They need to translate from Japanese to a more understandable script in English. I have these tuners on one of my guitars and they are great. However, the instructions that came with them are difficult to understand. They helped for sure, but the sentence construction and word choice were pretty weird to a native English speaker. Just my opinion, but I'm probably not alone. They make the whole operation more complicated than it needs to be. Thanks for posting.
I think someone over thought this system. Super frustrating to change strings! Difficult to unlock! If you don't have a dime your hooped! If I hadn't paid so much for them I would have just tossed them. So I cut the posts off and use them like regular machine heads.
having a lot of problems with the hex adjustment screws being way too tight from factory. i basically am having to turn them so hard that the 1.5mm hex key is actually breaking. i had this happen on one in a set. ordered a replacement hex and tuner from gotoh and the new one is having the exact same issue. don't waste your time with these. great idea but very poor execution.
Help, my gotoh locking tuners don't have a hole to insert the Allen key to alter the height. Currently the post is too short and when I put the washer back on it covers the hole for the string
