Sorry I’m not sure what the time stamp is but the section where he talks about Messi and his personality will definitely do well as people are dying to know everything they can about him
@@bamlakgetachew3968 the whole section starts around 1:02:00 or something like that and goes on for like 5 minutes by t yh any section where he talks about Messi’s personality would make a good Tik tok. Especially maybe that section where he says Messi has dry humour lol, a lot of people wouldn’t have guessed that and would be interested, another good TikTok would be the but where he says Messi would go to an Argentinian restaurant, Argentinian supermarket, watch Argentinian tv and Argentinian matches. Also the bit where he says Messi wouldn’t talk to Guardiola for 4 days after losses at the start of his career. All of these would make elite TikTok’s because they’re short, inciteful and factual unknown information about the goat
Wonderful guest and wonderful episode. Keep doing what ur doing James because this really is good content, your personality and your warmth is what we love and it’s refreshing watching a football fan that likes asking questions and likes learning rather than “shouty” youtubers spewing their biased opinion when as Guillem rightly said ‘they know nothing’.
Possibly the best series on RUclips. James is a top top quality interviewer and just a brilliant personality. As well as always having interesting diverse guests.
Interesting that you didn’t know about Thomas Nkono, he’s probably the best African goalkeeper of all time. He was also Gianluigi buffons inspiration for becoming a goalkeeper. Legendary goalkeeper and one of the best there’s ever been
@@nicomus1c I think the use of "interesting" at the start could be interpreted as a little smarmy. I personally didn't know about him and value your comment.
@@librarygary1618 i just said interesting cause I expected James (being a football channel) to know about Nkono as he’s a legendary keeper, didn’t mean for it to come of that way, if it did it wasn’t intentional
As soon as he said Espanyol I knew it was Thomas N'Kono. I had an old World Cup DVD as a kid which went into detail about N'Kono. His World Cup performances, club and AFCON success. Absolutely love that guy! People might remember goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. Also Cameroonian, also played for Espanyol, also was runner up in the UEFA Cup with them, also won at AFCON, also part of an exciting Cameroon team at a World Cup. He was also coached by Thomas N'Kono at Espanyol. One of my favourite football coincidences!
this is a sensational podcast, James! so many great moments here. learning about players I've never heard of, to the greatest midfield probably ever. to my fave spanish striker (I'm American), purely for the moments. even you added a little section about my manager, arteta. please keep this series going. amazing!!.
Wow, this is one of the most insightful, intriguing, and captivating episodes I’ve ever watched. The insights that Guillem was able to share gave me such a refreshing perspective through which to understand the beautiful game and more importantly the individuals who define it. The anecdotes told throughout were also so detailed and fascinating that I was hooked from beginning to end. A true storyteller in his own right.
I remember seeing Guillem at a young age on revista de la liga and thinking man this guy loves his football (just got to the part where he contradicts this!) and knows a hell of a lot. Great dream teams
Will be shocked if James doesn’t progress and achieve something really special, even more special than this RUclips channel I mean. Such an incredibly bubbly and amazing interviewer and your personality shines through every second you’re on camera. Amazing channel

What a great video Jim. Guillem talks so well and you two have natural chemistry. Also big respect for him being against Brexit and talking about how he wants his club to like the polar opposite of everything it stands for.
I think this might be the best video you (and your editor of course) have ever done. I would love to see maybe a second convo with Guillem in the future.
Loved this James! One little thing... I listen to a lot of your content whilst working and the swoosh effect between displaying images drives me nuts. I'm sure I'm not the only one so might be worth noting.
Some things he said explain everything about the way football is right now. 32:20 is the most eye opening statement for me. No wonder players like Rashford are writing essays on Twitter apologising when they haven't known anything else besides football.
Jim, you forgot the La Liga TV link in description at the time of me writing this :) Amazing interview again Jim. Keep pushing the boundaries EDIT: I see the link there now. Ignore my comment!
Such a great chat James. Wish you could have the ability to put in some video highlights of the players when people are talking about them but I'm guessing copyright would be over that
Great episode as always. Says a lot that Guillem thinks you could really add something to a team in a league such as Biggleswade with the knowledge you consume by doing the fallout and analysis.
Intrigued to see what Balague has to say about us Everton fans. From what I remember there was a massive sense that he was showing blind faith in Benitez and berated Evertonians for disagreeing on Twitter. Ofcourse, the uproar to this might be seen to be an over reaction (leaving bad ratings on his book), however rather than a hatred for Balague I think this was probably a distraction from just how badly we were playing at the time. Will check back in after hearing his side I guess!
I love the series gulliem is a devise guy when it comes to journalism. I get his points on rafa benitez but the everton x rafa link up was never going to work granted injuries played a huge factor however it was a match doomed from the get go. I get gulliem trys to see it from a human side 100% but football is very tribal also any threats or abuse he received from the evertonians is not on.
When he goaded us for months on twitter telling us we were less than intelligent and name calling himself against certain fans of our club (Ped etc) he deserved the backlash don't dish it out if you can't take it
Aw mate this was superb. Incredible interview, good questions, conducted yourself amazingly well. The growth we’ve seen on this channel, both your own personal growth and viewership etc, have been amazing mate. Keep doing what you’re doing. Absolutely incredible.
I think Rafa Benitez is a good man but his appointment as Everton manager was sheer idiocy. We aren't privy to the behind the scenes but his decision making was crazy. He sacked the head of our medical department and rushed players back from injury (still aren't fit now.) Guillem balague came across very biased and insulting in regards to Everton and Benitez.
Guillam Balague is talking nonsense. Marcelino was terrible at Newcastle, and took loads of time off with a broken finger, which is a joke....not all Gullit signings were treated badly, in fact some were treated very well by fans (big Duncan Ferguson, Kevin Gallagher, Nolberto Solano is an absolute Icon, Laurent Charvet, Gavilan).... The truth is Gullit made bad football decisions, and signed flops (Marcelino, Maric, Guivarc'h)
I'm really sorry, I'm sure he's a nice guy but when it comes to Everton, Guillem assumes he knows more than those inside the clubs and its fans. Perhaps he should listen to himself when he says others may know more than you, the fans know exactly what Rafa was like and he almost destroyed the club, for an outsider to come out and say the fans know nothing is just disrespectful and that's why he got the abuse.
@@JamesLawrenceAllcott he chose to attack us don't expect nothing to be said back agreed some comments were not needed and have no place in any form of media but he can't cry about it when he started it keep your mouth shut and it wouldn't of happened
@@JamesLawrenceAllcott feel like you're always going to get a loud minority who take things too far, just like you will with all fan bases. But in the main Everton fans had a right to be angry and tell him where to go, but as I say yes like 5% will take things too far
