The Pentel Graphgear 1000 is a favourite of many. Superb quality and feel to it.

Yeah, a definite favourite of mine too. The proof being when you can't help yourself hunting down limited edition colours of the same pen! 🤦‍♀️

Good pencils all. But after using them all day, every day, for hard and continuous work, I still prefer the P200 pencils. Very cheap, but incr5edibly well made. Or were forty-five years ago. I used them, and nearly all the pros I knew or worked with used them. I still have my original set, and they all still work.
We used slip on grips most of the time. We did this with any pencil we used. Today people seem to think slip on grips are for children, but that is nonsense. Comfort and control matters, and there is no better way to get both than with slip on grips. We had rolls of tubing we could snip off and use, and a very large box filled with slip on grips of every size and type. I would often switch from a very thin silicon grip to a foam grip, and then to a large triangular grip as the day wore on. Doing so rejuvenated my hand and stopped fatigue and cramping from setting in.
Anyway, after a million miles of line, hundreds of thousands of words, sketches, drawings, etc., these pencils all still work.

Totally agree - I've a box of colourful slip on grips too that get lots of use! Great for stylus and embossing tools too.

Pentel is sell here in Brasil ,in curses like arctetecture , design and art courses are recomended the sharp model, isn't the most affordeable mechanical pencil brand , I have the p365 but I think it's very slippery to the way that I hold, I would like to try the GraphGear 1000 PG1013 here it cost R$100 nd the sharp one is R$23.
I see the kokuyo in aliexpress but it is very expensive in my currenci , this model is in my wishlist, I kind collect mechanical pencil.
I bought in aliexpress the tombow monograph and really like.
Great week , hugs from Brasil!!!

I work a lot with mechanical pencils and collect them too. Have you tried Staedtler (I have one (the "All black") in my latest Haul video) - they have highly textured grips and are likely more widely available than the Japanese ones. Kokuyo's barrel size is good for me! Big hugs from Ireland!!!

I have fallen in love with the Faber Castell TK-Fine Executive. I like it ruged, comfortable and simple and that's the only pencil I could find, that has iit all. I know other people too, who own way more expensive ones, however, they also prefer the Executive! My next, purchase, is going to be the Pentel sharp P205, just because it has similarities on the desing. The Executive made me think, that now other pencil, will either feel, write or has, the features I want on a pencil Just check it's robust retractable tip, and you will understand what I mean! Nice options there too and a very nice, beatiful video!

Thanks for your comment! The P205 is a the solid performing classic drafting pencil, you can't go wrong with this choice! If you like ruged, you might look at the Rotring 600 / 800 (for the retractable nib). TK fine is also many people's trusty drawing pecil - but I don't have an exec one yet :-( Now you mention it, I must get one!

@@Papertude If you don't like thick grips and if you like detail, the Executive is a quality choice. It's not a drafting pencil, like Rotrings etc. However, it's drawing/sketching capabilities, are in top level. I also love writting with it! I'm ready to order both a Pentel sharp P205 and a P203. I hope the tips survive the shipping! PS: Executive, not only retracts the tip in, but also has the most robust tip. Only downside, is the kind of sharp transition, between the grip and the hexagonal, but I fixed it in 2 min, using my multitool's file! In my book, the perfect pencil!

Lol - thanks for the tip. If you made a video I'd be first to give it a lightning like!
