Two of the 4 bikes I have are 6V. The 1974 CB125S and the CM185T Twinstar. CB125S is kick start only. The Twinstar is electric and kick. I won't own a bike without a kick start for a back up or primary starting option. Cheers My Northern Friend! Sean~
The Rupp? Lmao.....that's a good idea. I've decided I'll power it with a Predator 6.5hp. Just need to get the engine torque converter assembly and chains and it'll be a rider. But there are more pressing things on the plate right now. It's been hanging in the same place for the past 5 years lol. Patience! hehe Cheers my Friend! Zip~
good video again as always .....this the 10 year annaversy? yet.......its been ten long years.......... it's cool up there.....it finally dropped the temp down here been too hot for too long...."felon" trees that's funny but the neck pain is a rough time.....my Dad was a lumberjack in his youth....westcost
Yep...Felling more than 3-4 trees in a day and I'm toast. I knew better, but it was a one or none day. It cooled down here too finally. Although I'd have preferred it stay in the 70's a bit longer. Cheers Donald! Zip~
Thanks to your help from this video I was able to get my Dad's old bike going. I see that you put new mufflers on it. What are they and where did you get them? I really like them!
Hi, was just thinking about the missing ground wire that you eliminated during the diode installation... Could that be the issue you had with the dimming timing ? Enjoy all your videos, keep up the good work!
Turns out, since the condenser is remotely located and not on the points plate it self, that false positive is normal. Great eye there Dave! The book (official Honda Shop Manual) states to use a separate battery, or the results will be as you saw....dimming light instead of it going out. So it was my oversight. When I did it correctly, the result, surprisingly, was the same....the light just dimmed. Disconnecting the Stator wires allowed for the light to go out. But....all of that was for not because the points them selves are bad. So although I can get a low end idle spark, it misses wildly above 2,000 rpm. Cheers Dave, and again, great catch! Zip~
I've whittled it down to bad points and carb issues. Haven't been out to the shop in a few days. Trying to get this damn neck to shape up. Cheers Brother! Zip~
Hello, really nice video, i have the CM200T and i have just stripped it, do you have any idea where i could find the wiring diagram because i want to wire it again. Thank you!
@@missfixitCanada it's been painted and I have bought the wheels, I just don't have the time to put it together yet, if you want any help with the manuals I can send it to you, there is a really nice forum that is very helpful and has many manuals for Honda bikes
Hi I have a 1980 twinstar and im about to put a new wiring harness in because the wiring was messed up bad when I got it. It kept heating the coil pack up so hot it would melt. Do you happen to have a full wire color diagram to make it a little easier to get done and be sure. I've look everywhere online and disnt know if you would happen to know
Hello Zippo I have a cm 185 T hardtail bobber that I’m working on and need help making a wiring harness for it any help would be appreciated. I have little experience wiring motorcycles and I’m not sure where to start..
Wow Justin....that's a lot to cover. Your best bet is to invest in a Mechanics Manual which will have a full wiring diagram. Beyond that, you've got a long road ahead of you to properly wire the engine and lights. Best of luck. Zip~
Can you help me out. I want to buy a Honda cb 125 twin but in my country there is no parts for it. Can i just use some parts of the other Hondas 125cc? Would they match?
Scrambler Cycle on line, but many other web sights have them. There are universal coils just about everywhere you look and that's what I used here. Zip!
The points setting process varies depending on the bike. Your best bet is to do a Google Search for your model and year of bike + points setting and all the information you could need will be in the search results. Zip~
Nice work. Great to see that she runs so good. The 6 volts things amazes me as i said before. Good for you.

Love those ole Hondas Zip! I had a '73 440 & a '78 550 both were really a lotta fun to work on & ride.
I had a 73 CB350. Loved it.
Good stuff Zip. Hope your neck gets better soon. You should call your mini bike HILLBILLY😃

ZippoVarga yup I know there's more important things believe me I've been picking away at mine for a couple years now to many other things to get done
Excellent vid zip, some very handy tips on the connections saves getting the soldering gun out and looks like factory.
Can go either way, but this way retains the stock appearance even though the rectifier it self has a smaller footprint. Cheers Martin! Zip~
Runs very smooth.
At idle, it does. I still have to address a couple ignition related issues. Then it should be a great runner. We'll see! Cheers Moe! Zip~
Nice clean bike. Looked like a yellow top’s box on the bench

Its running and sounds good that's a start.
Great idea, Zip. Thanks!!
Glad I could share it Mr.A! Zip~

Actually, they were already installed on the bike when I purchased it. So I couldn't tell you. My apologies. Zip~
very nice job as always.
Thanks Josh!! Zip~
ZippoVarga when you watched my Wisconsin engine run, did you hear the knocking? If so, do you.know what it could be?

Dig it! No hiccups, running perfect? Except maybe some carb work?
I've whittled it down to bad points and carb issues. Haven't been out to the shop in a few days. Trying to get this damn neck to shape up. Cheers Brother! Zip~
Nice video man
Thanks George! Zip~
Cool
thanks Zip ...
Hello, really nice video, i have the CM200T and i have just stripped it, do you have any idea where i could find the wiring diagram because i want to wire it again. Thank you!
Your best bet is to obtain (buy) an original Honda Mechanics manual. You should be able to locate one on eBay or through a Google Search. Zip~
Adim, how did it go? I’m debating on doing mine.

Search not for the wiring diagram, but for the Mechanics Manual on the motorcycle. It will have a full wiring diagram within. Zip~
Nut and bolt shops carry the right pin connector w/locks.
Hey where did you get your ignition coil from? Scrambler cycle as well?

Yes, the parts do interchange. Good Luck with the project! Zip~
is it missing or am i hearing things? always have to customize the one size fits all stuff
It is....I'm dealing with bad points. So until I replace them, I've got a miss. Good Ear Roger! Zip~
Where did you get your coil having issues finding one
Scrambler Cycle on line, but many other web sights have them. There are universal coils just about everywhere you look and that's what I used here. Zip!
Do know about cm185 6v to 12v conversation
Universal means 12v?
No IRONIC. It can be any voltage, just universal or compatible for your needs. Zip~
How can i get a 6v rectifire like that?
Do a general Google search for your motorcycle year and model then "rectifier" and you should get plenty of results. Zip~
Thank you
I need help setting the points on this thing.
The points setting process varies depending on the bike. Your best bet is to do a Google Search for your model and year of bike + points setting and all the information you could need will be in the search results. Zip~
Can you give me videos cd125 twin complete wiring who to do
I'm sorry. I don't have a bike with those specifications here to make the video with. Zip~
