  • Both fragrances are part of the BLACK COLLECTION within the Perris Monte Carlo range and Gian Luca Perris has stayed true to his mission on 'respecting the note'.
SANTAL DU PACIFIQUE, is a realistic and true representation of the SANDALWOOD note, successfully balancing between the woody creaminess of the Sandalwood note, complimented by its earthy aroma.
Then if you need a perfume for seduction then YLANG YLANG NOSY BE, is your secret weapon with it's warm ambery, floral bouquet.
    Both fragrance's are comfortably unisex.

Just received a sample of Ylang Ylang Nosy Be and glad to hear you’re wearing it Marcelo. I like it and was afraid I’d have to give it to my wife, LOL. Will get a bottle and continue my exploration of the Perris MC line. 👍👍👍

Because I've been venturing with different fragrance families for sometime now, I've been using a number of different floral perfumes so my wife (and those around me) are use to this....so to smell the Ylang Ylang on me was no big deal.
I would be curious to know what your wife thinks of the Ylang Ylang on you Mike.
I feel that because there are slight musk/animalic notes in this perfume that a man can comfortably wear it but as mentioned, curious to know what other men think about this too.
Great to hear from you mate; thanks for reaching out

Rose De Taif is incredible Julio. This is in honour of those early Arab distillation methods; a true to form deep rose (incredible longevity on this fragrance too)....good choice homie. I haven't tested the extrait but can only imagine the power based on the performance of the EDP
Good to hear from you my brother

Sniffed all the samples yesterday and coincidentally you released the video! Here’s my list of choice-
    1. Absolue d’Osmanthe
    2. Santal du Pacifique
    3. Rose de Taif
I will probably go for the extrait version of Absolue d’Osmanthe and Rose de Taif.
The name Santal du Pacifique reminded me of Australian Sandalwood. The Gurjan balsam also comes from Indian subcontinent and the bark of this tree has medicinal use for heart diseases! Really fascinating notes.

Perfect timing Muhammad! I need to review Rose de Taif...I agree with you it's magic. I will have to test out Absolue d’Osmanthe, this one I haven't put my nose to as yet. But being that this is your number one, I already know that it's going to be spectacular....can't wait to test💫
BTW have you see the Live International Maté Talk announcement? After all this was your idea my friend. In case you didn't see the last Maté Talk episode (#31), here is the link to register for this event: www.nfcperfumes.com/products/international-mate-talk-2022

Marcelo, it is you who got me into Perris Montecarlo, I just bought a discovery set of the Extrait de Parfum, and would.like your jnput if its worth to buy them or just stay with the EDP.
Thank you for such amazing content. Cheers

Awesome to hear from you Jose and so happy that you're exploring the PMC range....very underrated House and yet they are totally GLORIOUS!!
In my view the EDP and Extraits are totally different (similar but not the same). For instance I can easily wear the Ylang Ylang EDP but no way no can I wear the Extrait (way too feminine, sensual, sexy....incredible on my wife!)
      Good luck homie👊🏽

Great to hear from you Fred and happy that you're enjoying the format of these episodes...as mentioned I wanted to explore the 'notes' a bit deeper and better understand why we (as humans) love them so much.
The watch is a Paneri Luminor Marina (love wearing this one. I love it's chunckiness). I know you're looking into a Tissot....would be curious to know on which model you decide.

I was born in the Philippines and yet I’ve always wondered what a true ilang-ilang smells like. I feel that I only get a vague idea of it in the perfumes I’ve smelled where it’s one of the complementary or secondary notes. Now I’m curious to smell Ylang-ylang Nosy Be.

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  Год назад +1

I haven't had the privilege to smell an Ylang Ylang in nature (one day, I'm sure) so would also love to compare. Being that Gian Luca loves to stay true to the original note with the PMC range, I'm assuming that the Ylang Ylang Nosy Be would be a good indication.
Great to hear from you @Gen O, thanks for reaching out

I get it, I get it, you’re trying to throw me under the bus😔
No, all good Vera…. I’m going to check the episode. I do know that I always spray the perfume before I start rolling cameras. That way I remind myself of the opening notes pre-filming. Plus it gives me a chance to detect the dry down a bit more as I’m talking. So it could just be that I was running off memory in the heat of the moment, rather than what I was actually smelling in that moment.
Thank you for “fact checking” me🧐
