When i moved to Rhode Island up in 2011 an Old Timer (he's no longer with us) took me blue crap fishing on the shore.. his set up and rig was a chicken drumstick tied onto a 10 - 15 ft rope and toss out into the sea. Once the crab took the bait we had to pull the string back in super slow one hand at a time, when the crab is my the foot, the second man has to hurry up and scoop it into the net.
