Mmm refreshing oil.
which dealer do you use for raceworks fittings? I'm struggling to find one with a decent online shop
You guys just wanted to flex that you can write sideways...
I mean Kei Truck is cool but idk if its for me
@@reliquiae9017 no disagreement just not my favorite. Lots of kei truck imports in state's now and seeing to much of it
3:30 totally distracted from Marty by Moog acting like a space invader in the background...
If Moog doesn't have ADD then I don't know who does.
Not a space invader ….. mr squiggle
He's keeping some great moves there, well done.
ELECTRIC SPACE WIZARDDDD
Blow off valve from tipping lmao, what a baller.
xD
I'm doing a marathon of all of your videos and I love how the atmosphere stays the same and the video quality only increases
Jealous. Dang.
Buckle up, its a helluva ride🤙🏻
Dude do the marathon of the Unicorn Circuit that's the real deal.
@@sucharsharma5725 Good idea, that's up next
Moog dancing in the background was priceless
Did not hear a word Marty said.....
Right? Random dancing & profuse innuendo. Classic MCM at its best!
The wiggly arm one killed me.
The should it more often but guests that aren't necessarily going to be in the episode
"Oompa loompa doompety doo
I've got a perfect puzzle for you"
5:49 😂😂😂
After so many years of watching and loving this show I'm so happy their bond has never been lost. MCM just gets better and better.
Never listened to any MCM videos with headphones on before. The sound design in these is pretty good. Noticed the drill on the oil cooler mount was panned all the way left with Marty's voice on the right. Rad.
They are audio engineers. Of course it’s on point 🤘
Car YT: "i bought the cheapest in the universe!!!11!1!"
Martin: hehe my little truck go sututu
Yeah the title won’t get views but that’s not what it’s all about.
@@mightycarmods these videos are a lot more relatable and useful though
@@mightycarmods you guys will forever be some the most legendary OG car RUclipsrs, Cheers 🥂
Honestly love you guys and how your just normal aussie guys keeping it real.

As always, my favourite clip in the intro is Marty holding a multimeter at arms length like he's scanning something haha

It's really a Giger Counter
i love their banter when they're installing the relocated filter. they do this all the time and it's always funny to me.
@@parma-sean You were busting huh lmao
I can't ever watch those parts without laughing my ass off, how can they do that so straight faced?
ALL OIL COOLER DEBATE IN HERE; Do you have one? Do you like them? Race Cars only? Street Cars? Good? Bad? Cool?
Cool Af, no matter the function
i run one but i like to drive my car and my car is a opel tigra a
Don't have one, who needs oil anyway.
I run an after market transmission oil cooler in both my daily and weekend cars and never had an issue with it.
Vx v6 and Vx V8
RX8 here. Factory fitted oil cooler.
For rotaries at least, the oil makes up 30% of the engines cooling system so it's critically important.
loved Moog's space invader moves @4 mins .. also if you're re-locating the oil filter try to mount it vertically ( you'll thank yourself next oil & filter change )
Owning an EJ powered Subaru (filter sits upright) and 4age Corolla (filter lying on its side), I actually prefer the filter lying on its side.
Once the vertical filter starts draining out (the filter stays full but the oil in the galleries from the pickup/to the motor comes out) I have to wait until it stops draining before I finish removing the filter, as it drains all the way down the filter and your hand gets coated if you keep trying to take it off while it drains.
The lip on the top edge of the filter usually means the oil will drain straight out and down into the pan without going right down the body of the filter, as the ring around the top is the lowest part (when mounted on its side). Sure more comes out but I can normally keep undoing it without getting oil on my hand, don't have to wait for it to finish draining.
Ohhhh so it drains out for oil changes. Hmmm. Never thought of that before. How much does one of those hold?
@@the_real_superstickman .. true , i usually just punch a hole in the bottom of my filter & leave it to drain for 5 mins .. but refitting means i can pre-fill the filter & screw it on no mess ( well , less mess )
I too like a vertically mounted oil filter to pre-fill the filter to the top and fit it. One less volume space for the oil pump to fill before it’s pressurising oil to the areas it needs to be at with a running engine.
So if it were me, I would vertically mount the oil filter on a remote filter setup.
Thanks for being around 13 years. I've been sick with Covid and I've been watching all your videos again starting from the beginning! Only thing that gives me hope and motivation to do more in life when I'm better! Thank you 😊.

Marty screwing MOOGs nuts:
"MOOG: Aaa, I can feel you got in
Marty: Oh, really?
MOOG: Yeah. I can't see it but I can feel it
Marty: I'm twisting it clockwise...
MOOG: It's getting harder...
Marty: Oh yeah, it's tighting up"
I'm dead😅
Marty "Are we building a Porsche?", Moog " We're building an air cooled performance truck". Bellissimo 👌
Here in the UK, it's Monday morning, there is an imaginary fuel shortage causing numpties to panic buy fuel. Traffic is backed up outside every fuel station. It's pissing down with rain. Listening to Marty talk about the length of his hose whilst Moog twerks in the background just made my Monday a whole lot better.
Sun is out here but no fuel in a 20 mile radius. Stupidity epidemic shows no sign of slowing down. Good job MCM are here !
@@foamdataservices it rained up north for an hour straight. Monsoon levels of rain. Then like a light switch it stopped and the sun came out. As for the fuel, the shortages are not affecting Shell garages. Other franchises are affected.
Love this old-school MCM style and objective videos! Also, Im happy to say that re-watching 3:30-4:40 was a pleasure :P keep being you Moog, sorry I didnt listen to you the first time Marty.
Cheers from Canada! Hope things arent getting too crazy down there fellas
I honestly love how MCM is as much an auditory experience as it is a visual experience.
Moog those moves were magnificent Mate!
Moog you're a trip! I fucking love it! Don't ever change!
Watching videos from 13 years ago and Moog is still the same then as he is now. I love it!

I had a dream last night Marty from mighty car mods removed the oil filter from my car as it was running, held it up in the air and said "this ones full". I take this as some kind of a sign.
For sure, your subconscious is communicating with you
Nik & Richard from BOM would be proud. Finally starting with the brackets. No CAD design though. You've got to learn!
Love how you can tell what season of the year it is by how they dress. I guess it’s starting to warm up down there.
My wife and I were just saying the same thing last episode!
12:00 Overkill? are you kidding me. I literally had a guy who was desperate with his cars transmission overheating in heavy traffic on this forum I'm on. I told him an aftermarket cooler like this would be an option but I've never seen one installed until now. I NEEDED this video one m8
It took about a month, but I got my black/red mug and the towel delivered today, SWEET!!! All the way to Kentucky, U.S.
Handwriting with your left hand, vertically but actually left to right... Downright ingenious!
Couple of nuts! Man The way you guys do those sketches is just next level! Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to content creator school!
even if im not into these vehicles its all ways a treat to watch you guys since you personalities are so fun to watch and your content always brings a smile to my face because it reminds my of the good old days of youtube, no click bait, no publicity stunts or a horsepower arms race just to get views and attention, just 2 buddies working on what theyre passionate about. cant wait to see moog modify the subaru because i have something similar^^
I consume all my entertainment on RUclips but honestly nothing brings me more joy than a Mighty Car Mods video. I remember watching when they were doing it in their's mom's driveway no pun intended
Love those Bahco wide mouth shifters. Best shifting spanner ever made if you ask me.
I like them with the reversible jaws
i'm looking to do a similar modification to my jeep with the 4.0L inline 6, as everyone knows those engines run hella hot, so i'm going to do an oil filter relocation kit and cooler when i pull the engine to rebuild it and the transmission, def a worthwhile upgrade for any 4x4 or even a vehicle thats heavy and needs a little extra cooling to make up the difference
the kei truck is looking amazing, and moog acting like a space invader in the background was hilarious, stay safe out there guys
Absolutely a freaking bloody awesome K truck, and hell yes I love it, great dancing in the background Moog, congrats on getting your truck to were you want it Marty
100% advocate for oil coolers on track cars, even if you aren't really seeing issues with the oil specifically
Threw a $130 ebay kit in my falcon drift car, car used to overheat the coolant like an absolute champ even in cold temps. Threw an oil cooler on (with a thermostat in the sandwich plate) and haven't seen temps over half the gauge in aaaages
you guys bring a smile each time. another great project. keep it coming!
Only needed the last 30 seconds of that video...... Dose noises whilst tipping are amazing!!!!!!!
Mad. You guys do things I wish I could. You are flat out the best channel I watch. Cheers mates.
Moog in the background of Marty’s tool explanation was excellent!
First day of holidays from the workshop. What a way to start my time off!!!!
glad you guys are healthy and still building stuff
Neat little kei truck. Perfect for around the house materials runs. Small and out of the way when not needed.
6:00... absolutely howling LOL... I hope to see you guys go for a long long time!
I cant handle it anymore, you guys are both hilarious and filthy 🤣🤙
Such a fun project! All we're missing now is a tuning day and some power figures
5:58 great scene guys
I actually didn't know strayan patriotism was a thing until I started watching your videos. Good on you mates from down under.

Love the sneaky OG track when starting the job, nice classic touch 👌
And here I thought you were just gonna slap on an adapter plate straight to the cooler and call it done. So good to see it done properly (as usual) 👌
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddd !!
Yes, they are good glubs Martin, I use mine all the time.
Honestly all the back ground thing i have seen is so good. Nearly every episode i think.
So glad I watched to the very end... Achievement unlocked 🔓
Xbox player in the house.
Mental Wee Bus Lads. I saw one in Saltcoats Scotland the exact same well minus the wheels Turbo and intercooler but same colour it's a cool wee thing Love it.Keep up the Awesome job chaps love the show.
Wonderful back to the roots video style, total nostalgia.
I will never tire of your blow-by-blow descriptions of nuts being tightened.
I hate to be that guy, but:
1. Good oil thermostats don't completely cut off oil flow when closed, like the Improved Racing Tstat in the vid. They will flow about 10% of the oil thru the cooler when closed, so the oil cooler doesn't "shock" the engine with super cool oil once it finally fully opens.
2. Oil cooler cores don't have much structural support, and will succumb to various stressing over time. Bad day when your oil cooler decides it doesn't want to contain your oil anymore. I've mounted external cooler cores at each corner with individual mounts before, and the mounts ate (cracked) 3 cores because of vibrations and torsional stressing. Some sort of strong framework for the core is recommended, and then the mounting points attached to that framework. That way the cooler can focus on cooling, and not worry about falling apart.
3. Personally I don't think it's common knowledge, that you should NEVER solid mount a cooler to a chassis or engine. Look at radiator mounts, they're almost always loosely mounted on some sort of rubber vibration isolators. When they're mounted solid, every bump in the road and every high frequency rev from the engine is transfered into the core. Over time the core will weaken and fail. These risks are multiplied when the vehicle sees track and off roading use.
Not meant as a jab, just an FYI! 🤘
Fun!
Love the kei truck. Can't wait to see more off-road adventures in it.
I was planning on fitting an oil cooler maybe using the mishimoto m22x1.5 sandwich plate with thermostat so this upload is handy 👍
The fucking commentary under the car is comedy gold Jesus I cried "I can feel you in their" "oh yea it's tightening up"
all it needs now is a scoop for the intercooler and a truck type intake snorkel, a mini KW intake would look sweet sticking up above the cab but would need to use square or oval tube to get the intake pipe to fit between the the cab and tray
This is perfect timing as I needed to know how to fit all of this on my van.
That's a really cool little truck. Small but mighty, and useful too!
Yeah I wish we had stuff like this in USA
Stutututu on the tip take off was awesome
A little tape around the hose where you’re going to cut helps a ton with the frays.
Looking forward to see what's next. You guys would be close to wrapping it up for the year. A part of me wants to see the Gemini but also modding the jimny would be epic as well
Marty screwing MOOGs nuts:
"MOOG: Aaa, I can feel you got in

Enjoyed the thermostat fitting. Finbar Saunders from Viz comic. Keep up the good work.
My 1968 MK1 Mini Cooper S has a factory oil cooler. They were fitted before that, back when the top spec car was built to race out of the showroom
Moog in the background of Marty's tool explanation had me in tears
You guys have come such a long way. Good job! Love your videos lol
This is actually really useful for any car that'll get driven hard
Air-cooled heads & cylinders PLUS air-cooled oil. Fan driven air in both cases, the air flow directed by the fan shroud.
5:57 Best friend's kinda conversation, was good fun laugh
"ahhh i can feel you going in"
OK, probably the right time to suggest. Mitsubishi ASX 4WD EVO lift kit versus Kei truck. JDM battle extrodinaire. Do it. I run a ASX Aspire 4WD and I have taken it offroad and it performs OK. Lift it, swap the CVT with a 6 sp, turbo it, lift it, and challenge it.
That dose at the end, love it👌
Your all’s bits when doing ‘perverted’ if you wasn’t watching and only listening would be dirty is absolutely hilarious every single time 😂😂
Find a hood scoop that'll fit on that intercooler and fabricate a way to mount it. Channel some air into that badboy
5:49 love the team work 🤣😂
I love this bizarre content and can't wait to see what you've in store for us next!
I love that little truck, but visually I cant help but feel like its missing an air-dam under the front bumper. Nothing too crazy, just a little black surround to make the front feel more grounded. What a mad little truck, I super want one!
This is so awesome!🤣 Sutututu while tipping feels like a thing I'd think about when I was 5, and that's why I love the show! Such happiness and good energy from a little k truck! Now, where's that E30?🙌🏻
17:09 - this is the best reason for all these mods!
That’s what life is all about. Just the joy of doing it because you can.
I was looking forward for a Bosozoku oil cooler fit, still very interesting tutorial as always I'll watch until the end because it's maaad
4:13 is the most epic scene i've seen on MCM's channel since the turbos and temples episode 😂😂😂😂
Dat Oldschool music. Love it.
3:25 Full Disrespected Marty when Moog decides to play space invaders on his own off camera just to the right of the screen 🤣
As always another great episode the truck is cool too it seems fuel is only going up as well we need to learn how to manufacture gas ⛽️ let’s do it
Two other ways to build up oil pressure:
If your car is old enough you can just disconnect the entire ECU and crank the starter.
If your key isn't glued together you can temporarily take out the immobiliser module and crank it with the immobiliser engaged which cuts fuel/ignition as well.
Or just pull a fuse, spark or fuel.
Loving the classic MightyCarMods BGM!
Love it lads and the dancing in the background was priceless
Love the old music. Nostalgia.
the best part was Marty describing the hardware needed to accomplish the task
Can't wait for you to take this truck🚍 to scotty , and unlock its full potential🔥 , great Vid as always 👨🔧, you guys always make me smile heaps 🕺
Wish we saw more shenanigans of u two just enjoying life maybe a vacation video man
Love the vintage MCM tunes
seeing Moog write upside down because he's left-handed is one of those things that completely broke my brain until I thought about it and it actually makes a lot of sense
I just made a toasted smoked salmon bagel w veggie cream cheese, Bermuda onion, tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese. It was slightly more delicious than Moog is crazy. It fell far short of Marty's patience though.
I will try to do better next time as Moog is a bit of a moving goal post on the whackadoodle scale. I'm not sure I'll surpass Marty's patience with the specials. I do Ike a challenge though, so it may go turf in the future.
5:50, its in nearly every video and Im never disappointed.
