Trust me, people. Nobody wants this bike to fire up more than me and wrap up this build. But along the way I already have plans for my next bike build. A mean STREET FIGHTER BUILD. The machine I'm using is a surprise for now. And the mod parts are already here. Thanks for hangin out. MP.
@@millermatic140 you call them up and send them all the components that you have so for custom work, you give them the part number for everything (headlight, flashers, speedo etc.) and they match it for you

Been a mechanic for 32 years, my strong suite is DC electrical. You did a nice job there. Kudos for hooking up the negative last! I cringe when I see people using solderless crimp connectors on a bike; its just begging for problems. I've never used the type that you show here, but they seem to be a pretty good option. One small thing for FYI in the future. When you must use a connector like the one bullet connector that you showed, experience has taught me that a spade style connector is better. Bullets tend to wallow themselves with use over time and become loose. Its a small thing, just trying to help. Love your videos, your bike looks great! Im sure you will get the snafu sorted out in due course and cant wait until we all get to hear her fire up! EDIT: As someone else pointed out, your oil tank enclosure is a water trap. Electrical and water dont mix very well. You can either rotate the enclosure or drill a hole in the bottom of it so that it will drain. Cheers!

wanna know my wiring problem? legit most of them are disconnected, luckily it seems motorcycles are much easier to work on than cars, i always tear things down to the brim to learn the inside and outside of the thing i buy (its a 1977 kawasaki kz650)
Aaah I know the frustration when you are messing with electrical and then it doesn't work. It's aggravating when all of your time, hard work and skrilla feels like a waste...but....the feeling is only temporary. It's usually just one wire backwards and a popped fuse away from working how it should. You'll get it done bud and then get to fire this baby up! Keep up the great work MP! 👍
Anekcahap C has made a good point. Your chain is too close to the electrical box. On overrun the chain will want to whip and beet against the box. Best solution I found. Is to create a chain guard. Preferably out of ( reasonably heavy gauge)angled aluminum . Then apoxy a 1/4 " thick rubber strip on its upper side. Mount the guard just above the chain. It will then eliminate any whip that tries to happen on deceleration.
Good afternoon.I've been watching your project for a long time, I like it.I want to draw your attention to one thing.perhaps I am mistaken, but it seems to me that the cylindrical box located under the saddle, during the movement it will touch the drive chain.good day.greetings from Russia. i think you didnt heat the solder enough, the solder must be really flowing and shiny, it looked like it didnt even flue and you stopped the heating too fast`? hope you get it running
Travis Kelley The starter motor is located under the carburetors . The bolt thread protruding from it near the centre of the motor is for power directly from the battery. I suggest removing the carbs (if they are still on) and removing all the spark plugs. Spray a little WD 40 into all the holes/ ports. Get some jumper cables and a car battery. Hook up the ground wire to anywhere on the case. Hook up the live to that thread I mentioned. Then touch the clamps to the battery. All being well ...... She should spin over. ......
The ignition switch or key runs (commonly referred to as B+) the switched power for the bike. This turns on and off all power to the bike. The starter switch controls the starter solenoid which controls energy going to the starter motor.

Was hoping to pick your brain if you or anyone who could possibly help, I put in a new and upgraded oil pump in my 103 cu I Harley Davidson duel cam, BECOUSE I spun a cam pencil lead barring on the left, new adjustable pushrods, and it's running really rough , my question is do you have to put one of the cylinders to top dead center like you would a car? Before you line up the timing marks and chain on the back side of the oil pump for the cams? And if so what cylinder is number one? The front jug or the rear and does it have to be on the compression stroke? I'm probably over thinking this but first Harley duel cam I've built, thank you in advance, linestorming@gmail.com Dusty

What do you mean at 9:43 that you can use *any* wire going to the black and yellow?
Invest in a multi meter and a trouble light. They will help immensely with trouble shooting.
