- In this video, we walk you through how to activate, load, and release your trail hand properly in the golf swing. Most people think the trail hand is along for the ride in the swing and that couldn't be further from the truth.
I just did this as an ADD on to the swing I am working on. Absolutely insane the distance I am hitting the ball. I like the comment that this "helps" the body. It fixes SO much. Balance, you don't get weird alignments (based on compensations).... This is a phenomenal video. Great stuff!
Good work, Jeffrey! Appreciate the kind words. Our students are feeling the same way. Unreal results and simple to conceptualize! Keep it up.
Nice video guys, thank you for this release explanation.
Thanks, Luis! Hope it helped! 🙏
Great info! Made super advancements in my swing and distance. This is a game changer. Very unusual feeling at first but as I get more comfortable with this I mental look to setting my fingers back which gives me a shorted backswing instead of my old longer back swing with no finger and palm set.
Thanks, Dan! Super impressed with the progress you've made thus far 👏 Keep stretching those hands to help with grip b
You guys are pure mint. Love your channel. 😀
Thanks!
Love it!
Key to distance, consistency and control! Great video!
Thanks, Fred! Just trying to keep it simple
Great! Do you apply the "push down" with the left hand to the driver as well? I thought we need to be wider with the driver.
Yep, same push down with maybe slightly more width 👍
“So loaded” - awesome video, guys. Content is always so helpful.
Question: any difference in pressure between trail palm/lead thumb knuckle when doing baseball grip? Since the trail pinky adds some space between, the palm seems to be slightly above the knuckle. I can post this question in the discord if that helps! Thanks y’all!
Great question. Yes, please post in Discord with a vid/pic of your grip so we can better assess. Thanks!
Well done boys.....the secret is all in the palm
Thanks, Mike! Driving the trail palm ahead of the fingers is the 🔑
Do you guys not mind a cupped lead wrist at the top of the back swing?
Great Question! Nope, we don't mind at all and in fact, we recommend it over a bowed lead wrist. We have a video coming tomorrow on this topic. 👍👍
It’s the hardest club and creates the most bad habits with over swinging ?
Fair points. We just feel its the club that most people need help with and will derive the most value from content focused around fixing it. 👍
7:05, when i look at adams scott's swing, his trail wrist is not cupped at finish, it straightens shortly after impact and slightly bows as it rises above his left shoulder
Why use the longest club to start with ?
Bc we started with the most "Compact" prior to it. 😉
on trail hand claws are a 1 presssure .. what pressure would u guess on trail palm over lead thumb?
A LOT lol that connection point is everything in golf so we always recommend creating that mold properly
