    thank you: excellent explanation of "push the handle for the press",.
    My swing thought to get to the correct impact position is to "skip a rock on the water",. (heel in front of the toe), however my big miss is the HOOK!!! and when it happens it is a double every-time. I will try the push the handle to see if will increase my control of the toe though impact. cheers,.

      Thanks, Martin. I love the skip the rock visual! Yes, keeping the handle leading keeps heel ahead of the toe, also feeling like the trailing edge of the club is hitting the ground instead of the leading edge will fix hooks. Give it a try

      @@claws_effect nice! I can visualize that and it makes sense! Will provide feedback after my round on Saturday.

    Great content, thank you. Do you have a video on grip size impacting the grip, or are you assuming everyone has the proper grip size for their hands.

      Appreciate it! This is a great question! We have a chart that we recommend people follow for grip size. Shoot us a DM.

    Awesome video. Sometimes when I work on this downward pressure on mats, I get some pain in the pinky pad area of the lead hand from ground impact. Any thoughts on how to mitigate this? I don’t want it to mentally block me from applying that downward pressure. Thanks!

      Appreciate it! I would say try to feel like you are "thumping" more of the trailing edge of the golf club and less of leading edge. This will shallow out impact and get rid of some of that "dig". Of course tho join the Discord and send swing to confirm. Thanks! -Ethan

    This is a great addition to what you are teaching. I have 2 questions. The tilting of the head back a little. How long do you feel like you keep that? I watch pros and they seem to keep lookin either down or a little back for a long way in the downswing. Secondly, I am not getting the gear effect action you are talking about. Besides having the right grip and pushing with the read hand, is this also predicated on keeping that lead arm locked out for a long time in the downswing? Thank you. Great Video.

      We like the idea of feeling like you are draining water out of your trail ear all the way till you finish. Eyes can follow the ball, but the head must remain tilted. Secondly, the gear effect occurs when the trail arm goes from bent to straight, and the cup in the wrist is applying maximum pressure to the side of the handle. You are correct tho, this gear only happens if the lead hand is consistently pushing and lead arm is "braced" at impact. This gives you something to hit against creating the gear effect.

      @@claws_effect interesting. do you feel like the lead arm is pulling at all? or just being pushed by the rear hand. Hope that makes sense. I do feel like my lead arm pulls. not sure if that is the correct way to do it.

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@jawjuh1005 yes, there is def some pulling going on but I would say its mostly just redirecting the push pressure that you used in the backswing.

    How does this produce the divest in front?

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  5 месяцев назад

      Great Question. Divot in front of the ball is controlled by handle being forward of the club at impact. Because the palms are leading the fingers at the inside part of the ball this is forcing the clubhead to work down and around the handle creating a descending blow and forward shaft lean. Hope this makes sense.

    All this pushing down and out will only result in too much right to left movement of the ball or worse, shanking. I like your thoughts on the grip, but all this pushing down and out in the hitting area has to retard the natural squaring up of the clubhead during the release interval.

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  5 месяцев назад +1

      I understand your concern but we are in now way recommending hands pushing out. Hands are pushing down and forward. The only outward movement is the clubhead due to its positioning relative to the handle at pre-impact and even that isn't until after the ball has been struck.

      Yes, hands are always pushing down and forward!!!@@claws_effect

      Sorry guys, but I have to disagree. If a golfer has to do any pushing or manipulating of the club through impact, they have done something wrong earlier in the swing.

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@StephenR-nf9wb the only thing that you are pushing against is the handle and that is to control the club at impact. If you don't think the best players in the world are applying maximum pressure to the handle at this point then you are highly
      mistaken.
