell me why the last episode of Building impossible was not shown on sky (The one with the ship) I cant seem to find it anywhere!
I would have thought the signs in the tyre bay would be at the front not down the back. As in an emergency people are trying to read it so you would have to enter the area to find out what to do next?
But then people who are in the bay would have no way of knowing where the exit is in an emergency.
90% of those signs are to fulfil a regulation, not because they provide any value.
A380 Business Class is superb.
Shout out to Frighty for pulling it out of the hat.
The lack of concrete block moulds seem like abit of a bottle neck. Definitely should push the production of them
Daniel shirt again too!!! Tight !! Looks awful. Ready to part at the seams!!
Danielle have you ever considered a jet washer to wash down the lorries on the weekend to get all the mud and grime off the fleet ready for Monday
They do have one
...and they had to hide the stronger nozzles because the lorry drivers would clean the paint off the lorries.
4:39 i didnt think i would see a mixer from my former company.
Clients must pay for the up front work and importantly take responsibility for their budget.
