Speaking of animal cruelty in horror ( which can’t deal with in any forms of media). Last November I went to watch Thanksgiving it’s a slasher. One of the victims had a cat and me and my cousin were like don’t hurt the cat! The slasher ended up giving the kitty his dinner and the whole theatre awed at that scene

I just finished Project Hail Mary and I really really loved it. I think it helped that I listened to the audiobook bc the narrator was very passionate during the super sciencey stuff. I don’t know if I would have been able to get through all the technical stuff if I had just read it

I was introduced to a meditation on insight timer where you pretend you are at the beach and you close your eyes and when you breathe in the tide comes in and when you breathe out - the tide goes out. I still do that meditation to this day on my own. I find it very relaxing when I’m feeling anxious or just need a mental reset 🤍

I remember when the movie was released! My mom took me…I was young but can’t remember my age…and just about the very first scene a leg falls to the bottom of the ocean lol. My mom jerked me up and went to demand her money back lol she was terrified.

I loved hearing your Riley Sager ratings! I've read every one but the new one, so I had to fast forward through that part to be surprised. Final Girls is the most recent one I finished and it would be low on the list for me. Lock Every Door in the number one spot. The House Across the Lake was the first one I read by him and that might be high up there for me too.

I am a ghosty horror girl, and I am very anti gore horror and I also refuse to watch anything where animals get hurt in. My heart can't deal with it.
I have not read any Riley Sagers books but I have a few downloaded but I think I will start with Middle of the night so I won't be as disappointed by it lol
Pearl is so good, one of my favs worth giving a rewatch, her acting is incredible at the end! If you like A24 I highly recommend giving Love Lies Bleeding a shot, I think its up your ally and not toooo gory but definitely disturbing and also in the 70-80s vibe territory, like rocky! Also pearl does have some animal related stuff in it... Vegan for the animals here too lol

I love Dr Praegers burgers! I've been eating the "Drive Thru" variety but I love them all! I'm not vegan but I'm gluten free and it is SO hard to find a good gluten free veggie burger!

Home before dark by Riley sager was like that for me. It gets a 4.1 on good reads so a lot of people clearly enjoyed it but the main character drove me nuts and it was just boring up until the end! That one didn’t do it for me. I didn’t even pick up survive the night after home before dark bc it sounded just as bad lol and based on your ranking I was right 😂
The last time I lied and final girls are so far my favorite (The only one left is still on my TBR shelf😂) but also, these were the two that started my Riley Sager obsession!

Since you like Bridgerton I need to recommend my favorite spicy fantasy book!! It’s called How Does It Feel by Jeneane O’Riley. It takes place in the human and fairy realm and has an amazing twist at the end that makes you yearn so hard for the next book (which just came out!!). It’s dark, has a forbidden love theme, & includes a scientific perspective on plants and such! I’m on the second book now and it’s soo good, my fav series!
