Omg!! Thank YOU for the Video..I was able to do it by myself....the dealership wanted to charge me $400 for a new one. I guess I now have $385 to spend on something else! Thanks Again.
Thanks a million, My did the exact thing and I was ready to take the fob to dealer to get a whole nother one ,I followed the link to the case and ordered got it super fast and it works .Thanks for the share you saved me hundreds 😊
This is a great fix. Much better idea than I have seen anywhere else. But how can I be sure that the replacement fob I purchase for my 2013 Town and Country is the same size as the one that came with the van?
Thanks for the video - Same goes for the similar Lincoln fobs as well 2011-2016 with the same structure. Replaced both fobs on my 2011 MKX with this. Besides your demonstration another sign of a need to do this procedure is when just touching the fob the car locks and unlocks quickly, or alarm goes off for no reason. The disks can slip off and move around to affect the function of another button as well. Thought I was looking at $$$ for replacing both fobs and programming at the dealership - instead I have a perfectly working set of fobs that look brand new, retained the Lincoln logo back and emergency key for $30.
I think I smashed my internal button on both my remotes due to bad design--as the tiny metal button is stuck. (Hyundai Santa Fe '07) Am I screwed or is there a fix for this?
Hey MacT, Love you videos and I am on the facebook group.... My key fob isnt working, none of the buttons but my push button start inside the car works and detects the key. I thought it was the battery or the buttons failed, I bought the shell per your video, changed the shell and battery but it still doesn't work but my remote start in the car works, any ideas?
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. I have a 2013 Ford edge limited awd. I have a exhaust leak and when I took it to the company, they said that I have to replace the whole syst6which wasnt covered under warranty. I researched it and it's a common problem. Any recommendations? Thanks
Fast forward five years... the info is still good, and the fob is on sale for $10.99 now. I and my Ford Flex thank you!
