This piece is primarily in 7/8 and led by Naghmeh on the daf, a traditional Persian style frame drum with accompanying percussion by other guest artists on an array or world instruments.

Asheville Percussion Festival is produced each year by the non-profit organization, Asheville Rhythm, under the artistic direction of River Guerguerian.
The theme for the 2018 Asheville Percussion Festival was "Celebrating Women in Rhythm" and all of the headlining guest artists were women who have diligently pioneered to excellence in their respective musical genres.

Anyone knows where ( City ) this event took place ? It looks like these ladies musicians were representing their individual culture. I know the lady dressed in black, standing, is Iranian.
This is an annual event that takes place in Asheville, North Carolina, in the USA. Yes, each artist brings the voice of their ethnic heritage and/or their lineage of study, then they weave those different traditions together in ways that are mutually inclusive and supportive, with each having the opportunity to shine.
