Nowadays HDR compatible monitor is commonly available in the market, but very often, it is not possible to enable the HDR mode on the monitor in a desktop environment. In the talk, we will show you how to enable the HDR mode under Windows 10, so you could truly experience the benefit of HDR monitor without using a Blu-ray player. A true 10-bit display workflow versus 8-bit workflow will be compared under HDR curve to see the advantage of utilizing the 10-bit workflow.

Thank you!!!!, i built a gaming pc with a HDR monitor, but jsut turning on the setting in settings made the screen look weird, I went in to the actual monitors settings and turned it on, now it looks great!!!

I was looking around why my HDR-ready screen does not have the option available under win10 settings, couldn't tell if it is because of my poor integrated graphics card, or because of codecs, or the HDMI 1.4 interface I'm using. Pretty puzzled you know, search after search, configurations after configurations but nope. Almost gave up but then i found this video, a protoss tech director explains all you need to know.
