I'm new to the idea of purchasing a pocket gimbal for my video needs. I noticed in your post-production colour correction that you applied a stock LUTs from DJI and then added your own tweaks. I'm curious-can the modified DJI LUTs be saved for future videos with similar lighting, building a library, so to speak? By the way, I’ve spent several days watching various RUclips videos on this topic, but after discovering your channel and appreciating your comprehensive way of making the difficult look easy, I’m now really excited about achieving professional videography results on my own-something I wouldn’t have thought possible just a day ago. Thank you! 👍🏻
Yes, the modified DJI LUTs can absolutely be saved with customizations for future use. These can be saved as new .CUBE files. Depending upon which video editing software you use, this process will vary a bit. Thank you. I really appreciate your feedback!
EXCELLENT VIDEO. This is really the only video needed to use the DJI OP3. Thank you. I learned a lot. You are very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. God bless!
This is one of the best descriptions about videography I've seen. I usually take stills but have purchased the Osmo Pocket 3. This will be very helpful to me. You have a new subscriber. Thank you.
Great question. The HEVC codec does require a bit more resources. A newer Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 or higher (not more than 3 generations old) or an M-series Mac should be able to handle it. Having a decent GPU will also help if you’re using software that will enable GPU acceleration.
@@GreatDayForAHikethanks! I’ve got a Pocket 1, but not sure I want to spend the amount needed for a P3, especially if it also means having to upgrade my pc and software too. So I’m leaning towards just going to a P2, in order to get the wider FOV and slightly better dynamic range and low light performance.
@@GreatDayForAHike the hdr mode on paper sounds good and of course the trailer is misleading.. clearly the hdr forces excessive fake sharpness, destroying the image completly, and the LOG mode has ghost trailing when ur forced to blast up the saturation in post, even wen blasted up to max saturation, its still too low saturation... Only good this is the max lens 2.0
Excellent video. But... Why film almost every "smooth" shot in slomo ? Of course that does half of the job. Smooth but normal speed is much more difficult to achieve and most of the cinematic shots are not in slomo. Do you have a special technique for that ?
If you're shooting with DLog M, so you know you want / need post processing anyway, I'd always film in 4:3, as it gives you the possibility to adjust your 16:9 result. Filming outdoor on the go it's very hard to hit the perfect frame, especially vertically.
Hello do you know how to fix this or u can’t so when I record for like 1 min or more it turn black but it’s still recording u know how when u leave your phone on and don’t click it it cut off it’s like that but it’s still recording it’s not bad but I don’t wanna keep clicking the GoPro screen 😊
Yes, you’ll want to adjust the setting in the general settings that controls when the screen goes dark after a certain duration of inactivity on the touchscreen.
I really like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, especially we can shoot slow motion smoothly.
Yes, it is a great camera with so many great features. Slow motion is definitely one of those great features.
Excellent ! Very intelligent thanks for sharing. God bless
Thank you! Appreciate it.

You went above and beyond to make his video. Thank you very much. I learned a lot.

Gotta ask, how did you get that awesome audio? It sounds like a Sure SM 7B audio sound?
Thank you. The audio was captured using a hot shoe-mounted Sony ECM-M1 shotgun mic on my camera.
@@GreatDayForAHike thank you 😊
Brilliant, Thanks for thinking about what we the viewers want to see. RUclips at its very best , lots learnt and will keep referring back Thank you
You’re welcome and I appreciate your feedback!
Very informative video. I needed it ! THX !
You’re welcome!
What kind of processing power are you going to need on your PC/Mac in order to deal with 10-bit video (compared to the 8-bit Pocket 2)?

Lead up to Gopro Hero 13, will you do a predictions video?
Important year, as Gopro is way way behind!
Yes, in fact, I will be sharing some thoughts soon in a video on what I expect from GoPro this year. Thanks!
@@GreatDayForAHike it seemed the 12 last year was a 1cm step ford, while the compititions took 2 full steps
The 12 was certainly incremental at best.
I own the 12 and like it but I also like big leaps in innovation and the 12 wasn’t that.

Where is the link to the LUT?

I’ll get it added to the description as well. Thanks!

@@GreatDayForAHike thank u so much 🙏
But if your end result is going to be in 24fps mostly and you're shooting in 60fps, then the sound gonna be awfull right?
The sound will be okay as long as you drop it on your timeline without slowing it down. The footage should automatically conform to 24fps.
If you want to slow 60fps down on a 24fps, then the audio would be slowed too.
I see no diff between 2 and 3 in good light
Serious questions why are you always in the forest in all your videos
I practically live in the forest. I love to hike and be in the outdoors.
Because he buried a body 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for the information i love your content 🙏
