Thank you for watching and commenting bro! Absolutely I will make a safety video for summer. I’ve had a few requests so it’s about time. Thank you for suggesting this video topic. Helps a lot!
Dude last weekend in the woods I had a crash and went over the handlebars on my dirt bike, landed on my outstretch left hand first, totally bent it back. I couldn't move it at all and I had to get a couple miles back out of the woods on the dirt bike to the car and I couldn't use the clutch. It was hard riding abd even harder putting it up on the truck. Hand swelled up like a boxing glove and I thought I broke it, but after a few days the swelling went down. Still sore now , painful in the fingers.
There's nothing wrong with being overly protected when it comes to riding an ebike or any bike for that matter but I think we need to take a step (...or two) backwards.. When we straddle a two wheeled apparatus in order to get around or have some off road weekend fun, we need to take some responsibility. We need to be cautious and diligent to the situation we have put ourselves into.... intentionally!! Jumping on a bike or even a scooter - safety has got to be number one priority. You as a rider may be riding safely but you're not the only one sharing the road. We NEED to always think defensively - expect an absent minded driver to be near by and most of all, remember that you're not visible. Ride carefully and ride with assumption.
Thank you!! This is great learning as a medical student and as someone interested in e-bikes. I was wondering if you could post links to the products you feature on your video descriptions? I think that could be very helpful :D
Good stuff Doc! You have made the best arguments for making the investment into higher quality gear. Looking like Judge Dredd on an e bike will just have to be a compromise for commuting in heavy traffic.
Thank you for watching and commenting bro! It is kind of grim, but I hope the message is clear and effective. If at least one person averts really bad injury I'm happy!
I got an e-bike month ago and I was making very slow maybe 5 mph u-turn but made too sharp and wheel slipped fell to ground luckily I had gloves on or else my hands palms would’ve been scraped up pretty bad. Only my knee got scraped up bad from that fall
Just started watching your videos in hoping that you would put a link in the description as to what you wear & where to get them from. Nice videos anyway.

check french brand called "five" almost all gloves they are doing with palm sliders, even very ventilated mesh models.
F😮😮SH!!! 2 questions Doc: 1. Won't palm slip pads result in elbows absorbing the impact on some scenarios? 2. Are there vegan leather gloves options that perform as well as leather gloves? Vegan leather similar to what Tesla uses Thanks for making these videos brother 🐾
Thank you so much for watching brother! 1. Yes. That can definitely happen in certain situations. Obviously, you can't always predict how you're gonna fall and what the injury pattern and severity are going to be like. But, you can mitigate the severity of injuries by riding defensively and wearing proper protective gear, especially in all the most vulnerable areas. I'll be covering all the vulnerable areas and what's the best gear to get to protect each area, so you guys have the most complete information I can offer. 2. I've seen people talking about vegan leather, so they do exist. From the comments I've seen, they seem to hold up as well if not better than animal leather in most cases; and they tend to be a lot more expensive than leather in many cases. Thank you for taking the time to ask these questions. I'm sure they're going to benefit other people wondering the same things down the road
@@healthye-rider8651 No, thank you for putting this together🙏🏽 I will look into some vegan leather options Any chance you can make a video and/or recommend the best earn weather riding Gloves? I know yours are vented but they look like they might be too much for summer days
@@RustyRoads Best summer riding gloves? Sure thing! Id hardly describe these as warm, but I’ll have to see how they feel on a hot day. No matter what, I’d still make sure my summer riding gloves at least met all the criteria on the checklist in the video.
Hey guy a question ?? I have Enduro QS273 , battery 72v 52.2 Ah BMS puts out 104 Amps.. my controller is subvoton 72150amps My question is WHAT HAPPENS IF I REPLACE MY CONTROLLER WITH FARDRIVE 72350 AMPS does it give me any benefits torque higher speed and more power??????
Can you make an ebike safety gear video for summer?

Good thing I decided to wear my gloves when riding today.
Hahaha yeah - once you get your ebike you’ll get some proper gloves 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@healthye-rider8651 Oh yeah!
Thank you for explaining it. I never realized how important wearing gloves is and what kind of injuries you can get without them!
My pleasure! I’m glad to hear I’m doing a decent job of explaining things. 🥰
Love these videos man! I'm guilty of wearing THE WORST gloves for protection. Looks like it's time to upgrade... Ride on Brother!
Hahaha at least you got the something is better than nothing protection going 😅

Dang bro sounds very painful. Glad it wasn’t worse and your wrist is feeling better. Did you get it X-Rayed?
