When i got home,i explained to my dad what i did and he beat the crap out of me. But the next day, when my dad woke up and opened the door, outside my house was a brand new car. We all cried especially me, because the car was from the electricity company,they were there to cut off the electricity, my dad beat the crap out of me again
One thing I want to say is choose CSE only if you are genuinely intrested in it, which majorly are not. I also thought that I am intrested in CSE but here after studying CS101 in IIT-G, I am thankful to God that I didn't choose CSE in NIT because CSE as a course is very different from programming. One of the finest Coder of our Campus got very low marks in that exam and Placement don't work in that manner which is told to JEE-Aspirants. Still I would say talk to two kind of persons, one who is just graduated and one who has an experience of 3 years in Tech Industry and then decide Branch vs College.
Dear sir , I got 96.49 percentile in jee mains 2023 with 40300 rank . My jee adv. Was not so good . so I started searching for good nits . I am getting metallurgy in nit rourkela ,civil in nit krukshetra , mechanical in nit durgapur , civil in nit calicut and these branches in lower nits too according to previous year data .on 28 may I gave comedk in which I got 4260 rank and I would be getting cs at Ramaiya institute of technology in Bangalore.I also gave gave bitsat 1 attempt in May and I got about 170 marks out of 390 and I would be getting civil at bits Pilani according to previous year data . I am currently preparing for bits 2 attempt which is on 21 June. I hope I would score good . BUT IN CASE I WOUN'T , then what should I choose BITS OR NIT ? I am totally confused. Please guide me 🙏 .Hoping for your response 🙏
Guys, just relax. Whatever comes your way, accept it with folded hands. I know it will be very difficult for those at the edge cases. But otherwise, everyone should accept the result outcome in a great spirit. For those who will go to IIT, college, ranks and branches will vanish from day 2 of the college. For those who could not make it unfortunately, there is always a next time (droppers) or great colleges (NITs,, IIITs, etc).

right now at mech in coep, i would say consider your financial situation. if you happen to be financially weak go ahead for cs or atleast IT.however if you can go for master's abroad go for some core like ENTC or Mech.The thing is, changes happen quite slow in core allowing you to adapt unlike cs.

Can anybody give me a suggestion I am Really confused I wanted to choose CS I am really interested in automation, operating systems and programming which I can get in these various branches like cs,AI,IT but the problem is i am getting nit kurukshetra IT and IIT bhilali mechatronics. I wanted to take mechatronics for two reasons iit tag and the fact that robotics is a subset of mechatronics so that automation and those things come here too but since this is a new branch and I don't know that much about this branch it will contain a high risk but I can get the iit tag. I am wondering is this the right decision to make?
I think IITD & IITB are equally good but anyone may please clarify why IITB is the first choice among high rankers whereas Statistics shows that 1. IITD is ahead in no. of students getting more than 1.0 cr. package in all the recent years. 2. IITD is ahead in Startup and Entirepreneur culture. 3. IITD is ahead in terms of UPSC Civil Services preparation facilities. Further I think that IITB is ahead of IITD in terms of Fest (Mood Indigo), masti & co-curricular activities as it is in Mombay City to little extent but these parameters should not be the choice of high ranker. So, some strong points may be there for the reason that IITB is ahead of IITD which I don't know. So, I request if anyone knows about these points please share for better understanding.

If you're interested in Civil , go for IITP . Else , go for ECE . If you want a better environment than NIT and can go to BITS . Go for it . Hopefully you know your priorities
My advance exam was screwed up so badly bcs entire May month I was writing one or the other college entrance exam like APMCET, TSMCET,PERA,AMRITA, VITEEE, COMEDK due to these i wasn't able to concentrate on advance , the reason to share this is not always all the factors are on your side sometimes even after good preparation things cannot take place accordingly nd most of the these entrance exams which i wrote i I didn't get satisfactory ranks so it even more depressed me nd i started questioning my capabilities that when i'm not able to perform well in these easy exams then would i be able to do well in advance and i completely lost my self esteem nd my advance went really bad :((

Go for partial drop as second drop is very risky u won't b eligible for iit bits iisc iiser n many pls don't do in impulsive way.. And also u never know how tables can turn wht if u prepare hard but something happens I got ill before my second drop exam n now I'm left with very less options ...currently take whatever u getting and prepare Dedicatedly for jee main it will b good

My advance exam was screwed up so badly bcs entire May month I was writing one or the other college entrance exam like APMCET, TSMCET,PERA,AMRITA, VITEEE, COMEDK due to these i wasn't able to concentrate on advance , the reason to share this is not always all the factors are on your side sometimes even after good preparation things cannot take place accordingly nd most of the these entrance exams which i wrote i I didn't get satisfactory ranks so it even more depressed me nd i started questioning my capabilities that when i'm not able to perform well in these easy exams then would i be able to do well in advance and i completely lost my self esteem nd my advance went really bad :((

It won’t affect placements at all at the end it’s your personal choice
Go for partial drop as second drop is very risky u won't b eligible for iit bits iisc iiser n many pls don't do in impulsive way.. And also u never know how tables can turn wht if u prepare hard but something happens I got ill before my second drop exam n now I'm left with very less options ...currently take whatever u getting and prepare Dedicatedly for jee main it will b good
