Thanks for the video. I was concerned about how the valve functions and its reliability. Your non-narcissistic manner and candid humor get 5 stars IMO.
You sir!! Just made me soo much more confident in buying a cheaper thermostatic adapter!! I literally after watching this ordered the same one in red for basically same price.. i will do the same n go to a parts store and try and match the shitty 170 stat they install for a decent 195-200. Thank you!!
@@RustBeltAuto theres an upgraded part number to the stat you used.. the pin was not crimped into the crown of the stat like yours was.. it looks good! I have a $7 195° stat now

I hated my thermostatic switch. They end up trapping oil in the lines and you end up having lower oil pressure. I even tried adding an extra quart and it would still have less oil pressure when cold.

It looks like a Mocal knockoff. You could probably use their t-stat too. I'm just really cheap.

@@blackincawston I don't know how the factory one works. Does it go to a something that coolant runs through, or is it cooled by air?

In front of the a/c condenser probably.

everything is ok and clean. if the engine has been running for a few minutes, the oil will drip out. I really think the O ring is too small

There is probably a flow restriction. If it is not producing enough volume, the pressure will decrease.
You could also have a problem with it swapping spit. If the pressure, and return is leaking together. Just a thought.
