This is a MASSIVE update that will go a long way to making my clients feel more represented, thank you. As far as the meta humans presets in the future, will we be able to save our own as presets? That would be great for planning multiple scenes, or return work with the same clients

@@simonvanparijs1772 there is no password required for the betabeta (PC) or macbeta. This update is for Mac and PC. It is confirmed to work on the new M1 Apple Silicon hardware as well

I liked the old version but I stopped getting invested in it once I saw the metahumans come out and your initial video on that change last year so I am pretty excited to get rolling again with this pre-viz tool which I GREATLY appreciate! Will we be able to have the metahumans move between marks in this rollout even if they're not animated is fine with me?
The first goal is a robust posing system, that works with the furniture eventually. Animation is something I'm still experimenting with actively using Vicon Motion Capture. MetaHuman animation libraries don't exist yet, so I have to make them myself, which is a challenge so far.
@@CineTracer I wish I had the bandwidth to help you since I've been a programmer for the last 30+ years and currently a C# Senior Software developer as my day job. I have messed around with both Unity and Unreal also and put together several ideas to put out some VR titles for release. I also am fully invested in getting my film production under full swing the last year and shooting the initial day of a music video for a current #1 Billboard radio play song yesterday and finished production on a 40 minute short 2 weeks ago. I am starting a feature this week also as well as trying to get a Midi/Expression controller prototype finished! So like you I am swamped and I get that it takes time which is why I would love you help you not to mention I love your vision!
I changed the way assets are being loaded, so the Character Building mode had to be disabled for this update to stabilize the new system. It will be addressed and or updated in future updates.
Exporting and loading pose libraries is on the roadmap for sure. I still don’t do any web server backend to make them sharable directly in the game/app yet.
It’s shown in the beginning. Click the Settings(gear) Icon in Steam, go to Properties / Betas and select “v0_63” and then close the properties window. No password needed. It will then download v0_63.
Hi Matt, Just want to ask you a question about an "issue" that I noticed on the software. In RTX control when I enable: Accurate Reflection and Bounced Lighting, without "ambient light" level and together with the "ray traced shadow" option in a light source the visualization of the scenario results noisy and not accurate. I'm not so experienced in graphic themes but it's like my computer it's not able to render in a "real-time" scenario. This happens also if I take a still in the storyboard album. My pc is an MSI laptop with intel i7-10875 and a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q. This configuration is not enough to render in real-time the game with those settings? Thank you very much for your continued effort in this project.
At this point only RTX Shadows are really usable at run time and they make a big difference. RTX Reflections and GI are too heavy and are mostly being used for offline Unreal Engine work. I’m considering removing the RTX Reflections/GI/Transparency options. RTX Shadows is very helpful though. UE5 has a new lighting system for bounced lighting called Lumen that performs better than RTX GI at run time. Eventually we will be using this.
Hello, I am a user from China. Now my software cannot add any objects, characters, or lights, etc. Except for the 5 objects of the shortcut key, clicking any other objects does not respond. I have tried using lower resolutions and settings, uninstalled the software and reinstalled, but nothing has improved, what should I do?
Will the mocap presets work with the meta humans? I use the talking and typing (piano) preset constantly and these are wonderful to show some movement in the scenes. Would be nice to get some movement presets like these with the new meta humans.

Hi I would like to give and usefull idea, how about an option that makes all the cameras invisible for the other cameras. For example, I have a set up with 5 angles, and I just want to go from camera to camera, but the others appear in front. It would be possible? Thanks!!
Speaking to your statement about the concessions you have to make to carve out space and memory for meta humans.. Why not consider Reallusion Charachter creator or iclone?
MetaHumans are the base character from now on. They are free and easily licensed for Unreal Engine products. Reallusion Character Creator 4 looks great, but they have a legal clause that prevents you from making character customizer apps.
I want so much a customizable system for scenary 😢Anything from 2d to 3d, so people could make their personal libraries and share online. It would spare you of the work and make the program so much more valuable 😢pleeeease
MacOS: if you are having trouble starting the app after updating. Trying uninstalling and reinstalling.
Click the mouse a few centimeters to the right, but you don't need to move it accurately

Yes, user library for poses and MetaHuman presets is on the roadmap.

No Camera or Light or Building or Props or Actor Could be loaded even after Drag & Drop or from Hotbar.... Please help Matt.

When will the cine tracer meta come out. I like that concept so much more. Cant wait for it to come out.
Waiting on Unreal Engine 5 to officially come out and then development on that will resume.
I’d love to see all clothing options be interchangeable between body types.
The clothing I make has to be made separately for each body type. But in general if the garment is close enough to fitting both I enable it for both.

I haven't test it to be honest. But I haven't changed anything with VR Mode. I do plan on getting the mapping correctly so people can use the Quest 2.

It’s a good idea. I have a similar camera/board system I’ll be adding to the live version soon that may work for your example.

Is it normal not to be able to put led panels and tugnesten lights? They simply don't work
Yeah there is an issue with lights for Character building right now. You can place them if you use Editor Mode. I’ll look into the issue soon.
how about metahuman face morphable? and is it can input and export metahuman? that will be so cool~thanks
Face and Body Morphs long term may be possible, but I haven’t started that research. No import or export of MetaHumans, legally that will not happen.
